I'm down to $137.76 for a week, using Priceless Vacation code and Entertainment book coupon.

This is for September 30-October 7.

edited to add: I'm down another $10 today, I feel like I should pop some popcorn and watch the rates fall, LOL!

Hey, I feel like I'm following you around! ;)

I tried to post that rates for the end of Sept/beginning of Oct have come down this week but my post wouldn't post...kept telling me I it was a duplicate post but it never posted. :confused3

Anyway, I checked my rate starting this past Monday and it's gone down 3 times! Today it's the same but still, that's great.

I started out at $97 for 4 days Sept 29 PM through Oct 3 PM and now it's at $79.

tevas, restaurants, MNSSHP....our trips are even at the same time, LOL!

I'd love to see my weekly rate get as low as it did in April. :)

What size car are you getting at that rate? Using the same codes I get a rate of $147 for an intermediate.

intermediate car, on the Emerald Aisle.

My rate for the 10 days has not changed since January, $144. but I don't expect it to. I am happy with it. :sunny:

Just checked my rate for Mini Van 9/30-10/6. Still the same that it has been for the last 2 months. Oh well, thanks for the information.

Have you checked Alamo for the mini-van? There's a thread that mentions mini-vans for around $150/week.

I did and found it somewhat less expensive. However, I am a member of the emerald club and love the fact that I can bypass the counter and go directly to my car. Can I do that with Alamo???

I don't have a clue, LOL...I've never rented with Alamo, either. That's part of the struggle I'm having right now. We have a full-size SUV reserved at Alamo for the same price (give or take a dollar) as the Emerald Aisle. It is nice to be guaranteed that vehicle, because we are a family of 5.

If I understand it correctly, you have to check in at the Alamo desk (which is right next to National at MCO, I think) and then pick out your vehicle from the lot. We will join Quicksilver through Alamo, if we decided to keep the SUV rental.

That made things clear as mud, didn't it? LOL....

What is the priceless vacation code you have and where do you get it? I have a full size rental with National for Nov. 25th for 8 days and have a rate of $235.00. I keep checking for it to go down, or using different codes, but the rate is the same. Will I have a better chance of the price going down as our rental time is closer? If someone could enlighten me on what a priceless code is I would be so grateful. I have seen them mentioned here, but dont have a clue as to what they are. THANKS A BUNCH!!! :flower: :flower: :flower:

I think your problem is the time you are going. I have a rental for November 25 through December 3 and after booking well over $200 back in January, and checking often, my grand total with contract #6600330 and $20 coupon is $149 but it was only very briefly that low and then went right back up again. It's because it's the day after Thanksgiving.

Your best bet is to check National often.

Thanks for reminding me to check my rate, down $20 (arrive in 2 weeks time)

Now $106 for Sept 30-Oct 5th EA.

:teleport:

Thanks! Saved $20 for midsize for total of $150.42 for 1 week, 1 day.

I keep checking for my dates 11/29-12/5 to go down and they haven't budged. I hope as time gets closer I can get a little more off.

I am happy and jealous of those of you that are getting such good rates!

I am Sept 24- Oct 1, emeral isle, intermediate. I've been stuck at 146 for a few weeks now. I try almost every day. Any suggestions?
thanks

Is there a way to pull up your existing ressie to check if the price has gone down or do you have to make a brand new reservation every time you do a price check?

Thanks!

No, the only way to check if rates went down, is to try and book a new reservation; get a new quote.

Your already booked rate/reservation will stay the same.

If you do get a better rate, you book it and then go and cancel your older rate/reservation that was higher.
