Hi All,
I posted a few weeks ago regarding my DH, DS and my accounts being disabled by MyPoints. They did notify me of my account being disabled "due to some confusion" regarding my recent redemption attempt. They cancelled the redemption and asked for my State or Federal ID to be faxed to them. I emailed them asking if they could send this request on MyPoints company statoinary via snail-mail because the notification I received did not appear to be from MyPoints.com as it had a different email address. I
explained I was hesitate about sending a copy of my State ID via fax to an unknown, and untraceable, fax machine. I explained I was reluctant due to my computer recently crashing because of a major virus. They told me to fax the ID and c"black out" all personal info except DOB, Name, and the picture had to be clear.
They never notified my husband or son of their accounts being disabled. They only found out when they attempted to log on. I sent copies of my husband's State license and our son's college ID (he does not have a driver's license or federal ID).
They reinstated my husband and my account but refused to reinstate our son's. The notification came via a nasty email from a MyPoints.com rep telling me that only one account per person was allowed, and that each individual should handle their own account.
Although, I had explained in an earlier email that we do reward programs togeth as a family from the same computer, I feel from the tone of the letter they thought my husband and son did not exist.
I know this is very long but I was very upset of being accused of something that was proven to be unsubstansiated. They did all of this under the guise of protecting me and their program. This use to be a fun way to earn restaurant meals and other little extras that are infreqeunt with two college aid kids but, after this experience we have pretty much stopped using MyPoints.com
