This is my first vacation report, although we have been to WDW many times before. I always read everyone elses reports and love them. But while they all are very good, they seem really long, so I will condense mine for you:

Saratoga Springs Resort:
We stayed there for 12 days, in the Springs. The busses were great. Never waited for more than 10 minutes. In fact we rode 8 times by ourselves on the busses to the parks! Only one time did we have to stand (after Wishes). The food court (sorry Art. Palette) was always packed. There were qiute a bit of stuff not thrown away and left on the tables. Spills on the floors etc.. I guess they really arent staffed as a food court as such. Anyway it was disappointing that people didnt pick up for themselves.

Rode bikes on the trail to OKW and it is a very quiet and relaxing thing to do. Donald fountain was working. The "homecoming" party at the pool on sundays was great. There were games and activities for the kids. Did notice that workers from the SPA were cleaning stuff @ the guest laundry site using up 3-4 washers and dryers. The resort though is very beautiful and well worth multiple stays. I will say that we had visited the last year and it seemed like there was no one there. This time there were a ton of people but ot like POP.

Vero Beach

WOW! What a view (we had an Ocean Aview room 4th floor). It was amazing thats really all I can say. Our DD who is 6 just went out on the balcony and stayed there for like an hour just watching the Ocean and listening to the waves. We actually got there from WDW and we only stayed one night, so unable to do many of the activities, but the pool and resort were wonderful for one or two nights.

Anyway I guess it was longer than I thought LOL! I did get some great Vero shots from our room but I dont know how to attach them, so for anyone who has never been to Vero but would like to see them feel free to email me and I will try to send them to you: unc6@hotmail.com

What is the homecoming party on Sunday afternoon? We're heading down next week and it sounds like something my kids would like.

Did you like the Springs? We're torn between asking for Congress Park (for view and proximity to DTD) and the Springs because I'm sure my kids will be at the pool and community hall a lot.

JennyPenny we loved the Springs b/c of close proximity to Comm. Hall and the pool, and AP. I would guess though that Congress Park is very beautiful with its views. The sunday party by the pool, they bring out some music and have a trivia contest, ,hula hoop contest, baloon tossing contest, races with noodles (swimming), and a guests vs. guards/cast members filling up a bucket with water. The kids all get a little prize just for participating in any of the events. Its fun and relaxing. Also check out the DVC Summer Block party at Downtown Disney on Tuesdays from 5-7. I believe they run for a few more weeks. Its by Motion I think. This was great as well. We got a free DVC magnet/light up thing, and we all got free coupons to use for Cotton candy, popcorn and ice cream. They also played music for the kids to dance to in Motion. I would recommend doing it if you are there on Tuesday.

I also noticed the spa employees washing Spa linens/robes at the guest laundry as well. Maybe someone needs to let DVC know about this. When a guest can't do their laundry because the Spa staff are using the washers and dryers, it's a problem.

We will be there in October for 10 nights. We can't wait.
