Multi-Pass Party Staggering

I’m sure this is somewhere, but having difficulty locating.

Situation:

My wife and I are taking our almost 3(free!) and 8 month old to DW. I do all the planning/app work in our family.

If we purchase the multi-pass and I nab Space Mountain, we both will have to go at the same time, correct?

My read is I have to stack our reservations since one adult will be waiting with our children. Is there an easier way to do this?

Rider Swap? Make the LL for both of you, mention child rider swap at the entrance, one of you scans, rides, and comes out then the other scans, rides, and comes out, leaving one of you with the kids for those attractions they cannot experience.

Any LL pass is always good for a one-hour window, and usually you can enter up to 5 minutes before and 15 minutes after that window. But even then I’d talk to the CM at the entrance so they can mark the second-riding spouse officially as a rider swap, which I believe would lengthen your return window, just in case of any delays the first-riding spouse encounters on the ride.
