* My "SURPRISE" Anniversary trip, Hubby Planned it All * Photopass & Video w/ Music*

Love your report so far! I've always said it would be so nice to go without the kids. We're going to our 10 year anniversary in Aug.(It's in March but dh started a new job so waiting for the summer) but the kids are going with us! Maybe for our 20th no kids? :confused3 LOL

:wave2: Wendy, Sorry it has taken me soo long to get over to your trip report. But I guess you're half the blame, keeping me busy disigning!!!!!!:rotfl:
Anyway I have loved everytihing I've read so far! The roses were beautiful, and what a handsome couple at dinner! The shirts you made came out fabulous they looked really good! Can't wait to read more!! Looks like that new camera takes great pics!:upsidedow

What a wonderful surprise.....the roses are GORGEOUS! :flower3:

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I need to do that for my DW (even though it's an early anniversary).
You definately should. I'm sure she would love it.
Your breakfast "snacks" look so good!!

Great TR!!!
They were very tasty. That chocolate croissant was so soft. It doesn't really look like it from the picture. I was so happy when we went to Boma's for breakfast because they had them on the buffet. :cool1: They were cut much smaller but still just as tasty.

Congratulations on getting to go for your anniversary. I love going with my kids but it was a totally trip without them.

Sorry Kelly,:flower3:
If you weren't so talented I wouldn't keep seeing things I "need". :rotfl: Thanks for the compliments on the shirts. Making them is so much fun. I think they make pictures look so much cuter when everyone matches.

You're right, the little camera did very well. I love it.

Wendy - Lovin the TR. I have a question regarding the pic of family w/ matching white Dis shirts. Did someone here on the boards make the design? Do you remember who?

I am requesting shirts for family to wear. If my DH gives me grief I plan to share the pic of your husband. If he can wear it so can you! And do you know what he did? Planned a Disney trip for his wife for Anniversary present including dining and flowers and ...

Just kidding but I will share your story.

Yes, someone on here made the design. They designed all our shirts forthis trip and our last one. I'm not sure which design you're talking about though. Is it from the family movie or from the anniversary trip. What are we doing in the picture.

Good luck to you. I hope your DH will wear your shirts and not say anything. If he knows it will make you happy he probably will. :flower3:

Wendy, am enjoying your thread! What a guy!!!
Thanks for joining in. The review of our dinner at Narcoosee's should be coming up shortly.

Wolfgang Puck Express & Downtown Disney

So, we left MGM and made our way to Downtown Disney. When we got there it was getting close to lunchtime so we went straight to Wolfgang Puck Express to eat first.

We hadn't ever been there before but I have read alot about it and seen lots of yummy pictures, so I knew we had to check it out. They have a really large, detailed menu that could be a little intimidating. Luckily we had studied it online before we left home and we knew just what we wanted to order. I got the barbecue chicken quesadilla. This was soooooo good. I just wish I had of had more that salsa type stuff on top. It was very filling, but I managed to eat it all. :rotfl:

DH ordered the spaghetti. I came with a piece of garlic bread and a side salad. He thought it was very tasty. The picture makes it looks like it wasn't that big of a serving, but it was. It filled him up. :thumbsup2

Before I tell you about dessert, I want to brag on this restaurant some more. This is counted as a counter service on the dining plan but it sure doesn't feel like it. Once you place your order and get your drink, you have a seat. Then "your waiter" brings you your food and gets your drink refills.

When we fininshed eating, "our waiter" came and asked if we were ready for our dessert. You order it with your meal but they bring it when you're done. DH got the brownie. It was very soft and homemade tasting.

I odered the frozen yogurt. I think they had chocolate or vanilla and then you got to pick from a bunch of toppings. One toppings is included. I got the vanilla with brownies. YUM!!!

We were so full when we left. We definately needed to go do some walking. First we headed to one of my favorite stores.....Basin. I just love those bath bombs! Then we wandered around World of Disney for quite a while. I always get lost in that store. :upsidedow I bought a few things there.....my daughter a necklace, a sweatshirt for mysef and a few other things. When I got up to the cash register, I saw they were having a great promo. If you spent $50.00 you got a really nice Disney throw for $15.00. I also saw the same promo at most of the stores in the Magic Kingdom.

Our next stop was the Lego Store. My son loves Legos so we spent quite a while looking for the perfect thing to take back to him.

I really wanted to check out the new T-Rex restaurant. They were building it when we were there last summer. I think everyone there had the same idea. That place was PACKED!!!:scared1: It's really unique looking inside but I don't think we'll try it out since it's not on the dining plan. Here's some pictures I took of the inside and outside of it.

This room looked like a cave and changed colors. Very pretty.

We did a little bit more browsing throught the stores and then decided to head back to AKL and get changed for dinner.

Coming up next: Our favorite meal, Narcoosee's & Wishes!!!

It is a counter service and such a great value. I think our meal came to around $35.00-$40.00.

It looks like a really fun restaurant. If my son was into dinosaurs we would probably have to eat there. I just hope the new wears off soon because it was ridiculously crowded in there.

Awesome update Wendy! We're going to have to try Wolfgang puck express one day.

We loved Wolfgang Pucks when we ate there last month, too! It's sooo good and like you said, not really like a counter meal since you just sit and they serve you...one of our better meals!! You lunch looked yummy!! And your dessert.....wow...could use one of those right now!!!;)

Can't wait to hear all about your big night at Narcossees...we ate there on our honeymoon in 2000 and can't wait to go back someday, it was delish!! And wishes, too! Your DH really planned well!!pixiedust:

Hey Lynn,
I can't believe you and Tim haven't ever eaten there. You would love it. It's so much better than any of the other CS places.

I'm so glad we tried it. It's my favorite CS now. :thumbsup2 I would love to try something new but I think when we go back in June I'm going to get the exact same thing I got this time. :rotfl: It was that good.

I just ate lunch and am still hungry now thanks to the yummy pictures of WFG Pucks!
I've never tried the spaghetti. Maybe I will in March!

Great job shopping!

I think DH and I will try Wolfgang Pucks when we go in January....the food looks great! Can't wait for another update!

Wolfgang puck's looks so tasty!!! We were thinking about trying that the next time we are there. Now that I have seen a little bit more we might have to.

Yeah T-rex was kinda fun. We lucked out and actually got in with only a 20 min wait on New Years Eve. I was shocked. My son loved it. But he is really into Dino's. Plus every so often they have screens on the ceiling that make it look like there is a metor storm hitting. It is along the same lines as Rainforest cafe' just with Dino's. I would say you should try it some time.:thumbsup2 If even just for the atmosphere :goodvibes

Great update!

Hey! Another Kentuckian here. I'm from Shelbyville, just outside of Louisville. Found your report the other day. Looks like you guys had a great trip. I would like to take my wife for a trip alone also. Can't wait to hear about the rest of it!

So did you guys survive the ice/snow storm?
