My first trip to WDW and DH's first time being arrested (Dec 2009)

Anxiously waiting for you Lee! I love your TR, I might have to send it to my mom to read, she was loving some of the PTRs when she was visiting.

I am still loving it and can not wait to read more. I think that when you get to go again I would like to be there at the same time as you guys just so i could experience a man opening the doors for me and may be try your relaxing go where the day takes you kind of way.

Off topic I love reality TV, my husband not to much but will watch some of it with me too. What was up with the nominations on big brother tonight? how does either of those to leaving help Brendon out. I do not think they were that good.
Omagosh! that would be so much fun to go to disney and meet and hang out with all the friends I have made here. Rig would gladly open your door, and help you step down off the bus, and pull out your chair for you...

big Brother is getting so crazy. the brigade had Brendon so buffaloed. enzo is a good player mind wise, physicaly though even I could take him. but Enzo got into Brendons head and there you go, freaky nominations. Ragan will be going home, I am sure of it.

I think this is by far the best trip report I have read on here to date. I am loving every minutes of it. I have laughed, I've gasped, I've clapped. It's awesome. I've spent 2 hours reading each and every post. Not going to be pretty in the morning when I have to get up super early to take my son to a cardiology appointment, but so worth it!

BTW, I love the innoncence in your writing style, if that makes sense. It reminds me of an author, whose name escapes me at the present. If I remember, I will let you know.

Can't wait for the next installment!
thank you, I don't think I have ever had the best anything before, so you telling me I have the best trip report means alot to me thank you.

Your son has a cardiology appointment, is he ok? I can put him on the prayer list at church.

the innocence of my writing style? I don't understand, do you mean like I am new and it shows? Or is it my spelling and punctuation, I read back over what I write and have the time it reads like a child wrote it. :lmao:

Just wanted to add:

While pictures are usually the reason I look at trip reports, I am loving this one without them. I personally think you should not include a picture until the end, if Rig agrees. It just keep the mystery and suspense going. :)
that is an idea to run by Rig, wouldn't that be great?

the suspense is KILLING me...
sorry, I am trying to get as much written as often as I can. but I'm glad you're hanging in there. It's coming.

Oh man. Like everyone else here, I'm totally hooked! Your headline intrigued me but your writing is what made me read this in one setting. Even though I was supposed to be in bed over an hour ago! :)

At this point all I have to say is that you two are adorable! I'm a little jealous you snagged a cowboy (I always wanted to be a cowgirl) but of course I wouldn't give up my real life knight in shining armor. :lovestruc

Thanks for sharing your trip! I can't wait to read about the rest of it.
I never wanted to be a cowgirl, I always thought cowgirls and cowboys would be smelly. I love my cowboy though and he smells pretty good, (in the morning before work)

Knights in shining armor are right up there next to the cowboys and southern gentleman. they are great men who know how to treat a woman. Aren't we lucky?

I totally agree WeLoveToyStory, I am enjoying picturing them in my head.
I just love that people are picturing us in their head. It's fun finding out what people imagine us to look like. so far for me I have been told buffy the vampire slayer, sissy spacek (playing lorreta lynn)
And for Rig I think it was Tim Riggins from Friday night lights, Doolittle Lynn and a cross between Jet from the amazing race and Steven from Big Brother a few seasons ago.

Lee, with your fear of heights, how did you do with flying?? I, too, have a huge HUGE fear of heights so Im a little nervous. I have flown many other times and it was only until the past couple times did it really bother me. The last time we went to Fl there were 5 adults and only my DD who was 14 mo's so I was able to take some Zanax and pass out before the plane took off. This time I won't have that luxury so I think I will just have to plan on hyperventilating the entire time.

just curious because as each day gets closer to the flight the more I just want to get in my car and meet my family there.
Hi cassie, I don't have a problem flying, I tell myself I am on a bus and then I don't look out the window when we are in the air. Just try psyching yourself out to believe you are not flying.also maybe you will be bogged down with excitement and won't notice your up in the air.

I can't wait to read more. :lovestruc
Thank you, soon, I promise.

I found your trip report the other day and I have been hooked. I love it so much it is hard for me to leave it and come back. I have been very busy with my own little family and our love story (lol) we have an 8 week old, a 19 month old and a 3 yr old. Seriously though, you are a fantastic writer, you write a stroy just like I tell one and if you blog or write a novel, I will be first in line to read it!! I am loving your story so much, that I had to call my sister this morning and I read her the first four pages (lol, that is how crazy I am over it, she is hooked and probably reading it on her own now).

We have a big group of us going to WDW in Sept, this is our second family trip, we went last year and have been saving ever since to be able to go again. I cried (only a few tears) when watching our little ones see the Train full of characters arrive at the station and the opening ceremonies before entering Magic Kingdom, it was definitely a dream come true to be there especially as a family!! I am so happy you and Rig had an amazing time, I will for sure be thinking of you when we are there!!

I can't wait to read more!! Btw, my hubby is the same with the saying I talk too much and have way too many details, he is forever saying to me "Coles notes Lindsay", but when I give him the "coles notes" he asks a hundred questions, so, I just tell it my way lol!! Keep up the great work!!
You have got your hands full, I am honored that you found the time to read my trip report.

I never saw the train of characters come out, we were always a few minutes too late, but I am sure I wuld have cried. It must be so heart warming watching your babies come alive at seeing the characters and such. I can't wait to have that.

This is the best TR ever! I've neglected my real life for hours now, reading this! Can't wait for more! :surfweb:
Wow, I hope I'm not the reason the laundry doesn't get done, and dinner is take out.

Best...tr...ever!
Thank you so much, I really mean it.

Anxiously waiting for you Lee! I love your TR, I might have to send it to my mom to read, she was loving some of the PTRs when she was visiting.
thank you, I will get something out there soon, and just incase your mom does read it
Hi tankgirl427's mom:wave2:

I'm almost willing to be I'm the only guy that's posted to this thread so far. Other than MickeyMomOfThree DH, I bet I'm the only other guy reading this thread. :lmao: Or at least one of the only guy to admit reading it. You caught my attention by the title. Like everyone else, I'm waiting to see how Rig gets arrested. I hardly ever read TR's, or even books for that matter, but you got me hooked. DW loves to read. I told her about this thread and she's also loving it. She's also a Disboard member, so she's been keeping up with it to. We find ourselves talking about your story. You're a really great writer. Will check back later for more updates. :surfweb:

BTW, I love the innoncence in your writing style, if that makes sense.

the innocence of my writing style? I don't understand

and Jenny said she just loved that name, it was so different and a strong boys name, "I'm going to add it to the list of baby names I have going for when we have a baby."

I didn't know if I should feel miffed or not, I didn't like hearing from some woman that she might possibley be using my husbands name for her child in the future. I have no right to feel that way, I don't own the name, I just thought I wasn't even going to name our future son Rig, but I didn't want anybody else using his name either.

I changed my mind though once we all got to know eachother better and became friends. Yes Jenny and Grant are our friends now.

Maybe you will indeed be lifelong friends with Jenny, IDK, but chances are whether she & Grant actually would name one of their sons "Rig" or not you'll probably never know the difference anyway. Yet you described feeling miffed (jealous) about it. An innocent perception IMO

Grant started bawking like a chicken at me. Rig turned to face him and put 1 finger on his chest and pushed him back. "Don't make fun of her, she's scared and that's not something to make fun of."

A man putting his finger on another man's chest is very confrontational. This could have had a bad outcome, especially if Grant was a hothead.

popcorn::

Loving it more and more. Can't wait to hear some more. I keep picturing my mom's little town in MT when you talk about Rig's job.

Our return time for Soarin had past. Grant said we could get another fast pass and he wanted to ride Test Track.

while we were standing out front of test track I could hear the ride, it sounded like the cars were going a hudred miles an hour. Grant could tell I was scared already, it doesn't take people too long to figure out that I am wimpy when it comes to heights and speed. "it's just like riding in a convertable car," he told me

We got in line and Grant and Jenny kept assuring me that this ride was fun, not scary and if I handled mission space so well then I could do this ride with no problems.

But it sounds really fast."

"It's only like 60 miles an hour, maybe 65."

jenny thought she had a convincing argument there, but Rig new better. "Lee is always hollerin for me to slow it down."

"Because you drive like 80 miles an hour Rig."

"Baby lee...Really? You know my truck shimmys at 40."

"Rig, when you drive MY truck, you go too fast."

I knew I was going to ride this, I really wanted to experience everything I could at Disney world. I came out of Space Mountain unscathed, I was mentally messed up for a while, but my physical being was sound. I came off thunder mountain in tip top shape. I can't say the same for Rig. but I knew I could ride this.

"does it have seatbelts?"

"It does, said Jenny patting my shoulder, you are perfectly safe."

The line moved fast until we got to a part where there really wasn't a line anymore, people were just all bunched up by a door. We stood there for about 10 minutes before the door opened and we were let into a room where we watched a screen explaining all the test sequences we were going to experience. We then went into the big room where all the cars were. We could see people coming in on their cars who had just raced around the track, most of them were laughing, all of them were smiling. This looks good for me I thought.

"How many in your party?" a CM asked

"Four"

He told us where to line up. Jenny and Grant insisted we take the front seat for our first ride on Test Track. I didn't know If I wanted the front seat, but Rig had already taken my hand and pulled me to our spot.

Right before we were about to board our car Rig turned to me and said "don't bite me now Hannibal."

He stepped down into the car first and then helped me down, we got strapped in and the ride lurched forward. I was expecting that I would be surprised left and right, but they tell you which sequence is coming up next. I really liked being tested for extreme heat, I was warm for like 20 seconds, it was nice while it lasted. I did scream when I thought we were going to be smashed head on by a truck. But the most exciting part was when the car went outside onto the track. I loved the feeling of building up speed and then just racing around the outside. I didn't feel the need to burry my head in Rigs chest. I was overcome with a braveness I never knew I could have. I wanted to stand up and throw my arms in the air. That thought only lasted a second before my common sense kicked in. "Do you WANNA die today Lee?" and the answer was no, I didn't want to die. I stayed buckled in and seated. We weren't even stopped when I told Rig I have got to do that again.

the ride came to a stop and Rig climbed out then turned and pulled me out too. Grant had gotten out of the back seat first and told jenny, "Hey don't forget the bag."

Rig shook his head in disbelief, he went over and took the bag from Jenny and helped her out of the car. If Grant thought anything about that he didn't show it.

Off the ride I was so caught up in excitement. I loved the magic of disney World and I was starting to love the thrill of it now too. that's when I told myself for sure I would ride every ride there was. I even told Rig that I wasn't going to be a baby, I was up for anything.

Grant said, "they give ballon rides at downtown Disney."

"Ok, I am up for most anything, not everything.

Jenny picked our next adventure. "Let's go see honey I shrunk the audience."

Grant moaned, "I hate shrinkage."

It had started to rain on the walk over, Rig pulled the poncho out of his back pocket and I put it on, it smelled like paint and was huge on me. But it was nice that I would stay dry. I gave the umbrella to Rig so he could use it, he just tucked it into his jacket.

We went into the building for the show, we watched yet another movie, Disney likes to bombard you with preshows before giving you the real thing.

We were let into the theater and found seats in the middle. the show started and I got bored. just for a little while, I should say I started out bored and ended up sitting on my feet, my face pressed into Rigs chest. "Watch the teeth Jaws."

This show was too much for me. the mice running by my legs, the dog spit, the snake in my face. Ugh! people like this? It was cool though how once we were shrunk down, the floor would bounce with the movement of the footsteps on the screen. that was a neat effect, I think that was pretty original. but all in all I would call this tired and outdated, it was like a cheap carnival trick. For everything that I had already experienced from Disney world I was expecting the same here and I left a little disappointed.

So I needed some thrills again. We went to ride Soarin for the second time. the fast pass line was still kin dof long, but we at least didn't have to wait in the regular line. The time posted for that was 90 minutes. It amazed me that people would actually wait that long.

Grant had apologized to me again for picking for at me. I told him it was already forgotten.

"I thought your husband was going to lay me out."

"I don't think he would have done that."

Honestly I don't know what Rig would have done if Grant didn't stop teasing me. I don't think it would have come to anything physical unless Grant wanted it to.

One time Rig and I were walking in the park in town and some young trouble making guys there drinking and harrassing folks. when Rig and I walked past them one of the guys made a nasty vulgar gesture towards me. Rig told him to apologize to me and the man was like "Or what?" Rig grabbed onto him and had him pinned up against a tree in 10 seconds flat. His face was inches from the mans and he said "you sure you want to take that walk son?" the guy apologized immediately.

but Grant did apologize and all was forgiven.

For our second ride on Sorain we were in the middle row and that's when I understood the foot view thing that Jenny had talked about.

I have to go run an errand for Rig, I will be right back to add more.

wow, i just found this report and i must say i love it. i leave in 8 hours to go to disney world and i thank goodness my dh has an iphone so i can check for updates at night. seriously i want to buy the book your writing rocks

I seriouly am hooked. My favorite song on my CD was playing when I pulled in, normally I'd finish the song before coming in, but I didn't. The I put away just the perishables before coming to catch up.

I love Test Track too, it's great. I have not been on Mission Space, hubby and the girls do it but they said it is one I wouldn't handle well and so I have taken their word for it. I am always curious about it but after our 3rd daughter was born I developed motion sickness so I have decided not getting sick is best. They thought I could handle EE, and I didn't so well, I didn't get sick but I felt kind of "teacuppy" for a couple hours after.

This is KILLING me! :scared1: I keep checking back every few minutes to see if you are back from your errand. Your writing is amazing. I love Nicholas Sparks, but I think you remind me more of Adrianna Trigiani. If you haven't read her "Big Stone Gap" series you really should.

Epcot is my favorite park. My family loves it too. When DD rode Mission: Space for the first time she was 7. When she got off she jumped up and down screaming, "I'm alive! I'm alive!" Yes, I felt a little guilty with all those people looking at me like "what has she done to her child?" But she loved it. :)

I can't wait to see what you and Rig thought of World Showcase- or maybe you didn't get that far. Still waiting to find out about the upcoming arrest. popcorn::

I have to subscribe to this report. Just waiting to see how your husband gets locked up, I am certain it will be interesting.

By the way, very nice job writing this report. You certainly have a talent.

I'm sure it must of been nice to go around with people who knew what to do and when.
I'm sure the girl must of been jealous since you and Rig have a better relationship then her and her DH who were just married!
Are they still happy together? Do you guys keep in tough?
I can NOT wait to hear about the arrest! Is that in tonight's update?

Another person now from El Paso? Where in Cloudcroft did his family vacation. has he ever heard of Inn of the Mountain Gods? Rig and I snuck off one weekend and stayed there for a night.

Oh sure, he knows the Inn of the Mountain Gods -- but they never stayed anywhere that fancy growing up. He says they had a cabin in Robin Hood Park when he was small, if you know where that is. He and his little brother had to wear cow bells when they went running around the woods, so their parents could hear where they were.

Eagerly waiting for the next installment....

I'm planning to go around the same time this year and we are even staying at POP Century! can't wait to hear the rest I love your story so far! I can definitely understand the family issues too! glad you guys were able to overcome it, :thumbsup2

Wow, the more and more I read, the more and more Grant sounds like he needs to take some tips from Rig on how to be a better person to Jenny!

So proud of you for riding Test Track!

there are other guys, but you are right, you are the only one who will outright admit that. Nebo admitted to it as well, he admitted to alot;)

Omagosh, you and your wife talk about my story? that is the neatest thing. I feel a little bit famous right now

thank you for reading and posting.

A man putting his finger on another man's chest is very confrontational. This could have had a bad outcome, especially if Grant was a hothead.

OK I Itotally get the innocent writing statement now. I am all over the place, my thought process jumps from past tense to present tense in one sentence. I need to organize my thoughts a little better, but then again I write the way I talk and my thoughts are never organized. I'm new to writing so we'll see if that gets any better.

I completely agree with you, Rig was very confrontational with Grant. He has never been one to beat around the bush, if he's upset you will know it, but it passes quickly.

Loving it more and more. Can't wait to hear some more. I keep picturing my mom's little town in MT when you talk about Rig's job.
I love our little town. I could never live in the city ever again.

Ok all caught up! next chapter please
I'm going to try and get alot done on this tonight since Rig will be out late and I don't have to work tomorrow.

Anxiously awaiting my RigLee fix. Hurry back, Lee!
:flower3: it's on its way, I just need to catch up on some posts.
