MVMCP Map - Higher Res Scan

Good morning DISers!

I was wondering if anyone has a copy of the MVMCP map/brochure.... that they could scan in.

Yes, I've seen the online version already, but I was hoping to "send it to my phone." and the resolution simply isn't good enough for me to blow up to the appropriate size to read it on my phone.

I'd be most grateful!

Yup...that's the one (You're right... I should have linked to the map I already have).

For some reason, your map/photos come through great... That just doesn't seem to work as well.

Those MVMCP maps scans are actually posted at much larger sizes than the maps I post here.

Mine (for the most part) are posted as 800 pixels wide.

Those MVMCP maps are posted at 2000 (!) pixels wide.

How are you accessing them on your phone?

Huh.... You're right, of course.

Maybe it's because they get shrunk somehow in the process, and then I can't blow them up on the phone? I dunno.

To answer your question, I'm using dropbox. (If you're not familiar with the service, you can get 1GB for free, and it automatically syncs between your multiple computers, an online backup, and your phone. So I simply saved the map image to my dropbox folder, which put it on my phone.)

I wonder... what's interesting is that the file size isn't all that much different between those maps and your phone. Your maps (though only 800 px wide) are mostly between 150-300kb. The MVMCP map (at 2000px wide) still comes in around 300kb. So even though the image takes up more screen space, I suspect that the resolution is lower than your maps.

Ultimately, it's not a big deal... I can view the map on the computer screen just fine.

ah...just cuz I'm a bit of a dork.

By putting it on my phone, I can refer to it while travelling down... I figure the more I look at that (and Robo's) maps, the less times I'll need to dig out a map when I'm there!
