I wasn't necessarily planning to book a FP for MSEP (I was planning to watch from Frontierland or near Hall of Presidents, originally) but when I started working on our touring plan for our 3rd MK day, I got to the evening time and didn't see a whole lot we would projected to be waiting long for. So I'm tossing around the idea of booking an MSEP FP. This is for Thursday 6/9.

For info purposes, I've planned out most of our mornings and early evenings, but am very flexible with the nights, one) because we aren't even sure of hours yet and two) because it's my 60 yr old parents and my under 5 yr old boys traveling with me. We have plans to do Wishes another MK night, and plans for most other rides on our other two MK days.

Here's my touring plan:

What is your opinion on the MSEP FP if you've done it? We'd have to walk all the way back to the flagpole near the entrance to MK, then all the way back to BTMRR afterward (if we decided to stay and ride that). My biggest concern is waiting. With two young children, I'd prefer not to have to stake out a spot really far in advance and wait.

1. It's fine.
2. Yup.
3. And (if this is the first or only MSEP,) you'd have to do that with all of the
crush guests jamming the Hub area waiting for Celebrate the Magic and Wishes.
4. The FP+ would remove a lot of that.

We used FP+ for MSEP last year with DD4. We liked it well enough to have a spot where DD could see. You really need to be there when the window opens to stake out a spot on the curb where you can see unobstructed and without people crowding in front of you. The area filled quickly the evening we were there. I can't remember how far ahead the window opens but it does save some time compared to how early you have to be there without FP+. I bought some glow sticks and glow jewelry at the dollar store and brought it for DD to keep her entertained until the parade started.

Do you happen to remember when the window opened? 30 min or an hour ahead? If so, we would probably just stick with watching in Frontierland.

It's a 30 minute before parade window (10:30 - 10:50 for an 11:00 MSEP). If you want curbside with the chance of interacting with the walking characters, you should plan on arriving a few minutes early.
