We need to have a calm place after being at the parks... What is the most relaxing moderate???:flower3:

Hi!!
We found the POFQ to be very relaxing. I love to walk down to the water and then over to POR. It is such a quiet place.

My picks....
1- CSR; The grounds never seem too crowded, there are relaxing hammocks in the Cabana's section, and the quiet pools never seem very corowded. The main pool is not usually too crazy either.

2- POR; great quiet pools, especially in the mansion section. The grounds are very relaxing and there are alot of nice walking paths.

3- POFQ; Smaller and cozy, with nice quiet and romantic walking areas in the evening. The food court is usually pretty hectic as is the inner courtyard pool area. no quiet pools.

4- CBR; Nice resort and can be quiet if you are away from the main building and pool.

Does the size of CSR make it a hassle to get around??? Are the pools spread out enough that there is one close to all room areas?? Thanks so much!

POR was the most relaxing we've stayed. . .even above some deluxe.

POFQ by far. I've stayed at all the moderates several times. The most relaxing is French Quarter. It's size makes it very convenient to get to your room and dining options, pools, etc. Furthermore, there seems to be less commotion (children running around, loudness, etc). The other resorts are much larger and louder.

The main pool is between the Ranchos and the Cabanas.

There is a quiet pool in each section -- Casitas, Ranchos and Cabanas.

I've read about the long walks to get around, but my family had no issues with this. The bus stops are well placed so there is no really long walks to one. The quiet pools can be a bit of a walk from some buildings. As far as getting to the main building, unless you are in one of the Ranchos to the rear of the resort, it is not that bad IMO. If you are at the rear Ranchos, you can grab a bus to any location (except DTD I think) and they stop at the main building last, so that would save the walk.

If you really want a quiet pool nearby with not too long of a walk to the main building, the mansions section at POR is a great choice. There are two pools for the 4 mansions. Parterre Place (bldg 95) and Oak Manor (90) are our favorites with a quiet pool between. The walk to the main building is relaxing and not too long, and you can walk over the bridge to POFQ.

we had a corner room in Jamaica at CBR. it was SO quiet. we didn't find the resort to be too spread out either. we would just stroll around at our leisure.

we also like CSR.

Port Orleans - no question!!! :) Everything is a close walk to everything else and the layout is so easy!

POFQ!

The size itself makes it less hectic than the others. The jazz music in the courtyard and fountains.

The boat ride to DTD will make someone in our family fall asleep.

On our my favorite moments at POFQ, was watching our son play on the playground one evening while we sat on the beach and the jazz music in the background. After a crazy day at the park, it was peaceful to just enjoy the moment.

Enjoy!

we loved CSR. It was so peaceful. We enjoyed just simpy walking around the resort. The bus stops, IMO, weren't too far from the buildings and busses came pretty regularly with the exception of the early busses that run for ADR's and such. I didn't think the main pool area was very bad either and we were there in summer.

It is a beautiful resort and we are planning on staying again next year.

Another vote for POFQ. It is SO relaxing there. The cobblestone streets, the sound of the horses walking around, the river, the lighting...I absolutely love it.

Another vote for POR Riverside. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is my favorite- Lots of trees and shade. It's easy to find a quiet corner!

I've stayed at POR,POFQ and CSR and always find myself back at CSR because it is the quietest and most relaxing.:goodvibes

For a relaxing moderate, I don't think you can go wrong at any of them! Each have their own charms. Just avoid rooms near the main theme pools, if possible.

We had an amazing relaxing 10 day vacation at the CBR this past Nov...no one was ever at the village pools and the resort was very quiet

I've stayed at all four moderates and would say POFQ, followed very closely by CSR.

I love POFQ it is small, quiet and relaxing. But I find any resort except the values relaxing. Michelle
