Most Overrated things people rave about at WDW

Festival of the Lion King, and the Finding Nemo stage show. I'm not saying they are bad, but I hear people rave about them all the time and I just find them... average? Maybe slightly better costume/prop quality? I dunno', maybe I've seen too many plays.

Character M&G (don't get standing in line for hours for this)
Dessert parties (fun to do once, but not worth the $$$$)
Finding Nemo show (mostly because they tore down the Tarzan show to build it)

Any of the chocolate or candy covered apples.
Star Wars, it's just not Disney to me.
Frozen, it's everywhere!
Disney buses, we find it easier to drive to the parks.

Beets, bears, Battlestar Galactica.

I love me some Dole Whips and I prefer the Mickey ice cream sandwich to the bar.

I find princesses, pin trading, collecting anything actually, staying on site, turkey legs, mac and cheese, and waiting over an hour for a good parade spot overrated. I'm sure there is more but it is early and I wish I was sleeping.

Oh, Frozen. Please stop with all of the Frozen.

I'll add:

- Toy Story Mania without a FP. There's no way I would wait in line that long for it. Its a max 5 minute wait ride.
- Meeting characters. My daughter loved it, but it takes a lot of time. We'll see characters again when we go, but she wants to see few that we didn't see before.
- 7 Dwarfs Mine Train. I liked it, but l would never ride it without a FP.
- Finding Nemo show. I fell asleep three times during it. It retold the story of the movie, which anyone with kids knows the story ad nauseum. It would be better if they would come up with something new.

MagicBands. They only exist to track you the same way animals are tagged for study in the wild yet people pay extra to collect them and decorate them.
Yes, we're not buying any. If we need more fast passes, it is easier for someone to grab our group's cards & head to the kiosk. I will be sweating enough, don't need the extra foam bracelet on my wrist. :)

Just to be a really overbearing Office fan - the quote is bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica :duck:

CRT was the worst for us. Hugely overpriced, food was not great and it was small and crowded. We had a lot better character meals through the rest of our trip.

To me this thread is like what ruined me and my 2 daughters first trip to Disney World, while I will never tell anyone not to have an opinion because frankly, I will figure what I find enjoyable for myself but sometimes it can sway people if they have never experienced something for themselves. As our trip was on going a few family members that had been to Disney many times would complain about many things like everything on this thread, which made my 2 daughters 9 and 7 at the time, talk about Disney like 2 80 year old women complaining at the hair salon( I am not talking bad about 80 year old women, but having been brought along with my grandma along time ago to the hair salon I have never heard vocabulary come out of old ladies like that before.) and it was a long trip with a lot of complaints like what I've found here and everyone was swayed by what they said without trying it. I found this site and find many of its knowledge helpful as I am currently planning another trip but, I see a thread that would potentially turn off people from trying things they may like, but hey this is just my opinion.

-Turkey Leg ----gross!
-Dole Whip ---I liked the orange swirl way better.
-Fantasmic ---just didnt like at all!

Dole Whip--I just didn't care for it

Disney Springs--am I missing something here? Restaurants and stores are all it seems to offer. I don't get it.

Turkey Legs--I don't find knawing on a huge turkey leg to be appetizing. Yuck

Lol Yes I think that is the point of Disney Springs. Restaurants, shops, and some entertainment. I agree with you about the Dole Whip & Turkey Leg btw! Dole whip is just meh, I liked the orange better. And the turkeyleg is just nasty!

Yes both bold bolded above!!!!!! :teeth:

Downtown Disney, Disney Springs, whatever, it still sucks. And anything Frozen!

Most overrated, my choice would be Neil Patrick Harris as CP narrator. We just saw him this year. We have seen the CP many many times and I don't think he makes my top 5.

Don't care for the parades, any of them. There has not been a good parade since Tapestry of Nations - night time edition.

These comments always confused me. I love a lot of things that aren't very popular, and my love of them never fades because other people complain about them or don't like them. I guess I assumed most people weren't affected that much by what other people like or don't like. If they were, I don't think that Bieber kid would have nearly as many fans lol
