Has the second-hand pixie dust left the room yet? I don't want to risk breathing any.
There was enough in here to kill us all!

Oh my gosh, those two lead-in posts and then the predicted response literally made me snort diet Coke out of my nose. Thanks for the really good laugh!![]()
Yep. I am excited because I'm going to make HS a later day park day. I can get my FP for TSM, go to dinner at Brown Derby and see the Osborne Lights all in one trip instead of going at RD one day for TSM and go back another day so I can see the lights! Frees me up to do something I wouldn't normally have time for.
Count me in as pumped for the new system.![]()
LOL!
~ Yes! great post! I totally agree! thank you for sharing!!! (I would add all the little smilies, but don't know how to do it from the I pad)

I just love the optimism of everyone who believes they will able to get the afternoon/evening times for TSMM.
This is the part I am most interested to see rolled out.
Sure hope I have to eat a big serving of crow on this one. Becuase that will mean we all got what we wanted.
I have a feeling that the above is going to be a milder version of the scramble there used to be for a Le Cellier ADR before it became a signature dinner with a lunch option

OMG! They could totally make that a "Signature FP" and require 2 slots for it! I see it coming now! Someone send my resume to the Disney marketing department. I have this stuff all figured out!![]()

...timing.

You know.....if they wind up doing that....I'm blaming you!
I'll take a break from my meeting with Mr. Iger to come get you on the ride. Boy this got longer than I expected.
Personally, I'm still reserving judgement on FP+ until it finally rolls out and has been in place for a while. But there definitely seem to be a bunch of chicken little in this thread yelling "the sky is falling".
The way I see it, the new system is going to have it's winners and losers and it's I'll admit based on what I've read so far, I'm not sure where I would fall. My most recent trip to WDW started on Dec. 31. I booked my DVC room 11 months out but I didn't get to Epcot until 5pm after flying in. I was able to ride TT right after the fireworks in the single rider line but most of the evening was spent enjoy the experience and doing non-headliners, Captain EO, Journey into Imagination, Nemo etc. With FP+ I possibly could have reserved say Soarin', Maelstrom, or Mission Space before I left home and been able to add another headliner to the evening with minimal wait.
Also, like a previous poster mentioned, I'm normally a park hopper, being able to book FP+ for the second park could be a real advantage.
On another note, people here are talking about FP+ causing fewer fast passes and longer standby lines. I can't see that happening for the population as a whole although it could occur for some individuals. If I use 8 fast passes in a day now and I'm going to be limited to 3 FP+ in the day that's 5 FP+'s that I'm not using that will go to other people. Those people will not be in the standby line (I will be if I want to ride it). So, I have a longer wait, but someone else has a shorter wait. But for the population as a whole the average wait hasn't changed.
The people I think who are going to be the most adversely affected are those who like to ride one ride multiple times, but that's also the spot where Disney can get the biggest benefit. TSMM doesn't have the capacity to give every park guest 1 ride each on a busy day. If you ride 3 times on a busy day, 2 FP and 1 early morning SB, then 2 people get added to the pool of "cant ride" at all. Now as long as the pool of "can't ride" is smaller than the pool of "doesn't want to ride" we don't have a problem. But we see both in Soarin' and TSMM especially the situation where people "in the know" can possibly get 3 rides with minimal waits where others get exorbitant waits or are unable to ride even once.
So the way I see it. FP+ is going to take some, but not all, of the advantage enjoyed by the people in the know and spread it around to the less informed. The totally clueless are most likely going to continue to remain the totally clueless. And the well informed will adapt to take advantage of the new system, but not to the extent the were with the old system.
Not to worry. Just tell them at the gate that you know meI'll take a break from my meeting with Mr. Iger to come get you on the ride.

Can I name drop too?
Isn't that still better than the current option of waiting in line for 90 minutes?
i.e. some people will be better off, and the rest will be as they were (assuming they don't take away the current system features)

even if they are highly limited/hard to get -
