Nice!! Maul Mondays, I like the finale on May the 4th

this was fun to get ready for more Maul. I just watched the last 4 episodes of Clone Wars, but I want to go back and watch the other episodes w Maul, and maybe Rebels too, before this series starts. I hadn't read any of the comics, but found a youtube channel that summed that up.
Can't wait!! just over one week!

Not complaining, but do they usually announce a second season before the first has premièred?

I am guessing a multi season approach series like Bad Batch or Rebels, which makes me very happy, as I would like something to go on for a bit and take their time with the story.... Maul deserves his series.

It’s a mixed bag on when a Star Wars show has a second season greenlit/announced. Mandalorian was before it aired, Bad Batch was after. And then there’s the series that have musings of a second season that never see the light of day.

Man, I spaced on the date and didn't realize Maul was today. I watched them over my lunch - wow! It's really good. The animation is just so beautiful and the cahracters are awesome so far. There is more going on than expected. I can't wait to see more.

No, it's more that I spent all day yesterday thinking it was the 4th and that today was the 5th. Expecting it Tuesday for whatever reason. I turned on D+ at lunch and there it was.

Very much enjoyed the first two, as always I wish they were longer. Animation is beautiful.

So, some observations:

• I am glad there are some heroic characters. I like Lawson - he seems to be a good cop and I like his relationship with Two-Boots.
• I love that Richard Ayoade plays Two-Boots - great casting! I love his voice.
• I really love Eeko-Dio but I am not sold on Devon - which is to say, she probably breaks bad, so that's fine. I sense much anger in her, though, also, she's maybe not that bright.
• Eeko-Dio is just cool - when he stopped that chase...!
• I love seeing just some average living in the Galaxy - Lawson's apartment is so interesting. His son plays some kind of Lacrosse style sport maybe, and clearly his dad stays busy with work. I want to see what kind of "pizza" they've been getting.
• Whenever I see Rook, I just think it's Goth Sabine!
• Is it just me, or is Lawson...spending some time, with the woman who runs the club or casino or something shady? That's actually pretty interesting - there is so much depth here.
• I also like Maul's little flying saucer droid - he's kind of nuts apparently, but takes joy in his work.

my daughter (24) loves Maul's droid, so far it is her fav character.

Interesting. Is there some kind of investing or betting that goes on based on this? I'm wondering who uses these specific numerical predictions.

The studios use it to help them set espectations and guide marketing. If it's tracking soft, they may decide to pump up marketing. It's all used for the business, but because this is done by third parties, they make the information public.

$71M low-end domestic oepning isn't bad for this movie. I hope it trends upward a bit as it gets closer. If reviews are strong, this could be a decent hit.

Don't theaters also use the predictions to decide how to allocate their screens? I noticed just before "Project Hail Mary" opened that my local theater upped it from three to four screens.
