Be CAREFUL LilG!!!! Your back sounds really painful!

Thanks again for all your wisdom (wizzum)

I'm almost the youngest!!!!
Twinks is a *smidge* older than me.
MommyP and Lil L are both younger than me.
I don't think anyone else is younger.
I'm a ripe old 32.
great post, thanks for sharing @@

nice to really meet and know you all........It will be two years since I joined in this group........do you remember the turmoil I caused.......but I kept plugging away......I wanted you guys to know that I was not a bad person.....that was the main thing.......some of the old group didnt want me here or anywheres near you.......I do have a good memory in my old years...ROFL.....but I remember the first pm's I received from some of you......they were welcoming and told me to stay.....a few times I thought I would give up hope of having people like a moderator......but it worked......I am me and I appreciate you all....

Aw Pumba- I am glad you stuck around. I remember being the new kid in the class here too.

Hi Celery Momma! I don't think I had a chance to meet your properly.

Hi Celery's Mom! I haven't introduced myself properly either. I am Twinkie. I am not from South Dakota. Congrats on 10 posts!

I was going to attempt a lexy-like shout out. But no time.....
so HI EVERYBODY!

I think I'm next after you, Wenchy. You're a few months older than me, if memory serves.
Breezy is MANY months older than me.

PS: Steph (Javamom) posted on he pre-trippie that they are safely in a KC hotel for the night and leaving at the crack of early.
That's great to hear. I don't know about the stretch of Kansas she drove through but here in the KC area, our storm of the decade turned out to be one big dud. A lot of wind but no tornados and some hard rain but not for very long and no hail at all.

Here's a pic from last Tuesday night's storm. (Downtown Kansas City, MISSOURI is on the left and Kansas City, KANSAS, is where the petroleum plant fire was on the right.)

Riley is a BOY, mama!
hee.
:scared1: I'm glad she didn't cut the wrong thing.

Me too, but the previous September. :bitelip:

The under 40's are chicks, the over 40's are cougars...:cool2:
Hmmm, not ALL over 40's are. :rolleyes1

...anyone..had any rain lately?
We've gotten rain in KC this past week, Lil' G.

Wendell, cougar, eh? I can live with that.
Interesting. ;)

-- Rob

Monica: Continued prayers and hugs!

LilG: Good to see ya again.

Celery'sMama: Hola.

Ok gang. I'm in a hurry too. My time is limited and I have to run and have fun and merriment, but I will be back later tonight...if you're lucky. hee hee

anyhoo here is a synopsis of bbn family life.

Darrell Griffith: Utah do you know him? He played for the Jazz. I think they even retired his number. Back in the day he played for LooUhVull. Anyway, my dh called all excited b/c he got to meet him today. The dh actually had a poster of him over his bed for many years back in his childhood. It said Dr. Dunkenstein or something. He was SO excited to meet a childhood idol. I wish I could meet one of my childhood idols....Indiana Jones comes to mind. heh

Kung Fu Panda: This is a VERY cute movie. The kids elementary school some how scored a 9:00 a.m. showing as part of their summer enrichment program. Take your kids. You will like it.

Chinese Food: The kids wanted to go to the Chinese restaurant after the show. Makes sense, right? We made a spectacle. My phone went off. You guys know one of my ring tones is the theme from Indiana Jones. It has been for years. Anyway, these two guys came over to the table and said "really cool ringtone". DD almost died from embarrassment. I LOVED that.;)

Wedding: Tomorrow. It's supposed to be sunny, but 95. Oh well. It will still be fun.

Baseball: Next week is tourney week. Already?!?! Time flies.

Basketball: Go Celtics. but this isnt as fun as the Bird/Magic days, is it?

Life here: Busier than heck. Hope you guys are well. TTYL. Have a good one.

Nice picture RobIn. I am glad to hear that Java made it ok. We have found a new modern midwestern pastime. If you dvr the storm coverage you can sit and watch the really cool lightening strikes over and over. ;)

Good to see you Lil G! Also hi to DTD, Bloodhound and all the other guys. Nice to have you here to keep us from sinking into Chick Talk all the time.

Speaking of Chick Talk. I have a date tonight. Yeehaw! What should I wear??????

Other News: In the last day Grasshopper has perfected army crawling. He is now mobile. Now I must increase my vigilence for manna, stray legos and Barbie shoes.

I wish MommyP would post an update! I wonder how Isaac is doing. Has anyone heard from Melinda at all???

Sandy-I know I am so late with this but how I hope you are feeling better! Watching your last baby hit milestones is so bittersweet. Any resolution on the yearbook thing? that is rotten. One year they listed my name wrong.... they put my first name but another girl in the class had the same first name so the put her last name under all of her pictures and all of mine.

Hi babynurse! At least there is no chance of rain :umbrella:

Marita how are you doing with your cigerettes???

The smoking is going as good as always, LOL. I actually only got through 26 of 88 pages, and that was Sunday night, I have to reread it. The author said though he didn't want me to stop right now, so I hang onto that :smokin:

Lil G, good to see you again

BBN, have fun at the wedding  (that's the chicken dance)

Mony, continued hugs and prayers

Well a minor miracle happened today. I actually woke up at 7 am, I don't know why! Same alarm clock settings, and one goes off every day at 7 am, but it doesnt reach my brain.
Anyway, so I got up and took my time reading the paper and left for Disney to meet my team at Epcot. I figured I would intercept them on the way to Soarin', but they were swifter than I thought and were already in line for Soarin', but got fastpasses for later (1 for me too from the Interns ID who was only there for an hour). So I met them at the exit of Soarin'g, and we rode Living with the land (I totally forgot about the first part of that ride, with the rain forest), and then our fast passes were due. So we all did Soarin' again, first row, BABY! :yay: I love that ride. DH said today he never rode it!!
So then it was maybe 10:40, and we walked over to Canada. Decided to watch the movie there. I kept waiting for Toronto (HI NAB !!!!) Looks like a beautiful city. I leaned over to knitfreak and said, my friend Nab lives there! Good movie!

While waiting for the movie, we took some group pics. I might post one if I get them.
Our ADR was for 11:40, but the let us in at 11:30. Out of 8 of us, 7 ordered cheese soup. I figured I would get some too, just for a few spoonfuls. Asst #2 had the spicy sausage and Polenta that Celery liked. For entrees, 7 of 8 ordered the filet and risotto. except for the boss, who got I think the prime rib sammie. I loved the pretzel bread today, I don't think they had that flavor when I was there with Moo and Cel, or maybe they just an off day that day. Anyway, I only had about half of each. At times like this it sucks that I can't eat much. Everyone else cleaned their plates. I think only about 4 had desserts.

After that, the group went back to a resort to play some WII games and supposedly had a lot of fun, but I elected to go home.
Next outing (supposed to be quarterly) we might go to DHS and do Toy Story Mania and something else and go to 50's Prime time.

PSA from Yahoo news:
Hockey fans called a major penalty against the CBC Thursday as the national broadcaster seemed prepared to do away with the Hockey Night in Canada theme - a beloved 40-year-old musical institution as familiar to Canadians as the country’s national anthem.

“CBC won’t get away with that,” said Mary Quigley of Cape Breton, N.S., outside the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. “The Canadian people won’t let them get away with that.”

Websites carrying news of the possible separation of the hockey anthem from Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts quickly got e-mails from people passionate about the theme.

The storms missed us - I hear a cold front is behind this!! 90 deg F is HOT here!!

who has the sand? Pack it up in ziplock bags (are you have a garage sale? Put a dime or quarter a bag to recoup the cost of the bags - or set them out by the trash and put FREE to good home!)

Marita Glad you went Soarin and saw the movie!

BBN hope the weather settles for the wedding!!

Twinkie..

Tonight hubby and I went to Margaritas and had a great supper.....I love the food here.....delicious....

Hi Pumba, yes, I had a bit of the soup. As I said, I could only eat bits and pieces of each. I would have loved to take some of it back home, but I didn't.

Pumba, I remember those early days too! Oh lord, a MOD posting. :scared1: That was scary at the time.
But now you are part of the "herd", LOL!

I am too tired to have a yard sale tomorrow. :lmao:

Think I should have started really early, like when the last one ended. Hubby is getting grumpy too because he had to make room in the garage for all the stuff. Don't know what he is complaining about I have been in the basement all week.

I did get rid of my sand.... Our new neighbour that I never even spoke to yet just build a sand box for his son , so as a welcoming gift I gave them sand.

Twinkie--:yay: for you ....I won't tell.

Marita-- glad you got to see the Canada movie. Much better then what they had before.

Pumba-- I sadly remember too. So glad you stuck around.

Nab, what a kind and thoughtful neigbo(u)r you are :lmao:

DS called Dh this morning. They had more PE excercuises today, running and sprinting or whatever for a long time.
DS said a lot of guys fell by the wayside with leg cramps, and some ended up using a fanny pack( if you know what I mean). he said he made it OK, but his legs hurt, They have another very techncal test next week, where, if they dont get 80%, they get booted out. This is really stressing me.
Nothing I can do about it, though.

Oh,and I thought DS would get some leave after basic trainng, but I guess not. His friend, who started a couple of months before him, was given 5 days to make it to Texas. DS said saomething about his sister going with im to help drive. we shall see. I still have nightmare of him failing some stupid test. Like this next one is about Militarhy speak!

I FINALLY HAVE INTERNET SERVICE!

I've been lurking a little during my lunch hour at work and wanted to say thanks for all the nice shout outs.

Could someone possibly give me the quick and dirty on the last two weeks activities here? TIA.

Just Mimi & me here tonight and we're gonna think of something fun to do.

I'll check back in the morning!

Marita: One day I will be retired and working for disney and having fun like you.

Twinkie: I love you! Giving up a Friday morning for me? It's tempting!
I wish I had my plans made, this has kinda taken the fun out of planning right now, my heart isn't there. Spill the details already? Did you get free dining. June 22 is the cut off.

Sandy: Hearing your words and your messages was so powerful. We were on our way to the apt when I listened to your message. And your story about Zach, I cried.

Thanks Grumpy, DTD, BBN, Nab, Pumba, Rob, Bloodhound, Cel, Cheryl, and EVERYONE for you continued prayers and support.

So, today's apt went like this:

Two more tests before surgery. A complete body bone scan (I scheduled already for Tuesday) and another test with dye to see if he has cancer in the lining of his kidney. If he does, then his kidney, a tube, and some of his bladder will have to be removed. Still a simple, standard proceedure. He needs a surgery physical. And then we can proceed. We are keeping our fingers crossed that all tests are done and results in for the week of the 16th.

The phone rang off of the hook today.

Tim wants me to shut it off.

He wants this to just be done already. He doesn't like the waiting.

Either there are some emotions comming through, or it was the 93 degree day. I think both.

Karmanos is reviewing his Dr. reports and films.

I'm scrapbooking AGAIN tonight!!! But tomorrow is the open house so I have TO FINISH. Will check in tomorow.

WELCOME HOME, LEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still thinking positive thoughts for Tim, Mony
