D23 Lakeshore Lodge Announcements

I know its super early but I decided to start this thread because I was able to score D23 tickets at the Honda Center and Saturday will be where they announce what is coming to Disney Parks!

My seats are pretty close so I will take pictures if allowed and post any updates pertaining to the new LSL or anything that has to do with Disneyland Forward that may be of interest to VDH owners and pretty much anything that has to do with our Vacation Club if anything is announced!

The big day for these announcements is on August 15th 2026!

But for now let's start the convo and ask, "Do you think anything will be announced at D23 for DVC?"

"What type of new DVC hotels do you think are possible or would you like to see?" Im going to say one connected to Villains Land and yes I will be super excited if that happened!

I am going to guess definitely there will be announcements for Disneyland Forward, which may be benefiical to vdh (What can i say, im biased ) and yes to new pictures of LSL. I am 50/50 on whether they announce the sales date or not! And very low chance, but hopefully optimistic that perhaps another resort we dont know about could be announced!

The last expo was when they announced villains land and a bunch of new rides coming to WDW and DL, so now its time for the hotels to get some love!

I am hopeful for a walkable Epcot resort whether it be Crescent Lake or the rumored front of Epcot resort from years ago. Cabins at Fort Wilderness was announced on a random day in April out of the blue so anything could happen, but it will be nice to get updates on all these large projects on both coasts.

In 2024 we got nothing at the parks panel but the DVC booth had a ton of new photos of the Island Tower.

My guess is we'll see some LSL photos or other teaser images at the booth, but not a ton more.

I am hopeful for a walkable Epcot resort whether it be Crescent Lake or the rumored front of Epcot resort from years ago. Cabins at Fort Wilderness was announced on a random day in April out of the blue so anything could happen, but it will be nice to get updates on all these large projects on both coasts.

Me too! i booked my welcome home stay on these dates so I would be sour if I was at vdh and couldnt go Ok I would probably just cancel and make someone else really happy lol

I would be so excited for a walkable epcot resort!! Is there room for something like this? I know people talk about wanting a yacht club conversion and I would love swan and dolphin to be dvc (i know not going to happen) but could there be room for a completely new hotel??

It was my first ever contribution to DVC Fan, so I remember it well, lol.

At that time I was super into NFTs too so I definetely had my booths i was looking out for! I am so glad the big panels are reserved seating now even though we have to pay i much prefer that than camping overnight which I dont think I would do at this age lol! I was surprised how much easier they were to get this year than last and im so happy it is just one day and not three days of wondering if youre going to go or not lol!

Had all my windows open, 4 different devices, 8 windows and one of them there was 14,868 people ahead of me and I knew I hit the jackpot!!! Crazy how popular this event is but I see why, my other windows i was everywhere from 48,000 in line to 88k so I knew those were a bust for the weekend!

This time I didnt purchase the legends panel, I was very disappointed by the lineup, last year was better to me with Miley Cyrus. My main goal was the parks panel in hopes of something DVC related and I am happy to say i got it! That one sold out quick and so did the movie one, which before dvc, is my favorite!

I managed to get a couple 3 day Honda Center tickets but the very last row in the upper 400s. Nosebleeds here I come. I never camped overnight but did have some very early (2am/3am arrivals) some years and am so glad those days are behind me. I may skip the Legends panel depending on other priorities (I hate that it is in the middle of the afternoon!) because I generally love so many of the smaller panels, too.

Now my next decision...do I get a room in Anaheim or not. I live about 15 mins away so have always driven to/from, but I'm tempted to snag a room closer.

The only possible information I think could happen is they decide to announce LsL will be both DVC and hotel, like Reflections.

But, I don’t think we will get any specific DVC info unless it’s opening date will be early 2027.

I think there is plenty of space around Epcot Resorts Boulevard. People have even speculated about the Dance Hall. I can't imagine Disney is done building. Once Riviera is sold out there is nothing outside of the MK resort area on sale.

I am in the 200 section for friday and Saturday which was my preferred because the floor seats are ridiculously expensive and we were in 200s last time and could see everything pretty good!

We decided after purchasing that we just want to buy expo tickets only for Sunday and in true disney fashion there is a glitch and the system isnt letting people that checked out already go in and buy more. Which is pissing me off because we paid for my gold membership and we are entitled to two more and they could sell out. I even asked if we could purchase a new account under my wife and she said yes but it could take up to 48 hours to process. So we are SOL for Sunday unless they fix this glitch!

There are still legends tickets left in the 200s when all other honda center days sold out quick so that tells me that other people arent too thrilled either. Im just upset because I coukd be missing some good panels that day and we want to go. 15 mins away I would drive

I think there is plenty of space around Epcot Resorts Boulevard. People have even speculated about the Dance Hall. I can't imagine Disney is done building. Once Riviera is sold out there is nothing outside of the MK resort area on sale.

Yes they will def wait for that sell out! If I like it then im in trouble, this dvc club is really addictive

Youre going to love it, the 200 section is great and my preference because you can see everything pretty good! I didnt tell my wife anything about it last time of how it is because I wanted her to be surprised and she couldnt believe how many celebrities were there and Disney sneak peeks. It truly is the Comic con for Disney and the Ultimate Disney fan event!

Im really just hoping they announce a disneyland hotel entrance to the park! That would make me go bananas! (And probably the price of our vdh to go up ) I do like tho that right now its fairly easy to snag a room so maybe the less the better
