Mobile ordering time frame

Hi Guys!

We will be there next week, I started messing around with the mobile ordering to get an idea. My only question is, right now it's 6pm. So it's staying arrive: (6:00 - 6:40pm)
So what exactly does that mean, I have to place my order 40 mins out? Or I can arrive now and just wait? How long would I be waiting?

Sorry! I'll be on my own with kids so need a game plan!

If you pick a 6:00 - 6:40 pm timeframe to arrive (note you can pick timeframes several hours in advance since some places are popular - i.e., Woody's Lunch Box). Once you are within your "timeframe" and are near the restaurant, open your app and click the "I'm here now, prepare my food" button. Depending how busy they are, it could take up to 15-20 minutes after you tell them you're there for your food to be ready. Hopefully, this makes sense...

We had mostly positive experiences with mobile ordering in Oct/Nov. I still recommend avoiding the busiest times, noon, etc. and it's good to try and pick you window as soon as you think you might want to eat at a certain time, because they fill up/get pushed out. We tended to eat early lunches, etc. some busy places had LONG lines/crowds waiting for pick up. But we found the process easy enough.

If you know where and approximately when you’re going to want to eat in whatever park you’re going to, you can do your mobile order before you leave your room in the morning, which could be easier with kids (or even solo, like I was in October)

I'd be afraid that if you wait until your hungry to even start mobile order, there may not be a time slot available for pick up for an hour or two Does that ever happen?

I’m sure it does. I’m a really picky eater, so I always know exactly what and where I’m going to eat in eat park, and usually when I’m going to be hungry, so I always just ordered lunch as soon as I woke up in the morning. And if I was hungry on the way back to the hotel, I just ordered while I was on the bus/skyliner back and hit “I’m here” as I was arriving at the resort and the food would be ready to pick up by the time I made it to the food court at Pop.
