Do you guys have any experience with 'mini' laptops? I would like the positive and negative opinions.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I have an ASUS Eee PC. It's tiny, including the keyboard which can make typing difficult sometimes. The screen is obviously small as well, but managable. It also doesn't have a CD drive. But it does have a hard drive and several USB ports. Mine came with Windows including Word Perfect, Excel, and others, as well as preloaded with Skype (it has a built in camera). I think it's a great little computer, very lightweight.
We do have regular computers as well, but this little computer is really good for traveling and such (taking it with you to appointments to use while waiting, etc.). It would fit easily in a medium sized bag or purse.
Hope that helps.
DD9 has a pink Acer--OMG! So cute![]()
I will use it every now and again. I have no complaints. Great for the money![]()

Well, one of the things I'd be using for is to take notes in class, so that's what I looked into the mini ones. But I would also need to use it for all of my schools things (writing papers, doing my math homework, research, etc). Do you think it would be able to do all of these things without getting really slow?

Yes, I have a lot of different software I have to load on to the computer. That's why I'm hesitant to buy on of these things because it just looks like it won't hold much.I think it would be fine for taking notes in class, actually, probably really good for that since it's so small and all.
However, I think you will go crazy trying to write papers and do math homework on it. Additionally, in school, we had to use different software at times for projects, and it would be difficult to load software onto a machine with limited hard drive space, and no CD drive. If that's what you need a computer for, I would recommend getting an inexpensive regular sized laptop.
