Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

Wow! What a great zoo! It's been rainy here for the last two days but it has cooled it down a lot. Creighton and I were going to do the walk for breast cancer awareness today but because it was raining we didn't. I dont want him to get sick. Maybe we'll see you at Pop as your checking in and I'm checking out. :sad1:

I hope you have a great sunday!

Not long now for your trip. Bet you are both getting so excited.:yay: Thankyou for sharing your day out at the zoo. What lovely weather you are still having. Our mini heatwave in the UK lasted about a week. Now it's the usual weather for the time of year. I love the picture of Bella with her high heels and purse. She is so cute.

Awww, I say those can be Bella's 'mingos if she wants! Brooklynn looks like she's having a great time on the bridge and with the animals! What a nice day at the zoo :goodvibes

Bella is just too cute with her hands on her hips. What a little sassafras!

Mingos! How exciting. Maybe there's something we don't know, and all mingo's really do belong to Bella....:rolleyes1

Love all of the furries that the girls got! I admit, I still love little fuzzies. Just can't justify getting them anymore.

Looks like a terrific day at the zoo! My SIL told me that if her brother and I broke up, she was keeping me. Luckily, nearly 25 years later, it isn't an issue.
It is nice that Tanya could spend the day with you.

I have 68 days until our trip, and I want to get out suitcases to rearrange stuff...:rotfl2: I know I have to wait though!

When are you leaving from Birmingham? My mom is flying in Saturday morning to visit my aunt. At some point there might be two Memoms in the same location? (Alright, maybe that seems normal to you, but in PA, no one calls their grandmother Memom except for my girls. When they refer to her in company, it is "my grandmother". :rotfl:

The Nashville Zoo's entrance really reminds of Animal Kingdom's entrance. Cool! It looks like you had a great day there! I also love the Grandparents Day pictures. I bet Brooklynn was sure proud to take you to school MeMom. :goodvibes

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes! It was just a regular old day - work, Brooklynn's dance class, dinner, baths and bed. I hope to get on in a little bit and post pics from the beach.

Happy belated Birthday Jill.

I guess we'll sit out front and let you guys find us, since we'll be recognizable and you won't.

We'll let you find us. We'll look like two old crippled ladies with two little girls. We'll be out by the front gate at 6 so that we can find Rhonda and Sarah and anyone else who is just coming that far.

, I will not recognize any of you, so you will be finding us. You know what we look like, and we won't be disguised. ;)

I am guess that everyone will find you by looking for Brooklynn. Since you don't like pictures of yourself and Kay only has a few on the one trip she went with you, since she either was lost or had to curl her eyelashes. :lmao:

I bet the Emporium was crazy. I saw the crowds on the webcam, and I was glad we changed our dates.

I would like to visit New Orleans for a day, but I'm sure I'd like POFQ better, too. :goodvibes

The crowds that morning were big. I stayed the day because even though it thinned out I was unsure of what else might be going on and didn't want to miss anything. Later in the day I would get a FP, either eat or do another FP ride and then go back and do the first FP ride. FP had retrun times on 30-45 minutes later and standby waits were along those lines too. The longest thing I actually waited for was the Tiki Birds and I had to wait 2 cycles or 24 minutes.

As for New Orleans, I had some time Sat morning to go back out and explore and instead chose to sit in my hotel room and catch up on the Dis. :rolleyes1
Our conference is in Vegas next year and I am not really keen on returning there either. :lmao: I am such a stick in the mud. :lmao:

Sounds like a great weekend with your girls!

Brooklynn is getting so big, I can't believe she is in kindergarten. I started reading your TRs way back at the beginning so I "remember her" as little as Bella! Speaking of Bella, she's too cute, walking with her hands on her hips

I don't know if you saw it on my Facebook, but Chris and I are heading to WDW (90% sure) Jan 31-Feb 4! Is there any little chance that you'll be there then? That's probably a silly question because I'm sure your February break is later in the month but still, I figure I will ask! :goodvibes

Actually, I'll find her by looking for her, and I won't have anything on my face to make me unrecognizable. So both she and Brooklynn should see me coming with our group...
I don't think we will have any trouble spotting each other. It will be the usual gab fest!
I hope Kay has some great looking eyelashes that evening, I'm really looking forward to meeting them, I mean her....

Love the zoo photos...love the mingos!

I am sooo far behind....

:lmao::lmao:

New report is up.
Eat, Run And Celebrate

Great Zoo pictures!!
That clouded leopard looks a bit like Anita's new cat!

How I wish I was going to be in WDW in a week with all of you!!!!

Put me down for about the third weekend in October 2012. We're hoping for a quick 4-5 day trip during the girls' school fall break.

Such a great day with your sweet girls! Bella cracks me up with her hands on her hips. I was going to text you back yesterday and tell you to say hi to the giraffes for me, but I see that you read my mind.

As I said on FB, I don't see a giraffe now without thinking of you. I'm guessing you think of Bella when you see mingos, too!

What a lovely trip to the zoo. I enjoyed the tour this morning, almost felt like I was there.

Bella is just too cute, I love the "meerykats" too, I have always found them to be adorable.

I'm so excited for you that your trip is so close!!!:banana::banana:

We would have loved to have you along. Maybe when you come through Nashville sometime with your little one, as you are on your way to Disney World, we could meet you at the zoo for a couple of hours.

Bella is a cute little mess these days! She tries to say anything anyone else does. She was repeating what Brooklynn was saying in the car one day, and Brooklynn told her to stop doing it. Then Bella repeated Brooklynn telling her not to repeat her, and it came out, "Stop peeting me!" :upsidedow Now it has moved to another level. Brooklynn tells Jill Bella is repeating, and Bella says, "I not peeting you. I peeting Mommy." :rotfl: Basically what she is doing is being a typical younger sibling aggravating the heck out of the older sibling. Brooklynn's personality doesn't just let it go, so she plays right into Bella's hands when she gets upset. Now Jill just tells her to be silent and Bella won't have anything to peet! ;)

What great pictures of your day with your girls.:goodvibes

We can let Bella think that they are her Mingos for a bit longer. That is so cute how she loves those Mingos.

That horse must haved looked mighty huge next to teeny little Bella. I think I would have been a little intimidated also.

Have a wonderful Sunday MeMom. I get to go home today from being in the hospital for a week so I will enjoy my day at home!!

I bet you are so happy to be home! I can't stand being in the hospital even for 2-3 days. Keep us posted on your progress.

Bella is convinced the mingos are hers, so for now, we'll let it stay like that. I knew when she marched off toward the flamingo pond and smacked her chest when she said 'my mingos' that she felt that she had some ownership in them. :cutie:

Love the "this time next week" game! Think we may be heading to AK also on Sunday so we will keep an eye out for you!

Looks like such a fun day at the zoo! Such sweet girls. :rotfl: at the thought of having to tell Bella all mingos aren't hers.

This time next week is 'Mazhik Keendom' day. Without Bella, though, I will not be riding the hoesies six times.

I think we'll let one of her pre-school teachers break the mingo news to her one of these days. ;)

That looks like a great zoo. The little gator in the pool looks like the one they took out of the water at the Flame Tree a couple of weeks ago.

The zoo has made many improvements over the years, and I hope they will keep it up. It used to be a little bit of nothing, but it is getting nicer every year.

YAY for a fun day at the zoo!! Looks like much fun was had by all!! Love the stuffed meerkats...that is too cute! Glad Trent finally paid up LOL!!! The girls as always look completely adorable!!!!!!

Well in just one short week I'll be seeing you! I'm really looking forward to finally meeting you! YAYAYAY!!!

I'm going to enjoy a non-nice day here in TX, it is finally raining!! PTL!!! We need rain so bad!!!!!

I have heard about the need for rain in Texas via a FB friend. he got three inches where he lives and was so happy about it.

See you in a few days!

It looks like you had an amazing day with your girls:goodvibes

Your zoo looks amazing (besides the snakes....ew!). The girls looks so cute with their new stuffed animals.

We had fun. It was a beautiful day to be out walking, and any time I get to spend with my family is special.

I had several more snake pictures, but I spared you snake fearing people of the rest of them. :goodvibes

What a great zoo day!!! I just love a zoo. :) The girls are precious as always!! I love the stuffed animals they chose! Super cute!!

Your trip is SO CLOSE!!! It sounds like it'll be a fabulous time!!

Is that tube thing in the meerkat enclosure? That's pretty neat! We have a small zoo here. There's a zoo keepers program at the local community college, but it's nothing like yours!

It looks like the weather was beautiful! It's been raining here going on two days now, I feel bad for the folks at WDW, but we sure did need it here!

Yes, that is at the meerkat area. I can't stand that tube, though, nor seeing them in it!

I hope the rain clears out by the weekend, but if not, we'll break out the ponchos.

Doreen, I'm so happy you are going home today! I hope that means you are doing much better!!!

MeMom, such a great day at the zoo! It's about time that Trent paid up on the Meerkat! Haha!!!
Please tell him I said that!
Also I'm so happy that Tanya was able to spend time with you all! I know that she misses you and the girls! I know that I do too! I FBed with her yesterday!
See you and Brook real soon!

I told him what you said.
He said, "Like meerkats are just found in abundance around here?!?!?"
He was happy to be paid up, and he was very gracious to the new furry friends who came to the house.

Tanya had a good time, I think.

That zoo looks awesome! Glad you all had a fun time.

I suspect Jill's house may be like ours with 2 little girls - more stuffed animals than we know what to do with! :lmao: I always say I'm going to go through their collection and get rid of some. But when I do, I realize that they play with almost all of them at some point and I let them be. There will come a time that we need to do something as we now have 4 overflowing popup hampers of them and the collection keeps growing.

Yes - many, many animals and characters. So many that some of them have had to come to my house to live.

Let's make that meet happen. We should be there by 11.

I am trying to get packed little by little. Truthfully, I don't think it has really sunk in yet that I am leaving Friday. I'm not feeling giddy, but that because of the stress of school. There was another article in the paper about how much this is threatening teachers' jobs, so it's a little unsettling. I know as the week goes on it will hit me, but I think school will do its best to keep me stressed out until I actually leave the premises Friday afternoon. :sad2:

Awww, I say those can be Bella's 'mingos if she wants! Brooklynn looks like she's having a great time on the bridge and with the animals! What a nice day at the zoo :goodvibes

She got a new mingo purse, and her Bubby put some change in it before she left. She thought she was big stuff! ;)

I justify getting the realistic ones, because I can take them out of my classroom money, which is $200 for the year. :goodvibes Not that it really matters, though, since I've already spent well over $200.

As for the mingos, we'll just let it be like that. They belong to Bella, and nobody should tell her any different. I'm too chicken to do it, I know that! ;)

Looks like a terrific day at the zoo! My SIL told me that if her brother and I broke up, she was keeping me. Luckily, nearly 25 years later, it isn't an issue.
It is nice that Tanya could spend the day with you.

(Alright, maybe that seems normal to you, but in PA, no one calls their grandmother Memom except for my girls. When they refer to her in company, it is "my grandmother". :rotfl:

When my ex left, I got to keep part of his family, too. Actually, we were very close friends before I married into the family, so it was natural. All the cousins we hang out with now really are blood-related to him, but they never see or talk to him. Dawn, Kellye, and I were honorary 'sisters' way back a long time ago, and our kids grew up together. His aunt and uncle helped me out financially several times when I was a single mom raising the kids on my own, and we have a deep affection for them.

I think we fly out around 6 or 7. I'll have to ask Jill what the exact time is. I know it is early, and we have to travel from Huntsville to Birmingham before that. Let me know if the two MeMoms will meet.

The Nashville Zoo's entrance really reminds of Animal Kingdom's entrance. Cool! It looks like you had a great day there! I also love the Grandparents Day pictures. I bet Brooklynn was sure proud to take you to school MeMom. :goodvibes

There are enough Animal Kingdom touches there to make me happy as I walk along. :thumbsup2

Brooklynn seemed to enjoy the day I got to go to her school. As the kids came out and spotted their own people, they smiled and waved. It was very cute. She loved being able to leave early, too. ;)

Happy belated Birthday Jill.

I am guess that everyone will find you by looking for Brooklynn. Since you don't like pictures of yourself and Kay only has a few on the one trip she went with you, since she either was lost or had to curl her eyelashes. :lmao:

Sounds like a great weekend with your girls!

There is no way that I will be there, but I don't know that Jill had finalized either going or not going with the in-laws. She wants to put it off until conditions are ideal moneywise, as in free dining or a great room discount, so I don't know what their dates will be. Our break is the first week in April this school year. I have a room booked, but it is very doubtful that there will be a trip in reality.

Brooklynn was still 4 when kindergarten started, but she turned five a week later. She's going to go to pre-first next year and then on to first the next.

Nothing on your face? Okay, I'll know you then. :thumbsup2

You and Kay can talk eyelashes and eyebrows or whatever. I'm going to try to get into/onto some rides and attractions until we have to leave at 7.

Love the zoo photos...love the mingos!

I am sooo far behind....

It's here for you to get to whenever you want. Hope your busy life has been filled with good busy and not bad busy. :)

Checked in earlier. :goodvibes

I think Jill is planning on going with friends in October, but I don't know that she knows what week. It'll be during Brooklynn's fall break, I would imagine.

FB will be filled with pictures from a bunch of DISers next week, so hopefully you can follow the travels in that way. How about the NYE meet? Can you make that?

Good morning, Memom!! I am at work and will be seeing patients in a few minutes. Ah, a start to another week. I will make it! So glad you are leaving this weekend!! You need the break. I am sorry you are still going through all this mess at work. Jason is going back to work next year and I am pushing for him to try private school. Cooper was in private school this year till the day before school when we had a major disagreement with the principal and he was not very friendly at all. So, we decided it was best to take him out for the year and put him in our local kindergarten until we decide what to do. It is a great school, but I volunteered the other day and I could see how frantic the teaching is now. It seemed like they did not have time to do anything in a thorough way. That scares me some. Also, there was one little girl in Cooper's class that was way behind and his teacher just did not have enough time to help her extra. I hope she gets help after school. It really opened my eyes and I will most likely be putting Cooper back in private school next year when Blake starts Pre-K. The only problem is that I will probably want to go back to the private school he was at this year. The superintendant is wonderful. I may have a meeting with him because there is still concern about the elementary principal and the issues we had this year. We will see. I hope you have a great week! Have fun this weekend and if you remember please add me on the texting list. I love getting your pictures!

That is SO funny about the "peeting"! :rotfl: I am definitely going to think of Bella when I see the mingoes, and meerkats will definitely make me think of Brooklynn.

I'm back and all caught up! It looks like you guys had a wonderful time at the zoo, and brought back some nice new "friends". :goodvibes

Do you by chance know the names of the new friends? I just love hearing Brooklynn's creative ideas.

Your next trip is so close! How exciting!

I am so excited for you!! I hope that you enjoy your special time with Brooklynn!

I cannot believe that this time next week I'll be in Animal Kingdom!!!
