*~Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central!~*

Thank you soooooo much!! :)

I told my family "this year in Orlando we're going to be doing something different". Of course, we've never been there during the month of December, either. Anyway, it sounds like the party will be a memorable and magical place.

just found out today grils trip only my mom hasnt been in over 16 years , so I jumped on line and ordered the chrismas party tickets we are going on 12/5 I have now learned that now there is no parade that time can I cancel my tickets or should I hold on to them.

Oh my. MVMCP is not going on when we there. We get there on 20th. Also we were planning on doing Christmas of 2005 if we didnt do it this year, were going to do it after our cruise. It looks like if its the same as this year, it wont beign going on then either. Am I missing much? If so what am I missing?

Up until the week of Christmas, the parade and some shows are only available at MVMCP. Then Christmas week, they are available during th day.

So as long as you are going to MVMCP, you will see the parade and it runs twice at the party. Usually about 8:30 and 10:15 pm.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone heard on what time we will be able to get in with our MVMCP tickets?

Also in the wake of a storm that cancels much as the activities will we be able to get tickets for another day?

For the last 2 years, they have let people in after 4:00p with just their party tickets. From 6:00 to 7:00 they will make you go to Tomorrowland while they empty out the park.

The tickets are non-refundable BUT last year because one night had torrential rains, they did give some people refunds or something to compensate for the night...also some people exchanged their tickets for another night.

I just purchased tickets for MVMCP for Sunday night 11/30.
My DH and I will be taking the week at WDW (it's DH first time!)
I took out a few 2003 Disney Guide books from the library and one of them has nothing good to say about the party.
I was crestfallen after I had spent the money!
But I really want to hear from those of you who have attended.
Thanks!

We will be there Dec 5-13, so we have many choices of nights to go to the party....anybody have any idea what night might be the least crowded? We have a choice of Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday night. I am assuming Friday would be the most crowded. Anybody been before and have any thoughts or suggestions?

There is NO christmas parade for the 5th? Do you know why not?? That is the day we are going!! I don't like this....

I've read in one of the Disney travel guides that Disney has about 20,000 tickets available for sale for MVMCP, so if they sell out, the park will have 20,000 people there! (are you impressed with my math skills?)

I think those odds are pretty good considering at peak summer times the amount of people can be as high as 93,000!

Looking forward to it!

WoodyBuzz3: We're going to be there Dec. 5-14, so I hope someone answers your post, because I'm trying to figure out what's the best night too!

I'm thinking of booking Sunday the 7th, on a completely made-up theory that park attendance on Sunday night can't be that high--but I don't really know anything at all about it. I also want to book for a bit early in our stay just in case there's a huge rainstorm and possible rescheduling becomes a possibility.

Does anyone know what the price for the event is with an Annual Pass? We don't have our passes yet but will have them by November.

Thanks in advance!

Elissa

It's the same price with or without a pass. :jester:

I've never had a problem. As long as you don't go Christmas week .... We usually always go on a weekend (we live locally) and it's never been sold out or even crowded. In fact, we were there last year when they recorded the Christmas Day parade, which is usually recorded the first weekend in December ... and they had to focus on one area only because there was literally NO ONE there.

My MVMCP Experience:

As far as the rain, Florida doesn't usually get rain in Dec but last year was torrential. Some people were able to get tickets for another night but others did not. They only have a certain number available. You either had to exchange them for a night where tickets were available or they gave out some compensation.

Early entrance, like others have said, they usually let you in after 4 and herd you into Tomorrowland.

And finally, about the crowds...The reason I would suggest Tues or Thurs is because the weekend has a higher turnout due to locals.

It really is a great experience and I haven't missed one in 4 years!
Even if it was just driving up for the night.

Reading all of the posts about the MVMCP has got me so excited and I can hardly wait to go! Thanks for all of the great info.

Hey Mhopset! We are related and I think your counter is wrong if we are going to WDW together!:D
