*~Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central!~*

I already got my tickets for this and we are going on the 4th. The person on the phone literally spent almost an hour with me telling me all the wonderful things that go on there during December and he says that this is not to be missed, he also said that they can never tell which nights are going to be busy and which arent'. I would imagine that the closer to the end of the month the more crowded it will get but that is my guess. We are going to be there from the Dec 1-8th!:bounce:

Ok I have to ask HOW do I get the counter? I know this probably belongs elsewhere but since this is the only fourm that I know of right now I figured I would throw it out there! LOL

Go to Technical Support and you will find it - the instructions walk you through it, and you'll be all set!!

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I did it and it worked thank you, now I can see the days, hours, minutes, seconds ticking by. Thank you for sending me to the right spot to set it up.

I did mine too and I cannot thank you enough, I IM'd dh today and told him exactly how long until out trip and he was like " HOW did you know THAT!" LOL GReat fun thanks!

HurricaneWarning...well it's an amazing site that's for sure! What the snow is,is a soapy foam being blown from the rooftops along Main Street. It seems there is some sort of cold air being blown onto the street too because it does feel cooler in that area.

As you're walking ,and on the video we have of it it REALLY looks like real snow! WARNING: I don't think trying to catch any on your tongue would be a real good idea!!! :p ;) LOL!

Last time we were in WDW at Christmas time was 3 years ago. They had snow on the NY Street and the Osbourne lights area too at MGM.Word is no Osbourne lights this year due to construction of a new show in that area.:( OL will return for 2004 in a different area of MGM is what I've heard.

I read that and I really hope they are wrong. Does the snow come down during the whole party Baloo on Main Street or only for the parade?

I really wanted to see those OL because I have no idea when we are going to be getting back there? :(

It was coming down when we came in for the party.I think they stop it for a bit but I'm pretty sure it snows at least once every hour.

This will be our first time going in Dec. and I can't tell you how excited I am!! I just booked tics for Dec. 16th.

I have two questions...if you are in the park and they close it at 5 to reopen at 7...what do you do about dinner? Can you book a ps inside the park during that time...or do most people just go have dinner elsewhere then return?

Also does anyone know what rides are open during the Party?

Thanks so much!!!!

Sally

Can anyone tell me why it stops on the 19th? Thats the day we are suppose to LEAVE for the VWL!!

My son & I have went twice. The first time we missed out on so much - hot chocolate, free photos, story time. But our second time was unbelievable. MK closed at 5 so we did a 5:45 PS for the Crystal Palace. We knew it was going to be a long night, so we returned to the ASMo's for an afternoon nap. We returned to the MK at 5:30 that night to be let right in. It was magical! It seemed as if we were the only two people in the Kingdom. Perfect pictures of the castle. When we finished our meals we walked right out to the MVMCP. The snow did not seem to fall all night, only a couple times. The family photos were great and we received them only 2 weeks after returning home.

Coastie...that's because that Friday is when WDW starts it's extended Holiday hours.Parks staying open as late as midnight some nights.

JOELLE...when you enter the party they have brochures with all the times listed. The parade is held twice each night. Some of the show 3 times others up to 5...I'm sorry I don't have exact times right now! :)

Sally Bradley....Here's a list of what has been OPEN in the past during MVMCP.

Pirates of the Caribbean
Jungle Cruise
Big Thunder
Country Bears
Shootin Arcade
Splash Mt
Haunted Mansion
Riverboat
Carrousel
Dumbo
Small World
Mad Tea Party
Peter Pan
Snow White
Pooh ride
Astro Oribitor
Tomorrowland Speedway
Space Mt
Tomorrowland arcade
Buzz Lightyear
Alien Encounter

We have tickets for the 19th and want to eat in the park before the fun starts. Heres the problem, my family has ap's but my inlaws who will be with us do not. What do you think the odds are that we can all get in at 5:30 for dinner without my inlaws having to purchase a single day pass?

It would be quite embarrasing to have to leave at 5:30 if we weren't all let in, plus we would have to scramble for dinner.

Any thoughts o' wise and wonderful board members?

Mark

MarkMichaels...
DH and I have a PS for 5:05pm and only tickets to MVMCP on 11/30, not day passes. From the information on the boards and the info that was in with my tickets, the party tickets will get you in for your PS dinner and to the party. No other tickets are required.

Hope this helps!

not awake yet, but still on the boards

Does anyone have a definite answer on if there is a parade on December the 5th? We'll be at MK during the day, and I wonder if it's worth getting tickets to the MVMCP without the parade/parades? Seems kinda 'spensive, but hey, that's Disney, right?

Yes, I'd like to know too! We've planned our whole trip around the MVMCP, and we LOVE the parade. I ordered the tickets the first day they were available. No one mentioned that there would be no parade that day. I wonder who heard this, and where they heard it from. I'm going to be VERY upset if this is true!!!!! I know there are lots of other things to do at MVMCP, but the parade just makes it extra special for us.

My only thought is that they may be taping the Chritsmas Day Parade the next night, could that be a reason????

Please, someone in the know, let us know!!!!
