We will probably get tickets for the MVMCP on the 6th.

Here is the biggest question for everyone right now...how do very young kids handle staying up so late? Any tips on helping them enjoy the show?

Otherwise...just overjoyed to be thinking about MVMCP....

It looks like we too will be there during Pop Warner week :)

I was wondering does this have any effect on the crowds during the week nights of the MVMCP? I figure if the competitions are during the day the nights of MVMCP might be more crowded? Anyone who went last year during this time notice this?

Thanks for all the wonderful info in this thread!

I don't know why I can't read straight today.

So there is an advance ticket discount, right? And there is an AP discount new this year, right? But we don't know if the AP discount is on top of the early purchase price? And - is there a DVC discount (that is any different from the AP discount)?

We were down for a couple of days before Christmas two years ago - but after MVMCP - so this will be a first for us! I'm excited to have something new to look forward to! (Besides Soarin', Stunt Cars, new IASW, etc.... :teeth: ) I think we'll hit the party on the 18th.

Oh, and, um, Katiesmommy I think was the name? My two brothers live near you - one is in Granger and the other in Osceola. Hi! Welcome to the DIS! :wave2:

There is an advance purchase price (with $3 shipping unless you do will call) and there is a gate price.

The NEW AP discount is for gate price only that is for certain. What isn't for certain is if you really have to wait and buy at the gate OR can you buy them over the phone in advance and just get the discount on the GATE price.

There is NO DVC discount.

Thank you!! It is much more clear now!

WaaHoo!!! WaaHoo!!!

Having been away from the DISboards for a while I just found this thread and it made my day!!! I can hardly wait for our first trip home to SSRS during the holidays no less!! It looks like there are 2 MVMCP dates for me...oh, I mean us if I let DH and DS have a say in the matter...December 18 and 20. I was thinking about the 20th until I read the posts here...but the 18th will be either the first full day or our day of arrival at WDW, so I'm still not sure. I guess I've got a few weeks to think about it since tickets don't go on sale until the estimated month of May...

Again, thanks to whomever started the thread and for all of the DISsers who know all and share all that is Disney for the great information! I can always use the help...this will be our first Christmas in the world...we did Thanksgiving in 2003 which was fantastic!

Hurray! We went to MVMCP in Dec. 2003 and are returning this year once again. It was the highlight of our trip two years ago when our girls were 4 and 8. They BOTH stayed up. We had NO lines, enjoyed the parade while sipping on hot cocoa and munching cookies, had dinner at LTT, great shows! The best part was the snow on Main Street! Truly magical start to our Christmas celebration! I can't wait to be there again!!!

We are doing land/sea Dec 3-11, DS (turning 8 on trip) and DD (4). I was wondering if it would be "worth it" or if they will be to tired. I was thinking we could go Tues. Dec 6th after being at MGM. Then head back to MK the 7th., We will also be spending Dec 5th at MK. Or we could go the 4th after AK? What does anybody think? I hate to spend the extra $ if they are going to want to leave at 8pm because they are tired? We have 4 day park hoppers. Thanks, Tricia

Personally, I wouldn't attend after spending a full day at a park with a 4yo. If you start late that day, or take a rest break in the middle of the day, that would probably work better. But to try to go from 9:00 a.m. to midnight nonstop might be asking a lot from someone so young.

We're hoping (hoping!) to be there Nov. 28-Dec. 2.
I would LOVE to hit the party on the 29th.
Hmmm. Got to talk dh into it. Maybe if we all gang up on him. :grouphug:

Really looking forward to the holiday decorations! :)
Sounds like several people here are going to be there at the same time.

Hope to see you there!

Maybe we could plan a meet then in conjunction with MVMCP. Haven't some DISers gotten together for dinner at CP beforehand? Maybe that would help convince your DH-or is he one of those whose response would be, "You mean I have to go sit with all those Disney Nuts?"

Good to see this thread started! It's about time!! :cool1:

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but as 2005 dates have not been officially announced, it seems possible to me that there might not be one on Tue Dec 20....

Oh, you've met my dh? LOL
Just kidding. Hmmm, I can't say as that would convince him, as he is kind of shy. But if we "accidentally" ran into some dis'ers, that would be good, right? ;)

Oh, and Katiesmommy, I am a Katiesmommy too! Mine will be 2 on the 28th of this month.
We live about 40 minutes north of Middlebury in Michigan. I don't get to Mishawaka (sp?) much, but I have been there! :)

I wonder if anyone has the schedule of events from last year with the times? I am sure that the times won't change that much for this year.

I remember you guys when we travelled to WDW in Nov of 2003.

When are you planning to go again? We are travelling 11/22-11/28.

If you scroll to the bottom of this page, you'll probably see some related threads - including one posted by Ray Sharpton about the 2004 MVMCP schedule, etc. Click on that one and you'll get a lot of information.

Hey, you have a good memory! We're going November 25 through December 2 and I'll be at MVMCP November 29 (my birthday!!)

I try to alternate MVMCP and MNSSHP but really wish I could do both every year!

So, I could get a PS for LTT and eat over the hour (6-7) before the party begins. When can you make this PS? Is it 90 days out, or is it on a different time table?

Yes, you can. You can make PS at LTT when tickets for MVMCP go on sale (as long as they offer it agan this year; you never know). All other restaurants will be at 90 days.
