Disney Believe —> Galveston?

I wonder if it could be based in New York and do the coast up to Prince Edward Island? I know DCL used to go to Charlotte town in Prince Edward island.

A survey I did recently for DCL had Charlotte town as an option as a port you would like to visit.

I think it is already announced that the Dream is taking over for the Wish in PC.

temporarily yes; but I would be shocked if there isn’t a Wish class ship doing those 3/4 nights out of PC after the Europe season is over. Those 3/4 night cruises out of PC are Disney’s bread and butter and in all likelihood the most profitable ship in the fleet.

My guess is the Believe goes to PC to do these when it launches and the Wish goes to Galveston

There is no way on earth they are basing a brand new ship in New York.

I would love NY. Baltimore would be even more awesome for us but don’t see that. I still don’t know how they have enough pax year around in Florida on all the ships with similar itineraries.

Such a same as would be an awesome itinerary. I have been to New York and Boston a number of times but would love to visit again with my family. Novia Scotia/Prince Edward Island has been on my list to visit for a number of years.

I would book this trip in a heartbeat if it was to be on offer from DCL. I wouldn't even care which ship it was.

Part of the issue for us (me, wife and girls 15/17) is Disney only brings the small ships year after year during the same time of year to Galveston. If you live in Florida you have multiple choices for ship types year round. I feel only bringing the Magic and Wonder drives down the volume and interest when they come to Galveston. We have been on the Wonder and Magic out of Galveston 5x in the last 14 years, but are not so interested in those ships anymore. We also live in the Houston area and our next two cruises are on the Dream and Destiny in 2026, not the Magic out of Galveston.
I live in Florida and I’d trade all three wish class ships for the Magic. You can have em.

NYC requires ships to hook up to shore power, this along with high port fees make it an unattractive base.

I booked the Magic for next year from Galveston because it hit right during spring break. It's equal time for me to get there or Florida but if I go to Florida I'll want to go to the parks, which was not in the plan for next year. I'm excited about it since we had to cancel a Magic cruise in 2020, and our daughter loves Rapunzel.

I do wish they had better/longer sailings to pick from, but that's all of the older ships.
