Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2005

Sorry, but what is the regular Disney number? Do you mean the same number you call to make resort reservations.

Oh, you've met my dh? LOL
Just kidding. Hmmm, I can't say as that would convince him, as he is kind of shy. But if we "accidentally" ran into some dis'ers, that would be good, right? ;)

Oh, and Katiesmommy, I am a Katiesmommy too! Mine will be 2 on the 28th of this month.
We live about 40 minutes north of Middlebury in Michigan. I don't get to Mishawaka (sp?) much, but I have been there! :)

My Katie will be one on April 14th! I have a feeling the are a ALOT of "Katiesmommies" out there--actually mine is a Kathryn but I called her Katie before she was born and it has stuck! DH calls her Tinkerbelle- she answers to both lol.

Have the dates for MVMCP, listed by the OP been confirmed. We are arriving in WDW on 12/17 and we thought we would not be able to attend, based on last years dates.

Last year the final night was 12/17 which was two Fridays prior to Christmas or about 8 days. This year the dates go right up to 5 days prior to Christmas.

They have not been officially released by Disney yet. The DIS says that their source for the dates is very reliable. I'm hoping that the 18th & 20th are included this year, otherwise, we won't be able to attend.

Yup, Katherine here too! But been Kate/Katie since day one.
She made her first trip to WDW at 10 months, and I am anxious to see how she likes it at 2.5 yo. She LOVED It's a Sm. World. :)

I should change my screenname to Alliesdaddy! :teeth:

We finally had our first last year, and she'll be 16 months when we make our trip in Dec. Any tips for first-time parents taking their infant/toddler to WDW for the very first time at Christmas? :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

wasabi girl,
I've heard recommendations to stay in the park after it closes to the general public and eat dinner there so as to get a jump on the crowds and see what it's like to be in the park with very few people. That's what I'm planning on doing. I guess a main street restaurant would be a good bet so you're where the action is when the party gets started (if that's what you want). There's a ton of info on restaurants out there so check 'em out to help decide which one is best for you.

Okay I read all of the posts in this thread, and I still have some questions. This will be our first trip during Christmas. First, does it snow on Main Street during the entire party or just at 7:00? Also, do they have the special Christmas parade on Christmas day too or just during the party? Where do they take the family pictures and would it be possible to get in line before 7:00 to get it taken? Thanks for all the info!!! I can't believe I get to be in Disney World for Christmas!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cool1: Could it get any better???

Hi
We were there last December last year and it did snow throughout the party. The parade that is on twice a night at MVMCP is also the parade that is on Christmas Day. We had our family photo in a room near the toilets that are just pass the Swiss Family Robinson Tree house (sorry can't be more specific). The queue was massive so be prepared to wait at least 20 mins. The CM's do let you know how long the wait is though. We got there about 15 ins after opening and it was sooooooooo busy. On the Friday though as we were leaving the MK after a day there people were already arriving at 6.15pm ish to get in. If you are happy to wait then I would probably do that.
Have a great time.

When we went to the Halloween party last year, we ate at Liberty Tree Tavern at 4:30, then went to Tomorrowland with a lot of other people. We got in the line for pictures probably around 6 pm, and there was already a line then. It moved pretty quickly though. The photo spot was across from the new Stitch ride, not sure what the building is called, but there was a big sign.

Hi Steph
We are looking to book for MNSSHP for October this year. Can I ask did you have to make a PS for Liberty Tree Tavern and were you in the park before the show started. If so do you have to go somewhere to show your ticket so that CM's know you are able to stay in the park. Also can you remeber how long the parks stay open until in October.
Apologies for hi-jacking the MVMCP thread to ask but I have posted some tips in defence.

If you enter the park 4:00p or later, you will get your wristbands for the party at the gate and you'd give them your MNSSHP tickets. If you enter MK before 4:00p and are in the park for the night, you'll get your wristbands in the park from a CM. They'll be scattered all over MK with wristbands and you give them your tickets.

You LTT dinner can be booked from 4:00p throughout the party. You can book it when you purchase your tickets over the phone. Other restaurants will take PS at 90 days up until 6:00p. No shows start till after 7:00p.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me when the tickets usually go on sale?
And are you able to purchase them online?

THank YOu :earsboy: :earsgirl:

They've been going on sale earlier and earlier each year...they used to go on sale in the Summer months but last year was the earliest; May 1st they went on sale.

So probably sometime around May 1.

Yes, you can buy them online. Last year they were available online a few weeks after they went on sale over the phone.

I"m so excited to see this. We went in 2003 to the party and are going back this dec. We'll be down there Dec 13-23 but I think we've decided to go on the 15th to the party. I can't wait.

We are not going till Dec 2006, but love to read all your excitement :jumping1: We went last year on a Tuesday it was a great night to go, not to crowded, but Thursday was :earseek: Try to go early in the week if at all possible. I wish I was going with all of you

Uk! :Pinkbounc

WHY did I ever start looking at these boards! We aren't going until Christmas, and I think the excitement is going to drive me crazy this summer! I am so excited!

Now...I knew nothing about this Christmas party! Wow! It sounds like so much fun! Maybe my mother (who has gone for the last couple of years...we are going on a mother/daughter trip) knows about it and is on top of it already). I am going to send her this link though!

We normally go during this time (after Thanksgiving, before Christmas). We are actually going from the 18th-23rd (I think...I need to speak with my mother to figure it out for sure. I think now I want to stay longer! lol).

So...it looks like ...if they don't have the party on the 20th I don't have much of a choice but to go on the last day...that is if we get there on time on the 18th (I'm not exactly sure when our tickets will start...we should be there by the morning of the 18th...but it depends).

I am super excited and THIS thread isn't helping! :)

I hope this party runs through the 20th, so we aren't stuck on the busiest day!
