Mickey M&G FPs - how do they work?

I have a 9:30 CRT ressie

We do plan on being there for rope drop. My current thinking is to soak in Main St., grab a FP for Peter Pan, enjoy breakfast, head to FL after and send a runner to SM for FPs there (assuming our FP window is open by then).

Do you think it is possible to grab a FP for the Mickey M&G and also get one for PP before 9:30? I am unfamiliar with the M&G FPS...and how soon you can get another FP when you hold one of those.

And even if I can get one, are they accepted late like other regular FPs?

Opinions anyone?

The 9:30 time really messes me up. But it's all I could get.

I think that is an AWESOME plan, among the finest I have ever seen here on the DIS. You should write for TGM or something. And, I might add, you are one excellent poster and very good looking as well. Have a magical trip! :wizard:

LOL! One of the better posts I've seen in a while! :rotfl2: And I've been hanging out on that "using fastpasses late" thread. There's been a lot of good material there!

I was going to post, but don't recall the latest report from the field about how the M&G fp's are tied into the system. Hopefully someone will reply soon. If not put something about using fastpasses late in your title and I'm sure they will! :rotfl:

What I was going to say was that if I were you I'd TRY to see if you can get into the park with the early breakfast people. If they check times they might not let you, but most of the time I have never had them check. Of course, after that initial rush of people, maybe they do. We are usually headed in at 8. But IF you could get in, you could get some nice photos on an empty Main Street prior to the rush of people coming in for rope drop.

And I'd keep checking to see if you could get an earlier CRT time. Because it's prepaid, people DO cancel last minute.

So here's what I'd do if neither of the above suggestions work:

1) If the M&G fp's aren't tied in, I'd grab one on your way in.

2) If they are tied in, I'd pass on that, then take a quick twirl on Dumbo, grab a PP fastpass then head for your magical breakfast.

Have a great time! princess:

I think, but I am not certain, that the M&G fastpasses are tied in to the system. So picking up one of those could really mess you up.

Does anybody know how the Mickey M&G Fastpasses work?

1. Are they linked in to the overall FP system? I think that is a yes.

2. Assuming it is a yes - is the "time to get another FP" window the same as the others...i.e. minimum 40 mins or so, maximum 2 hours, or is it different?

3. Are they accepting late FPs at the Mickey M&G or are they enforcing the window?

I am trying to figure out if I can get a FP for Mickay at say 9:01, have a return time of 9:30, and grab another one for a different attraction at 9:30 and then use them both later.

Thanks!

The time delay after getting the Mickey fastpass and before your ability to get the Peter fastpass can be less than the rule (use it or wait 2 hours) but can be modified without notice.

If the time delay to get another fastpass is reduced (possibly to as little as 5 minutes) for Mickey only, then it does not matter in which order you get the two fastpasses even though one (Peter) may show the full 2 hour delay.

There is no easy way to find out (ascertain) in advance whether the time delay is reduced but you might be able to make an educated guess by looking over other people's shoulders at Mickey fastpasses as they come out of the machine.
