I'm so excited that everyone likes the dresses and shoes! Thank you all for the compliments. Like I said, not what I was planning but I totally love them. Now I just need to figure out what to do with flowers and centerpieces and whatnot b/c I was planning pink and purple

The dresses are very pretty and I love the shoes and purses to compliment them! VERY NICE! Happy one Year!!!!!Keep us posted.....

Update on the booking process... Mike gave Kristi (our WC) a call and she's out of the office today he left a message so hopefully she'll give us a call back asap!

We heard back from Kristi shortly after I posted yesterday. She emailed booking and would email us when she hears back from them. apparently everything is done by email? i had no idea. i thought they send you a planning pack.... hmmm.

Also, I think I've made another decision. Seeing as our reception ends at 3pm, we are planning on taking some pics afterwards then heading to a park to continue having a fabulous time. Well, I know I can't wear my wedding dress to a park so I was thinking of getting the cute floral print dress that matches my bm dresses. That way I still match the girls yet am still different! Then rather than going back to put my dress back on for the dessert party, we will just all be in our 'after reception' clothes... what do you think?

oh, and i got so excited when i noticed my ticker is under 1 year!!! LOL

Wow - that is a great idea. Do they have a matching sash. Maybe you could some sort of white dress and wear the matching sash and shoes.

I was told something similar when I asked when I would know about our date... I was told the request is put in at the year mark and I would know after that. good luck

Ok, it's official. I'm the most IMPATIENT bride ever! We still haven't heard back from our WC about being 'held'. I know it's only been 3 days but I'm just curious how long it took everyone else to hear back from their consultants? I know I may not have the letter of agreement for another week or so. Should I check up on Friday if I don't hear anything before then? I just want to make sure we get our locations we requested. As of Monday (which was a day after our 1year mark), the locations all looked good to go!

I would! I heard at 10am the morning of October 14th (12 was Sunday, and 13th was Columbus Day). Def. give them a call!!

So far so good on the booking process! We are just waiting on room block info at this point.

How long after you submit everything does it take to get your contract? Do both the bride and groom need to sign the contract? I'm a little nervous b/c Mike will be in Germany for 2 weeks in May.

Also, I'm trying to figure out rough estimates for how many nights I will need to block out. I'm pretty sure that most of the guests (besides my dad and sisters) on my side will not attend so I'm not blocking rooms for most of them. However, with Mike's side it's still up in the air for several people. They want to come but arent' sure if they'll be able to. Should I assume they are and block rooms or assume low and not block rooms. I know I can always add rooms on but seriously, is it difficult to get the additional rooms? I'm concerned.

Soooooooo, I have a slightly random question. Does anybody know how many stops are between the Contemporary and the GF? I will be staying at the Contemporary with my dad the night before the wedding. The bridesmaids will then meet me at the Contemporary the morning of the wedding to get ready. Instead of hiring a limo I figured we could all take the monorail over to the GF for pics. When I was telling my dad my plan, his response was, "isn't the Contemporary the stop AFTER the GF? So we'd have to ride through all the stops?" I didn't think of that! How long do you think that would take?

From the CR, the monorail goes to the TTC, then to the Poly, then to the GF. After the GF, it's the MK and then the CR again.

I hope that helps! I don't think it's very long between any of the stops.

In order to go from the CR to the GF on the monorail the OLP Transporation Wizard (http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/asp/twiz.aspx) states that it will take 14 minutes. Not too bad!

I can't believe I forgot to post a pic of the bracelet I bought for my bms. I might take the ribbon off...I haven't decided! I'd like to get them each a matching necklace and earrings but do you think it would be too much (look wise) maybe no necklace and a hair clip instead... hmmm. what do you think?
