New McKim's Mile House and ImaginAtrium Member Lounge >> NOW OPEN! 3/18/25 <<

International visitors (like me) actually won't be able to enter the lounge. To be called back you need to give an US mobile number or wait around, which is not reasonable to do for 3 hours. And remember, international visitors cannot buy MMB. The only option is to buy a local SIM for the stay, which is an additional expense.

Couldn't you use google voice? Make a Google account while in Florida and get a google voice number, and then provide that number to the cast member? Likewise when checking in for table service dining they ask for a phone number.

Is there a reason why someone would willingly wait to get into the lounge? It just doesn't sound like it's worth the wait. I visited the one in DL once, because it was new and I wanted to see it. I've never had a reason to return. Is it that hard to get out of the weather at Magic Kingdom Park? Are cheap junk chips and a soda worth waiting for? Is there nowhere else to sit in that park?
My limits for waiting to get into the lounges is about 20 minutes. If I'm told it's 35-50 minutes, I usually just pass. BUT - wanting to at least see the new MK lounge at least once, I'm willing to take a longer wait time - I might actually prefer hearing that it's 1 or 2 hours - then I could 'check in', get the wait time, and then head off to hit a ride or some stores or just walk around and enjoy for a bit, circling back when I'm close to my wait window. I don't mind sitting around 20 minutes or so to get in. As long as the wait time they give you is solid enough to rely on, where you don't have to stay there waiting on site, it's fine for me.

After checking off this lounge and getting to see it, it will become like the Epcot lounge - I'll go back and use it if the wait times are 20 minutes or less, and skip it if any longer.

I'll decide how tolerable it is in about 10 days, when I'm next in MK.

Got back from my trip yesterday...update on the DVC lounges. Stopped by the MK lounge on Saturday around 3pm. There was a line of about 20 people trying to check in. The MMB people were being quoted around 10 minutes, while those without were told 45 min to 1 hr. I don't have MMB, but decided to put my name in, then go wander. I ended up walking over to Haunted Mansion which had a 30 minute standby time listed - which ended up being only 20 - rode the ride, then wandered back towards McKim's. I ended up getting in after about 1 hr 10 minutes, but I only spent about 10 of those minutes waiting around out front. I won't bother with those kind of wait times in the future, but I was willing to this time just to get in and check out the lounge. I liked the darkness - with it being in the mid-90s and super-bright outside, it was a nice break.

Went to the Epcot ECV lounge on Sunday at around 1:30pm. No wait at all even without MMB - I was immediately admitted. Lounge was maybe 60% full. Doritos, Cheese-its, Graham crackers were the snack choices.

Later that day I had reservations coming up for Via Napoli and about an hour to spare, so I went to the Passholder Lounge in Morocco again (went last year). Wish they'd add more drink selections than just water and mint tea, but they did at least have some snacks this time (when I went last year, they didn't have any)...pita chips and dried fruit. I liked the pita chips with garlic, cheese, and herbs.

Also went to the DVC lounge in Disney Springs Friday as I had just checked into my villa at Saratoga and wasn't doing a park that day - I got right in at 5:10pm, no wait...then wandered around Springs, ate at House of Blues, and walked back to Saratoga after.

The Magic Kingdom lounge will pretty much always have a wait unless you "rope drop" it. Only 60 seats in the world's busiest theme park. Obviously better than nothing but a bigger space would have been welcome.

Epcot's are a bit farther away - around the opposite side of the Journey pavilion. The MK ones are quite close, just around the corner in the tunnel. I saw plenty of people leave to use the restrooms and return to the lounge without waiting in line again - I assume if you inform staff you need to use the restroom they can watch for your return.

Plenty of options for a US phone number for $0, $0 charges, and 0 requirement to have a payment on file.

My suggestion would be Google Voice but there are others as well if you want to avoid Google for personal reasons.
voice.google.com

Some might even allow you to set up the number while outside the US but I have never tested. You can setup a Google Voice number though in like 60 seconds.

Google Voice is not supported in my country. Thanks anyway.

It doesn't need to be in your country. Google is not having you submit your ID or anything to use the service you simply sign up for a temporary gmail account for when in the US, get the #, and then simply use it when in MK.

There are other options: TextNow, TextFree, TextPlus, Calilio

There are even shared text lines numbers you can use and they just post all text messages online. Not sure what the waitlist text is but if its simply that its ready with no other info about you then you could even use one of those.

For many apps it isn't which country you're in, it's the country your device is registered to. I've just tried to download TextNow and TextFree and both advise 'Cannot Connect To iTunes Store', which is the standard message if you're trying to download a US only app on a UK phone. We can't get to the point of signing up without buying a US mobile! VPN and changing location doesn't get around this either.

I believe there is a way to 'permanently' register your device to another country but it can't be changed more than once a year. (I was overseas for 3 months over winter and didn't get all of the details as I wouldn't have been able to change it back when I returned home.)

ITunes says it all that's a Apple issue. Major reason I went away from Apple a long time ago lots of workarounds on Android.

Google Voice you can use without an app just go to the website. Not sure about which others are easy to just use a web browser or spoof your location or just sign up when here.

Tons of options and the basic amount of research will give you options. No different than when I travel out of the country I make sure I have access to things I need.

Got on the waitlist the other day and was told there were 65 families ahead of us. finally got called about 4 hrs later, but the 10 min return time is just not reasonable when you're at the other end of the park, in line for a ride, or on a ride. It would be nice if there was an update text when you are close to being called.

They should give an estimated wait in the text like restaurants do, along with regular updates. I guess they never needed that in the past because at the Epcot and Springs lounges waits are usually 10 minutes or less.
