Oh, and I was a bad bride and emailed out the newsletter a few days before the wedding. Then, I included it in the welcome bags. I knew they had the info, but I just wanted it in one place.

Purple is a beautiful color to use, you can accent it with so many other colors, pinks blues, browns... you name it... ANd that picture of the bridesmaids by heidi is wonderful! Minnie looks like the MOH!

Heidi ~ Thanks for posting some of your pictures! Your BMs looked beautiful. That dress and color looks great on all of them! Also, I love your bouquet. I know the roses but what are the other flowers in it? They all compliment each other nicely!

I agree Minnie does look like a bridesmaid!

Thanks! They had different hair and skin, but I think it complimented them all.

Their bouquets were (off my BEO):

light pink garden roses (I think those are the ones that sort of look like peonies. Rose told me peonies weren't in season and suggested these instead!)
champagne, blush, light lavender and light peach normal roses
light pink cymbidium orchids

My bouquet had less color in it. I had white cymbidium orchids (instead of light pink), gardenias, white garden roses and then the same normal roses.

I'm trying to think of things I can take care of/purchase now, so I don't have to worry about these things later. What else can I do now?

I would start making a list of "must-have" photos for your photographer. This somehow fell through the cracks for me, and I regret it. I still have great pictures, but it would have taken so little time, and the Roots even requested it!!

Plus, you can scour the boards and put together a digital "list" of poses and shots you like or want recreated.

I have already bought the favors/placecard holder, the cake topper, the cake cutting set, and MY DRESS!!

This is the favor/placecard holder. I'm also doing welcome bags so I'll have more wedding stuff in them for the guests! I just thought these were cute!

This is our cake topper! I love it!

I don't have any pics of my cake cutting set b/c it's kind of plain. It's just a Stainless Steel set with plain white handles!

So we went to the mall last night looking for a bday gift for my gma and left with our wedding bands... well, kind of left with our wedding bands. We had to special order mine, b/c any regular band would not fit/look right with my e-ring due to the crossing of the rose and white gold bands... here's a very poor pic of my e-ring

My band will be rose gold and will fit right up against the bottom.

Here is a pic of Mike's ring that came home with us... this is just a pic i found online... not the actual physical ring floating in air!

we ordered it in white gold (so it would match my ring... we'll see if we like it)

what do you think?

I'm going to a few crafty stores tomorrow b/c well, i like to be crafty! I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions for diy wedding stuff! I have a few templates for diy favor boxes which i am highly looking forward to trying. I was thinking of getting the "i do" letters to decorate the cake table possibly... any other suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Paint! Thanks for stopping by! I'm not really sure what we are putting in the favor boxes yet. I'm thinking of maybe ordering those custom M&Ms in our colors. But I think I'll make that decision closer to the date!

Hey ladies! I ended up not getting anything at the store They didn't have a capital 'I' for my "I DO" project, and I couldn't find a box acceptable for my card box project. I have a ton of crafty stuff at home I just need to take a day or two to organize the craft room first!

Hello everyone! So the mold for my ring came back, Mike and I went to approve it on Saturday. As soon as it comes in I will be sure to take a few pics. I'm very excited about it!

Also, I ordered my welcome bags. I was planning on making them all. (I actually have several made) but wasn't thrilled about the way they came out. So I decided to order some of those reuseable bags (the ones that are very 'in' now that the grocery stores sell). Yeah, I ordered some of those and they came in yesterday! I will be sure to post pics when I get home.

Also, I made an appointment at David's Bridal to go look at Bridesmaid dresses! That isn't until April 19th but I guess that means I need to start getting some legitimate ideas!
