newbie here. I am planning on coming out for the Super Soap weekend next month which is being held at MGM studios.

I need suggestions on where in the park is the easiet to get to and how??? buses? trams? or I have come across off site hotels much cheaper with free bus rides... how much trouble is that. I am flying solo and haven't been there in like 25 years so any help at all... much appreciated.

also.. does everyone rent cars or use the transports to and from at the airport. that seemed a little-- not much-- cheaper.

I would recommend staying on site if it's financially feasable. The hotels are so nice (even the value resorts) and you get perks like early park entry on select days, and free use of the buses/monorail/boat transports. Personally, I like to have a rental car so that we control or own transport to/from the airport (we've been forgotten by one too many limo services and left high & dry on departure!)...we also like having a rental car because buses from certain resorts to MGM, Downtown Disney, Animal Kingdom & water parks can be reeaallllyy slow...with a rental car we come & go when we like. Let me know if this answered your questions or if you have others!

If you decide against a rental car, disney does currently have Magical Express, which is essentially a free ride from the airport to your resort. You need to give them your flight information about a month in advance at least.

Initially I heard some so so reviews on the ME when it was first released, but we used it this month and found it to be an awesome deal. We were in the line checking in at our resort at 1:10. Our plane landed at 12:15.

ME is only available to guests staying on property.

I always recommend staying on site....when you factor in renting a car, paying for parking...it's cheaper...just stay at a value..POP Century is good...then the buses, boats, etc are free! :Pinkbounc
