Do the Disney Springs hotels offer luggage transfer?

I am officially stressed. We're leaving in 12 days, and I still haven't found a place for our first night. We land at about 5:30 p.m., so I figure that's enough time to get to WDW property and be able to wake up there instead of staying at the airport. I'm seeing availability at BWI, which is where we're staying the rest of our trip, but it's double the price. And we need 2 rooms. I considered Wilderness Lodge, but they don't have the pull down beds, so my 22 & 13 y.o. would have to share a queen bed. Not sure they'll love that idea. Granted, it's only for one night, but I want us all rested for our first full day. I called Disney, hoping they would have availability besides what they're showing online, but nothing. And the rep told me I made a mistake by booking a room-only and not a package. So that conversation left me feeling even more stressed! So.....what about Disney Springs? Would they transfer luggage to BWI for us, or would we have to figure a way to get it there?

They will not. You would need to call Uber/Lyft to get there with your luggage. You also can not take luggage on Disney transportation so walking it to Disney Springs Disney buses is not an option.

I would take the suggestions above. Since it is only one night just take what you can get on property OR be prepared to get your own transport.

Does it have to be Deluxe? How about POR or CSR? Especially if it's just for one night?
No, it doesn't have to be. I'll look at those. I think I for sure saw POR available that night, but not sure about CSR.

Have you looked at the Swan? IIRC Swan/Dolphin are the only non-Disney resorts that will accommodate luggage to/from a Disney resort.
When I looked up our date, 5/17, it looked like those were over $1000. Maybe I should call there instead. That would be great since it's close to BWI.

I just checked and am seeing $306/nt for the prepaid Bonvoy member rate. Marriott has funky dynamic pricing so checking back is key if you see it too high.

I'm looking at POR right now, and it says "sleeps 4", but in some photos it shows a small pull down murphy-type bed. Do they all have that?

No they don't. Furthermore, Disney changed their booking system recently, but not sure when it starts, so it is/will be that only if you reserve a room for 5 people will you be able to reserve a 5th sleeper.

iirc that change kicks in for 2026 bookings. I think 2025 is still the way it's always been.

The standard 5th sleepers and the preferred rooms will have the 5th sleeper. It's a smallish bed....but it might work for just the one night.

Caribbean Beach has a 5th Sleeper room available the 17th.

Standard View - 5th Sleeper

  • 2 Queen Beds and 1 Child-Size Pull-Down Bed or 1 Queen Bed and 1 Queen-Size Pull Down Bed and 1 Child-Size Pull-Down Bed

I just did a quick check and am seeing availability at several for check in on the 17th and out on the 18th(12 days out). Port Orleans-Riverside and Coronado Springs being the two least expensive. There are others.

Also, one of the DVC Rental Store companies may be able to find one quickly that wouldn't be showing up on the resort availability. Just another option to check on.

Another thought is that I thought they'd add a rollaway bed should someone need it. Am I wrong?

Interesting! That isn't showing up for me. I'll call. Thank you!

Yes, I'm seeing those too. I'm just hoping for one that sleeps 5, so my son and daughter can have their own beds.Thank you!

Once in a while you get a Disney Phone CM pushing their packages, or in this case making you feel guilty now so you package next time *eyeroll* (I once had one straight up lie to me and tell me to cancel my 3rd party booking and book with on the phone right there instead.) There would be 0 benefit to you booking a package in this situation. You just had a rude CM.

You said you have 22yo- they are probably familiar with Uber/Lyft and can help you book it for the xfr to BWI if you stay offsite that first night.

I just looked again and it is still there. Rack Rate. Do you have your filters set to no discount? That is when it jumps to all that is available.

That's true, I suppose we can get Uber from off-site. I'm trying to decide what's more important...saving money or convenience. lol. I'm a saver at heart, but convenience sure helps my anxiety!

I just checked and I don't have any filters set. So weird that I can't see it!
