Who is this person??? My "real" mom would not act like this. She'd roll with the punches. Yeah, she might be down for a few days, but it's been over a week now. Has my mother morphed into my dearly departed Grandma? I'd never ever say it, fearing a shanking with a KFC spork, but I think she's turning into Grandma, who had SERIOUS HP! And she wasn't even Hispanic!!

Tracy, so now I read the entire thing, middle bits and all (and they were all there, none missing ). Love it. I said that already of course but it's worth repeating - great so far!

So first things first, is The Enabler on the mend? I hope so. Isn't she scheduled by Dr DIS to be better by tomorrow?

So you know your "secret stash" post? (Bad luck by the way on having DH around on the day it came ) I wanted to ask you about that "stash" just so I have all the details right. I know I read way back on page 1 or so that you had planned to set various monies aside. So was the "secret stash" stuff that came in the mail the other day some of that money? I need to know. Everything must fit into place in my head. Details please cause I think I missed a post along the way. Geez, I sound like I'm actually panicking here about it. It's not even my holiday. And it's not like I'm hispanic. I'm just........ nosey I suppose. lol!! Oh and what is a rebate? I know it means getting something back. But when I was researching for our trip I came across this rebate term too in reference to getting money back after you buy something??? We don't have that here. I need to know that too.

Anything else now that I have you.... dum de dum de dum...... oh yes, one more thing! If I have it right your ideal trip would be early September but if free dining comes along you'll go late August. Is that it?

The MAFIA FOCK - slow, serious eye contact, no smile, thump to the chest before point FOCK

The QUICKIE FOCK- side to side peek, then pop the fingers to the eyes, and back down FOCK

and the FRIENDLY FOCK (this is the one I tried on the cruise and scared those misDISpeeps with). Smile, fingers to eyes then cool point and wave.

Oh!

The RUNNING FOCK is important too! Eye contact, fingers to eyes, spin around as you pass them, run backwards, and point. I haven't perfect this one yet. My heavy Baggalini tends to knock me off balance my FOCK spin and I usually stumble before I can get my FOCKpoint out.

Have I left any out?

She's miraculously on the mend, BIG TIME! She actually went outside in the sunlight today!! Baby steps, I know!

The secret stash was not included in the various monies I've been nesting. Secret stash requires no more saving. Yup, it's more than enough to pay for the whole LOT! So everything I do save, over and above what's already there, is for ME!

I know.... you should see my notebook! I've so many notes and ADR's. I think I'll take a photo of it and post it. It's seriously ridiculous!

Oh and what is a rebate? I know it means getting something back. But when I was researching for our trip I came across this rebate term too in reference to getting money back after you buy something??? We don't have that here. I need to know that too.

Ok, a rebate is sort of a refund. But you have to spend it to save it! For instance, you buy a stove for $800 and it comes with a mail-in rebate for $200. You have to pay the store $800 for the stove and you mail-in your receipt and a rebate form and *poof* you get your $200 bucks back! It's really a great thing and I try to find rebates on everything I buy. Crazy, I know!

Actually we're scheduled for our trip for August 21st - 30th. I have a plan up my sleeve regarding the Free Dining. But, you'll have to wait for that installment! The Ducks are coming over tonight for another pow wow. It should be interesting!

Well, officially unofficial. The there's about 6 or 7 of us "meeting up", if you will on Aug. 25th, for dinner and Lapu's on the Poly beach.

Oh, well I haven't printed all the pages off my flash drive. I'll make a nice binder with our itinerary and all our ADR's and all the menus to our ADR's for everyone. I know, it's not a sickness, it's a lifestyle. I do this for everything, but for WDW trips, I got all out!

Our Kona ADR is for 6:40pm and I think you posted on the old thread that we'd be on the beach or at the Tambu around 8:30ish.

What did I tell you! According to my fake Dis friends MIL, she should be back to normal by tomorrow. Everyday she is getting a little bit better. Today was a HUGE leap-o-healin'. She actually got completely dressed and all done up (hair & makeup). I'll tell you why in my next installment..... coming soon!

But it's so neat and lovely and bright. It's...... wonderful.

You haven't crossed the line from Disney obsession into Disney mania. I had 4 notebooks on the go when I was planning my last trip and none of them were the main notebook i.e. they all had bits and pieces and some bits were even continued into another notebook. Some were written in neat handwriting and others written in lipstick and eyeliner. You see I would just grab whichever notebook was to hand whenever I needed to jot something down - it turned into mayhem. Not just notebooks but also hundreds of loose pages, computer files (on 2 different computers), post-its etc. I even had notes in my mobile phone. It was very stressful for me.

But eventually a month or so before our trip I sat down and put *all* the bits on the table, threw away the thousands of pages I didn't need, typed up the info I did need, went through all the computer files and compiled everything into a beautiful folder with 20 titled compartments from 'Transportation' to 'Resorts' to 'Dining'. So in the end it was great but at your stage of the planning it was very very unpleasant. You're obsessed but you're not manic!

Seriously though (not that I was lying unfortunately, lol) the man hours we put into Disney planning really add up don't they? It was like a full-time job for me, one that I loved, one that I miss. It's the best!
