Mentally Preparing: A Focker, A Croc & Waldo hit POFQ! Trip Report Link is UP!

But it's so neat and lovely and bright. It's...... wonderful. :thumbsup2

It's still early in the game, though, Deb! I promise to get my notebook all neat and tidy, mummy! :thumbsup2
You haven't crossed the line from Disney obsession into Disney mania. I had 4 notebooks on the go when I was planning my last trip and none of them were the main notebook i.e. they all had bits and pieces and some bits were even continued into another notebook. :scared: Some were written in neat handwriting and others written in lipstick and eyeliner. You see I would just grab whichever notebook was to hand whenever I needed to jot something down - it turned into mayhem. Not just notebooks but also hundreds of loose pages, computer files (on 2 different computers), post-its etc. I even had notes in my mobile phone. It was very stressful for me. :lmao:
No, I haven't crossed that line... YET! :scared: :lmao:

But eventually a month or so before our trip I sat down and put *all* the bits on the table, threw away the thousands of pages I didn't need, typed up the info I did need, went through all the computer files and compiled everything into a beautiful folder :cloud9: with 20 titled compartments from 'Transportation' to 'Resorts' to 'Dining'. So in the end it was great but at your stage of the planning it was very very unpleasant. :teeth: You're obsessed but you're not manic!

Ooooh... I bet that looked great. Thanks! You've given me some great ideas! :woohoo:

Seriously though (not that I was lying unfortunately, lol) the man hours we put into Disney planning really add up don't they? It was like a full-time job for me, one that I loved, one that I miss. :sad1: :) It's the best!

DH teases me and says if I'd spend as much time looking for a job as I do DIS-ing, I'd already have my dream job. He just doesn't get it! :confused3 Whatevah!

Excellent notebook! And great job on the secret stash...you are the master! Waiting patiently for the next update...what's up your sleeve about free dining? popcorn::

Loving your pre-trippie...keep it coming! :thumbsup2

Is this the DIStrip confessional thread too?

I have a secret

and a secret stash.

Not a bad secret, not aa bad secret stash.

When I reveal it all to my family they'll be thrilled, but moreso because I've kept it a secret.

Does that make sense??

I really need to finish my cruise trip report so I can hang up here more.

Maybe start my pre trip report for my secret??

Or do you juggle more than one trippie at a time?

anyone???:rolleyes1

Noooooooo!!! You misunderstood me. It really is neat and tidy and just perfect in my opinion!! :thumbsup2
:rotfl: I'm just pokin' fun at ya, Deb! LY,MI!! ::hug::

Secrets welcomed here. ;) Although, I have to admit, I'm not the best at keeping secrets. In fact, I hate secrets. It's just not in my being to keep a secret. I've been known to unwrap my Christmas presents, check them out and rewrap without the knowledge of the giver! :lmao: I know, that's bad!
Personally, I don't recommend juggling. It's hard enough to keep people interested in 1 TR, let alone 2. Although, S'late is doing a great job! :thumbsup2

Hey, Goof! Thanks and welcome! Oh, I can't wait to read your and meeska's TR. You seriously need to start your pre-trippie, with the whole "She said, she said" approach! :lmao:

We are workin' on it...still coming up with a title...:confused3! We feel so behind now compared to you!!! Our trip is only 2 months away!!!! :scared1:

OMG Tracy I'm seeing you in a different light LY/MI

How did I miss this one??? You're not gonna believe this, but...

I do the exact same thing!!! Uh-huh - as a kid, I knew just where Mom hid the Christmas presents and I'd use her hair scissors to slice the tape, carfeully unfold the wrappings, check out the gift, put it all back together and seal it with a new piece of tape directly over the old. I finally admitted to it as an adult, and she'd NEVER known! :lmao:

I'm guilty, too. But my DH is worse. Whenever gifts come for Christmas, he not only unwraps his and mine, but each of our kids to find out what THEY are getting:rotfl: I can never hid anything for him in the same place twice.

Ok since we are all confessing, I do it too!!!I have never confessed this to anyone before for fear they wont bring presents early or my Dh will keep presents at work(sometimes he is on to me but he never really knows for sure).I dont sneak and open them if people bring them to our home and we are opening them up later on that day, just if presents sit at my house for more than 24hrs..Tracy do you sneak and open while guests are there???

Ok another confession, I always want to do this...but never have.I am always so close but stop at the last minute.

Ok Tracy today is the big day-How is the enabler???

:lmao: When I was a child, in the run up to Christmas, my mother would buy her Christmas groceries and hide them throughout the house. She'd always buy a huge tin of chocolates. Every year my brother and I would search the house for the tin of sweets and when we found it we'd take off the tape, take out two sweets each, put back on fresh tape and vow to take no more. Of course we couldn't resist so we'd do the same the next day and the next day (went through a lot of tape). One Christmas morning at the grand opening of the sweet tin (!) my mother was furious and threatened to write a letter of complaint to Cadbury's (the chocolate company) because the tin was only half full. "There's no way there's 10 pound of sweets in here" and "what's the point of making a big huge tin if they're only gonna half fill it, it's so misleading". I don't know if she ever wrote the letter. We did confess a couple of years ago - at the ages of 42 and 38. We weren't grounded. :lmao:

Guilty here too....:rotfl:
I used to do all of the wrapping for the family. Even my gifts:confused3 (they would just put them in different boxes). After I would sly, unwrap, I would fixer up. If this wasn't a choice, I would rewrap. When it ws a gift that I didn't wrap in the 1st place, I would just wrap it again with the same paper, but not as nice as I would have doen it (always made sure there was enough extra paper before I did the dirty).

I this every year at Christmas...until I was caught...never red handed, but they knew...

One year there was a HUGE box wraped under the tree. It was addressed to yours truely, princessjv.:woohoo:

Upon attempting to open it (as secretly as I knew how too...) I located several other presents...all wrapped...and taped completely shut!

That was the end of that!:guilty:

Am I the only one around here honest enough to not open pressies before Christmas  I will admit to lots of squeezing and shaking though :rotfl2: And I'm good at reading DH's mind, one year he bought me a gliding lesson and I guessed straight away :thumbsup2

Thought youse get a kick outta that! :lmao:

Impressive! And lime green to boot, why didn't I think of that? I have a binder with different sections in it with a bunch of stuff I printed out. But wait, you also have the flash drive!:worship:

Glad the Enabler is on the road back to recovery. I had a long talk with DMIL last night. We spoke for over 1/2 an hour just about all of her aches and pains. I told her to take a "calmante" and she'd be good as new.

Wow, I didn't realize that I am truely amoung my peeps here on the DIS regarding upwrapping presents. :thumbsup2 I read all your replies to The Enabler to prove that I am not the only sneaky person on the DIS, with the except of our perfect little DIS-er, Jo! :rotfl:

Sorry, I've been neglectful, but DH bet me that I couldn't stay off the DIS for 24 hours. Guess what, he's right! Beside, why would I WANT to even attempt that? I don't know what got into me. :confused3

Ok.... on to the latest installment.popcorn::

Well, I left off my last installment with "What's an OCD girl to do?", but we've had some new...errrr... interesting drama this past week, so I'll start there. :happytv:

So, this past week, we've had visits from my eldest brother, (we'll just call him Patrick, as in the Sponge Bob variety, clueless, too;) ) and a visit from the Ducks. Patrick came to visit The Enabler this week to see how she is coming along. I guess they had a nice visit, I usually duck out when Patrick comes over, I can't take the whole, I'm sicker than you are conversation. So later on that afternoon, The Enabler comes and sits down with me and tells me how Patrick can drive her up a wall with all his aches and pains and how he turns the conversation to be all about him...:bitelip: :rolleyes1 Yes, folks, again, this is my gene pool. I'm a lucky gal! :lmao:
So I call Donald and tell him he needs to come over and visit The Enabler, she's driving me up the wall with all her aches and pains...yada, yada, yada. Sound familiar? I even bribe him with a box of donuts. ;) If anyone is going to get The Enabler healed it's going to be Donald with his "tell it like it is" attitude. So, he comes over, tells The Enabler she's getting old and starting to act like her mother. It worked! :woohoo: I'm not even kidding you that it's now Saturday and she is 80% healed. :lmao:
Whew! There is a light at the end of this tunnel.

WHO CARES ABOUT FREE DINING?

So, while The Enabler has been miraculously healing this week, I've been fretting FDP (Free Dining Plan). Let me just, I am sooooo over free dining. I don't even care anymore. Guess what? We're not getting free dining. And I don't care. Ok, vent over. I'm happy. Really, I am. :teeth:
Ok, I know the dates have not been announced, yet. BUT, my guess is the rumor dates are pretty accurate as WDW has announced the come back of Little Ones Travel Time or whatever it's called to begin on Aug. 26th. So, with that handy information in my pretty little hands, I check out the airfares and see the costs of the flights have gone up, thus eating up any savings from FDP. So there. The jig is up. Our dates are set in STONE, baby. There's no turning back. With that said, we lost a passenger this week. Yes folks, poor Walt has decided he can't afford to go.:sad2: Too bad, so sad, Walt. No, Walt, I'm not going to pay for you to go. I did that last year. Your free days are over kid. So folks, bid Walt good-bye as he will no longer be a part of this trip or trip report.

So since we will not need Plan B, I can go ahead and rid my beautiful vacation planning notebook of all the superfluous ADR's and itineraries. I also have to call Disney Dining and cancel 7 ADR's. :rolleyes1 And now since Walt is not going, I have to change all the others to a party of 10 not 11. So, I did that this morning and managed to snag a better reservation for BOMA. When I added Walt, the only time they had for a party of 11 was 5 pm. I don't like to eat dinner before 6pm, but what's a girl to do? So, I asked for a later time for a party of 10 and got 7:20 PM. Perfection! :woohoo:

I was double checking my Plan A itinerary and noticed we would not be hitting the Magic Kingdom until our 6th day in WDW. Now that's just not right. My kidlets love MK. In fact, the prefer MK over Dland! :confused3 Well, I decide to make a few changes and now we'll hit MK our 4th day, 6th day and last day.

So, a recap of events: The Enabler, by FDM (Fuzzy Disboard Math :teacher: , not to be mistaken with Fuzzy Disney Math, should be healed by Monday, our dates are set, we lost Walt, and our itinerary is done. Let the daily touring plans BEGIN! :moped:

Disneyland_Mama saying Peace out!!! :hippie: West Siiiiiide! :lmao:

Glad you decided not to worry about the free dining,it makes things so much easier.Dont ya just love when everything just falls into place so nicely.THeres nothing like it!!:thumbsup2
Great score on the Boma res time. Your kids must be so good,my boys will NOT sit still in a restaurant after 7pm, I dont know what it is but they get CRAZY(no meltdowns, just nuts). We can be on rides or just about anything else after 7pm just NEVER in a restautant..at least not in Disney!!
Glad Donald came to help you out with the Enabler,I too can be easily bribed with donuts. Good to hear she is doing much better. Cant wait to hear more..
