Mentally Preparing: A Focker, A Croc & Waldo hit POFQ! Trip Report Link is UP!

Will I really screw you up by sharing my thoughts on this? If so, don't read on...

I LOVED POR Ab section in December. Loved the rooms, loved the layout, loved the leisurely strolls past standing water and loads and loads of foliage to get everywhere. Loads and loads of foliage and standing water. In the heat and humidity of August. I just don't know about that. Sounds rather like a sauna. I assume the mansions section is more open, but there's no guarantee you'll get those. I think I'd feel safer at POFQ, where the whole place is more open and every building is reasonably close to food, pool, etc. JMHP.

I'd feel much better at the WL, though. FYI. ;) Maybe you can use the above to wrangle with DH for an upgrade?!

Thanks, V. I think you're right, maybe I'll do that one for my January trip. ;) '09 that is!

Nope, wasn't me!
Confession: It was me! :lmao:

Wasn't that too much?!?!?!?! I don't know WHY some people are not looking forward to eating with me and my boys... I don't see what's wrong with spit balls, teeth pickin', and taking my shoes off.:lmao: I guess we EAT at my house.:confused3
Sounds like a night at the Ducks! :rotfl:

Here I go...takin' one for the team AGAIN...:hippie:

Somehow, I knew that wouldn't be a problem.:dance3:

Whoo, that was a lot of reading to catch up on. So Tracy, you might change your dates? You mean you might not be on the same flight as us? Aw crud!
I'm soooo over this whole dining plan thing!! I found out there's this thing called Tom Joyners Family reunion on Labor Day weekend. I'm thinking I'll take the less crowded days over the free dining. :confused3

I don't have all the problems you've been having with the Ducks. My family pretty much caters to all of my whims.:rolleyes1
Apparently, the Ducks missed that memo.:sad2:

Shes only changing because you got the best seats :lmao:

:ssst:

I was lured here by the lime green glow emanating in the sky above this trip report thread.....

I bought the lime green Bagalini the lime green Keys to the Worlds card holders with neck straps, attached LGMHPC home made luggage tags to everything, and wore a lime green DisneyShopping.com clearance icon t shirt on my Disney Cruise.

I saw a family likewise dressed in bright, cheerful DISboard lime green and I focked them

Focked them publicly I did!

and the woman looked at me with fear in her eyes and pulled her toddler close to her.

I looked at WDW on 3/4-3/7 and saw no one to fock

So I'm focking fockless

Where were you all?

First off: :rotfl2: That's funny!

Second, :welcome: Thanks for joining our happy dappy little group!

Question: What's Marmite? :confused3

I'm getting closer to jumping. I just want to say this upfront. I love my mother. Really, I do. BUT........

In order for you to understand my dilemma, you need a little background information. My mother suffers from what we affectionately refer to as "Hispanic Panic" (HP). It is quite common for hispanic women over the age of 50 to suffer from this ailment. She's only part hispanic, but her panic makes up for the other half. Anytime a hispanic woman is injured or is taken to the hospital, HP sets it. All of a sudden, they are going to die. They cut their finger and go to the hospital, they're going to die. "Ai Dios mio" that's all they say, in their weakened condition. Translation, I think. "Oh my God!"

Well, you all recall how The Enabler bruised her rib cartilage, right? Well, she's driving me up a wall. She went to the Dr. and she asked how long will it take to recover. The stupid Dr., not versed in HP, told her several weeks. Several weeks to a sufferer of HP could mean 52 weeks. She was looking for a specific answer. The reason: When one suffers from HP, they miraculously recover at exactly the time frame given by the doctor. Say Dr. Nonhelpershoes, told her 3-4 weeks. She'd be in perfect condition in exactly 3-4 weeks. Since Dr. Nonhelpershoes, told her several weeks, she's in a tizzy. Should she cancel her WDW trip in August?? In August??? Are you kidding me. That's a whole 5 months away. So, The Enabler, asked me point blank yesterday when I thought she'd feel better. Little did I know she was fishing for a recovery date. I told her about 2-3 weeks. One week has already gone by, so I think she'll be better in 2 weeks, tops, right? Well, DH told her she'd be better by next Friday. He is WELL versed in HP! ;) Guess who told her 2 weeks to 1 year??? Anybody?? Yup.... darn Waldo. He is very well versed in HP, and yet, he fed into her.
I couldn't understand why she was feeling worse yesterday. She kinda moped around holding her ribs, sighing "Ai Dios Mio" all day. This morning Waldo confessed. I seriously want to drop kick him!

Between the Ducks and their dilemmas/drama, and now The Enabler, I am seriously questioning my mentality. What the H-E-double hockey sticks was I thinking when I agreed to take this one on?? Mark my words, I will never, ever, plan a family vacation again. Or will I????popcorn::

Thanks for listening to me, my friends. I needed a shoulder this morning. I have to go now and lace Waldo's coffee with liquid laxative. :teeth:

I'm kidding... or am I?? :stir:

Delighted to have been of service! :rainbow:

Obsessively TRing at the moment to justify truly nasty, nasty cost of WDW from Perth, Western Australia. We are officially the most isolated city in the world - natch! :snooty: 5 hrs to Sydney THEN 12 hrs to LAX, THEN 4+ hours to MCO. I will feel like I deserve trumpets blaring and all the characters lined up to welcome me in IF we make it (plus upgrades to GF o'course!).

Actually we're so far off the radar, disney.com.au doesn't even MENTION WDW!! I think that's funny actually. And we can't get the free DVD not neither - bad suckage...:sad2:

Uphill battle justifying trip (2 weeks, late Sept 07) to DH (42 and not really interested), and DS (9 - even he's lukewarm) :confused3 I
can't understand it, I've been switching lights off around the house and feeding us all on the suspect fridgely leftovers ALL WEEK, waddya mean I haven't saved enough yet??

Lordy, lordy... what's a girl to do?

Whoa!!! I thought the 5 hour flight to Orlando was bad! I truely sympathize with you and your Disney desire. Let me just say, it was SOOOOO worth it. Every penny, every drop of blood, sweat, and tears! :worship: You could always come to Disneyland and hang with me!

Say, if you want a DVD, I have 2 of them. I'd be happy to send you one. :goodvibes

OMG...You have a name for this phenomena??? I've been telling my dh that the women in his family are just simply-crazy! Now I have a word! WHOOHOOO!

You'll be back for more... Nothing will stop you from the Mouse! Even if it is with 10 other family members...

Question: What's Marmite? :confused3
Hi Marmite do you get Marmite over in Oz??? I thought it was veggie mite! Tracy Marmite is another UK food that you either love or hate they even say that in their advert :rotfl2: It's a black sticky spread made from yeast extract (I'm making it sound good aren't I  Pork pie again!!!!) that you have on bread, toast, in sandwiches etc. I can't stand the stuff but DH and DD love it, does that make any sense?

Mark my words, I will never, ever, plan a family vacation again. Or will I????popcorn::
Ahh haa we have this in writing as I so don't believe you :lmao:

I'm still laughing about your Mum :rotfl2: What was Waldo thinking telling her that long

A word to the wise, Pjv: There are 2 things you NEVER say to a Hispanic woman. #1: You're crazy. #2: You act just like your mother.
The reprocussion possibilities are endless. And a shanking is not out of the realm, depending on her craziness factor! :rotfl: :rotfl2:
I'm kidding, I think! :confused3

:scared: Why??? Isn't butter & jam enough??? Why do they invent these God awful foods?
You know Maddie discovered something called Nutella from watching Food Network. She made me buy it and now she loves the stuff. I think it's hazelnut/chocolate spread you put on waffles, toast, etc. It's gross!
Ahh haa we have this in writing as I so don't believe you :lmao:

I added the "I think" clause, which null and voids any action against me, should I decide to :gulp: do it again! :lmao:

Ok, so did you see Oliver and DSis today? :cloud9: How are they doing?? I need the stats.... weight, length, eye color, hair color, how long was the labor....:surfweb:

My fellow DISer, I can totally relate. See my MIL is Cuban so suffers from a rare and more acute form of HP actually called CFP (Cuban Female Panic). I'm Puerto Rican but only half, so I will hopefully be immune to PRFCP - besides, I think it skips a generation. Anyway, DMIL while I love her with all my heart, either has or will suffer from every known disease to man. Tylenol is her favorite remedy and calls it her "calmante". She takes it for all that ails her, anything from a headache to the the Black Plague. Just tell the Enabler to take a couple "calmantes" and she'll be fine in no time!;)

So this is why they don't like me...wow...never, ever knew!

Only problem is I say #2 is- You act jsut like your FATHER! :rotfl:

I gotta stick around and learn some more from you baby!popcorn::

The "What is Focking?" thread and the "The Official Focker Crocker Exchange" thread have had warnings posted on them from one of the Moderators saying that we need to watch our language. I got a PM from MickeySaver asking if I had been warned. So far no warnings for me.

I was not personally warned, but saw the post about my Croc thread being moved and my DIS meet thread was closed. She told me to move it to the DIS meet forum...which I didn't know existed. I would think that a gathering would fall under welcoming people. :confused3 Anyhow, I just started a new thread for the Apr 1 meet at the MK. But really, what up?

I don't know. But the one thread that I posted my "play on a certain word" list on was totally deleted and some other threads were locked. I don't want to mention the word because now I'm afraid of being banned.

I tried to warn you. I did.

:sad2:

It is a little bit funny though...:confused3 Just sayin...

I can totally picture the Enabler walking around like that though!:lmao:

Where to even start?! This is the best! Up to 24 pages and many months still from the trip? Well done! So far I've read the first few pages and the last few and will go back and read the middle bits too. Fabulous stuff!

The Enabler thanks me for choosing a shirt that put her over her $50 requirement, thus saving her 20%. Huh? Fuzzy Disney Math. :rotfl2:

:lmao:

DH uploaded my iPod with wonderful 80’s music. I met DH in the late 80’s so these songs remind me of our crazy love days. New Order, Erasure, Morrissey INXS, I’m all warm and fuzzy! Awwww… I know!

Awww, I was a big Mozza fan myself, well still am really. I saw him live quite a few times (excellent) but years back when The Smiths were starting out they played here in my city but I wasn't allowed to go to that concert as I was only 15. My brother went and brought home a gladioli and, better still, his friend got Morrissey's shirt when he threw it into the crowd. I begged him for the shirt :worship: and he agreed to give it me but the next day his mother put it on a boil wash muttering things like "filthy dirty thing" and "girl's blouse" and "weirdo" etc and, alas, the shirt couldn't withstand the wash and fell apart. :guilty: Irish mothers! :lmao:

Oh I love the whole Waldo Watchers thing. It's kinda like Weight Watchers except intstead of losing weight you lose Waldo. Are there targets and point plans and Waldo Watcher meetings? "Choose the Waldo plan that suits you best!" If only losing weight was as easy as losing Waldo eh? :lmao:

Incidentally did I ever tell you that the character is called WALLY here and not Waldo? Of course, he's the exact same except all the books are called 'Where's Wally?'. There you go now!

I AM DORK, SEE ME CRY!

You are too funny! :rotfl2:

And I think the word "breasticles" is the funniest word I've ever heard in my life. You're killing me.... :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Tracy, you've got me rollin'!! I totally knew Waldo was going to feed into the Enabler's HP. Seriously, you have the patience of a saint. For real.

And.

I think you might need more than 1 date with a Lapu lapu during your trip. Just sayin.' ;)
