Just came back from 3 days at Universal (see trip forum for trip report).
We booked the Mears shuttle online. The driver was a doofus. He dropped us off at the wrong hotel, the Homewood Suites I-Drive instead of the Homewood Suites Universal (located near I-Drive, which is why I didn't realize it until too late). The name and address of the hotel were on the boarding pass we gave him. He drove away before we realized what happened. The desk clerk, seeing our distress, got us a cab and paid for the ride. Go Homewood!

The driver wouldn't lift our bags off the asphalt, we had to lift them and hand them to him. I thought that was a little weird, guess he couldn't bend down or something.

The cabbie got us there, but we were out two tips. I called Mears to complain but they said they couldn't issue a refund without a receipt.

Then the return shuttle driver was late picking us up. He told us he got lost, and that a passenger had gotten him there. These people must be too cheap for GPS systems.

The desk clerk at the right Homewood said, "This isn't the first time they've done that." The desk clerk at the first Homewood said, "They are the absolute worst."

Avoid Mears at all costs.

You obviously had two bad shuttle drivers. The first driver possibly had a bad back.

Anyone can get a 'less than wonderful' driver at any time. And it looks like you hit the bus jackpot!! I would have been on the phone to Mears as soon as I realized that I had been dropped, and left, at the wrong resort!! Man, they should have a record of what you booked and where you were dropped..why the need for a receipt??? Anyway....you can get Disney bus drivers that get confused and get lost as well. Nothing is perfect.
I will say that I have always had good service from Mears...not particularly fast service, but good none-the-less.
