Is this old or is it a typo? It says 2024.
The top announcement is an old announcement, however, I was posting to show the bottom current notice regarding Whispering Canyon. Is this old or is it a typo? It says 2024.

Following my post up from the other day, now that the Blogs picked it up:
From May 12 through May 21, 2025, Whispering Canyon Café will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, Guests can choose from a variety of other dining locations at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, including Territory Lounge, Roaring Fork, Geyser Point Bar & Grill and Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White.
We feel the same, have stayed at other places for a few years. Have a fall trip planned and are excited to come home! We're staying the week after it opens back up and plan on going. We haven't stayed at CCV in a couple years (been resort hopping) but it feels like longer than that. Excited to finally be back at our real home. We've missed it!
You will still have a chance as all the alternate layout studios on the upper floors are Deluxe Studio category not Deluxe with Shower, but there is only one per floor. Place a request for upper floor and hope for the best! (I've stayed in one before, really liked the space for just the 2 of us but wasn't enamored of the frosted windows in the bedroom area letting so much light in!).We love WL and have stayed there many times before purchasing DVC. We stayed once at CCV in a 2 BR and liked it too. We are coming in May and staying 4 nights at Poly, then 3 nights in a CCV DS Resort View. Looking on the first page at the room types on each floor, it looks like to have a room on a high floor, we would have needed the DS Walk-in Shower. Is that accurate? We prefer high floors so it is going to be a bummer if we are going to be in a ground level room.
9:30!Has anyone been recently and know the best time to catch Electrical Light Pageant on the beach by Geyser Point? We will be there in a week and it is something my SIL really wants to see.
That video freaked me out a bit! That scaffolding would block all the balconies. We are staying at Copper Creek in two weeks, is there scaffolding on that building?Forgive me if this is covered somewhere and I missed it in my searching - is there an update on the current status of the Wilderness Lodge exterior refurbishment? As far as what sections have been completed so far and what still needs to be done? I've been thinking of switching to Copper Creek when my 7 month window arrives in a few weeks, but I may take it out of the running if there is still going to be extensive refurbishment work going on (been there, done that at VGF!) I noticed there is no end date listed for the exterior work and my google search is telling me the permit went through 2026.
This wasn't even really on my radar, but happened to catch a shot of all of the scaffolding up on one section of the building in a YouTube video (it's at 8:37 if you're interested). I wouldn't want to run the risk of looking at that from my balcony if there's still a lot of the building left to go...but I haven't been following this so for all I know, this could be the last section! Would appreciate any intel anyone has. Right now Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge are both viable options for us, assuming nothing changes in the next few weeks before my 7 month window opens. I know Copper Creek will be finished with the soft goods refurb in September and have the nice new Murphy beds, so that was slightly edging out Boulder Ridge for my top contender.
I haven't been able to find much else online about this so hopefully someone who is staying there now can provide an update. I probably need to watch it again to make sure I have the right placement, but I was thinking it was the hotel side, on the far left if you're looking out at the boat dock. I would imagine they don't have people staying in those rooms at least? That video freaked me out a bit! That scaffolding would block all the balconies.
