Adult only trip to check out all resorts, what are the must dos? And other tips.

:worship: This is what I need.. I am like lost kid in candy store at WDW and will get sidetracked very easily on top of having no sense of direction. My husband will just trust I know what Im doing since I spend most of days planning our trips this last few months!
I also like watching the president's animatronics in MK Liberty square (I don't know what its called) without kids. Last time we went with kids they were less than amused and it was annoying lolll

I see lots of recomendations for Geyser Point while you are at CCV - and I agree as the food and views are wonderful. Time it to be there around 9:30 and watch the Electric Water Pageant. But don't sleep on Territory Lounge right next to Artist Point. They have a fabulous bar service - and the cocktails are far, far better than the ones at Geyser Point (which is technically the pool bar and the drinks reflect that). They also have a small selection of appetizers that are really, really good (baked potato flatbread and bourbon bacon are favorites). We grab a drink (or two  ) at Territory Lounge along with an app and then get on the waitlist for GP for a later dinner with the MK fireworks and the Water Pageant. Perfect evening!

I'm coming in on Sunday with a boatload of family members (in-laws)! It won't be nearly the relaxing adult trip that you have planned.

My 2 cents:
Day 1, go to Epcot on monorail, enjoy a bit of F&G festival fare, ride Cosmic Rewind. Maybe check out DVC center in Canada, definitely enjoy The Voices of Liberty at the American pavilion (I never miss this).
Exit IG, ride skyliner to RIV. Get Gelato by the water and check out the grounds, go to lobby for a coffee and look in the (small) gift shop there.
Bus to MK, maybe walk back to room for a break. Boat or monorail ride to Poly that evening, eat at Wailulu in Poly Tower, check out GCH lobby and the (large) gift shop there. Could monorail or walk to VGF from there if desired.
Day 2, Personally I'd spend some time at MK, then boat or bus to WL late morning. Check out lobby and gift shop at CCV and the lobby at BRV. Eat at Geyser Point.
SSR evening/night. Eat at Disney Springs.

Probably much more detail than you wanted or needed 🤣

These are great recs! Throwing out The Boathouse or Summer House at Disney Springs!

I peeped the menu at V&A. While not $600 if we dont drink wine $295 is still too much for my cheap self, although I drop duckets on DVC I am otherwise frugal. Husband would likely also leave hungry.. but I am still going to present this option to him for fun to see what he says

They are so good with substitutions. I don't eat seafood and they gave me the best ravioli I've had in my life. The meal lasts for hours (I think at least 3) if only for a once in a lifetime thing.

They email you ahead of time with any food allergies, diets or aversions, they will customize the menu to your needs. It is expensive, but when they explain where the food comes from and how rare it (different countries, from the deep ocean etc) 🤣🤣 And the whole experience I've never heard of anyone regretting it, but with that being said we are foodies and this was a bucket list for us

They will indeed customize the menu, and if you don’t eat meat they’ll serve you the most delicious vegan or vegetarian meal you’ll ever eat!

Oh I meant both of you, not $600 each. But I bet it can get that pricy with alcohol. It’s a Michelin Star restaurant, so reservations are super hard to get.

I would not do an Epcot DVC tour. The room layouts are modified to fit the location. They look very strange and aren't accurate.

SSR has open house periods daily where you can just walk the rooms without speaking to a guide. If you want to talk anything like points charts or prices, you need to speak with a guide. SSR preview center would let you tour RIV and PVB IT 2-bedroom lockoff units.

I would honestly request a tour at PVB IT if you're interested in taking one since you're in the MK area. If you like your guide I would let whomever you're speaking with know you are keeping your guide and just want to look at the rooms since you are usually based in DL. You can call ahead and book a tour through your guide or wait until you are there in person. The DVC van will pick you up and drop you off anywhere on property.

Since this is basically DVC reconnaissance I would explore each MK resort including transportation options. Do a monorail tour. Get off at each resort and explore the TS, QS, lounges, and overall ambience. GF's lobby is currently a mess, but the villa building is still nice. Check out each security stop and how the monorail access is. I would also take a MK park bus from a Crescent Lake resort to see what it's like staying down there. You can easily walk back to BLT. Try taking the boat from CR/WL over to FW and see how Lakeside Lodge is progressing and where it is in relation to the other MK resorts.

The free DVC "swag" at WDW is terrible. You will get a single water bottle for your entire group if you do the full sales pitch. The park/resort kiosks will give you a magnet or a print. Nothing too exciting.

I would definetely book with a guide ahead of time rather than just show up at a hotel expecting to see it.

When we went back to Poly after seeing it with our guide on our own to look again and asked to see it in January, it was obvious the dvc guide there was irritated because we already had a guide and she was reluctant to show us.

She did show us, but it was done hastily and with barely any information and several mentions of "ask your guide this or that."
It was very apparent she felt she was wasting her time.

We then went to Riviera on our own and a DVC guide was not at the kiosk for whatever reason. We decided to walk around and eat dinner at Primo piatto and when we were done they still weren't there. That could have been because it was in the early evening, but Poly was during the day and it was uncomfortable tbh without our guide.

Thanks for this! I wont waste my time at the Epcot center. My guide is FL based, I dont wanna mention Im scoping things out so I dont get his hopes up that I am buying more direct. Super cool they pick you up!

Luckily I have already done the MK bus to/from Crescent Lake.. verdict.. I didnt love the ride going there, loathed the ride back.

The bus ride there and back to wherever you want to go is so nice and convenient.

Oh I didn't realize your guide was FL-based! I understand, the room tours online are plentiful. You just really need to experience the resorts themselves.

Oh good, that's why I threw the bus from Crescent Lake in there. The walk to Epcot IG from the resorts is pretty great, but bussing from anywhere on property to MK is always a hassle so I wanted to make sure you saw that compared to the monorail and MK walking paths. If I wasn't splitting resorts I personally prefer walking to MK than to Epcot IG :rotfl2:

Based on your dislike for the busses I imagine you will prefer BLT to CCV.
