Meal Ideas for DVC Kitchen?

One of my favorites is a dish from Portabello Yacht Club at Downtown Disney.....I have my own variation.......which is super simple and delicious.....don't remember the name of it, but, here goes...........boil 12 oz. farfelle pasta (or whatever pasta you like) to al dente; in another pan melt about 3 tbsp butter and add frozen snow peas (about a bag) cook until peas are thawed, add 8 oz heavy cream to peas/butter mix and about 4 tbsp grated parmesan cheese, stirring until a bit thicker; drain pasta and toss with cream sauce; serve on plates topped with cherry tomatoes and precooked, grilled chicken pieces (Perdue makes a good Italian precooked, packaged chicken....I think it's called Perdue short cuts) This takes about 20/30 minutes to prepare and is great with a tossed salad and some crusty rolls. You can adjust the quantities up/down as need be for the number in your group.
We also like to order take-out from the Olive Garden on the corner of Apopka-Vineland Rd. and Palm Parkway. They have a dedicated person for take-out orders. They have a To Go menu and also a Parties To Go menu for family size orders of certain dishes. HINT: You can go to the OG website before you leave......for location put in Orlando/Apopka Vineland Road locatioin and print out their take out menu....phone number is on there. We usually end up with dinner and lots of leftovers for the next day lunch for six of us .......under $100. Sometimes we'll even order a few extra salads just for that purpose. It's great.....take the menu with you in the morning......call from the parks and pick it up on your way back to your DVC unit.
