No, I think you're right. We just happened to walk up on ours before the room steward got to it.

Oh, good! :thumbsup2 I feel better now!

Sayhello

Hey Sayhello...just wanted to tell you that I read your AK trip report tonight. Great job! Alaska is definately on my short term radar and ABD sounds like they did a great job.

Now back to our Med programming. :)

I just realized (duh!) that you guys are so organized and keeping all the cruisers on the front page of the thread. Just wanted to add some details for myself.

Also, how do we sign up for the FE exchange? I would like to get into it please.

With late seating and skipping dessert do you think we can make it to the sail away at 9:30pm? From our last 3 cruises I don't remember leaving the dining room until 10ish.

We are staying at the Hilton just 4 miles up the coast from the Port, Disney has told us to plan on 25 to 30 minutes from there to the ship. Don't know if this is security or just navigating the port adding the time, it should be 10 minutes.

It looks like there are about 150 people represented be the thread right now, lots of us seeking knowledge I guess.

I would like to add more info to the first page as well.

Howdy again. My husband and I are interested in either starting a group or joining one for private tours in the Italy ports. Anyone have space available?

I suppose I should probably add some details to our front page as well.

Hey everyone. So we can finally book our excursions and things next Monday, and DH and I are figuring out what we want to do in each port. La Spezia and Naples are the hardest because there's just too much to choose from! In La Spezia we are thinking of doing the DCL Florence & Pisa tour - does anyone have any thoughts on this? And in Naples are either doing the DCL Amalfi Coast Drive & Ruins of Pompeii, or are waiting to hear back from Pleasant Travel regarding a private tour there. Would anyone want to join that tour? Or does anyone have any openings in their tours either in Naples or La Spezia? Thanks so much!

I think there are enough people still interested in private tours in Italy to get together. I and another group are using Rudy's Touring Service (http://www.rome-car-tours.com/tours.htm) in Rome, LaSpezia and Naples. You might contact Rudy and see if he still has availability.

We used Claudio (limoinrome.com) in 2007 for our Rome tour and we thought it was excellent. We used DriveAmalfi for Naples in 2007 and it too was outstanding. Romeinlimo.com also gets good reviews for its private tours.

10 sounds about right to me too. You can always just tell your servers and table mates that you're planning to leave early for the sail-away. There's no obligation to sit through the entire meal.

Hi! My husband and I are very interested in forming a group for a tour in all the Italian ports. I've received info back from Rudy that he has space in Rome and Naples, but he is full for La Spezia. I have also sent an e-mail to Rome in Limo, who also comes highly recommended. I haven't heard back yet. Do you want to try to form a group? It's just two of us.

Are you using Disney transfers or taking a taxi? When are you planning to depart? I would expect the worst traffic to be from about 1 pm on. Before then, it shouldn't be bad at all on a Saturday morning. Also, looking at the Barcelona Port web site, there will be 3 other cruise ships at the port that Saturday beside the Magic (Brilliance of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas, Sovereign) so that will be contributing to the congestion.

I would definitely like to try to put a group together! It's just two of us as well, so at least we're 4! I'm already on a tour in Rome, but I'm very interested in one in Naples - especially for the Amalfi Coast/Pompeii. DH is still unsure about whether he wants to do a private tour in La Spezia, or if he just wants to do the DCL Pompeii/Florence one b/c he really wants to see Florence. But getting quotes won't hurt!

DH and I have already been to Florence and thought it would be nice to go to Tuscan wine country (particularly San Gimignano & Chianti) and Pisa. I've contacted limoinrome to see what the rates would be. Is anyone else interested in something like this?

My sweet husband bought me a notebook for Valentines Day. I think he was tired of never being able to use our computer as I'm always on it - especially when there is a cruise in our future. My question - can I use my notebook on our cruise? In the past I've always bought minutes and used their computers. Anyone know the cost if I can use my own notebook? Thanks in advance for any info you can share with me.

There is wireless on the ship but the minutes cost exactly the same as if you were using their computers.

Also would like to add details to the front page:
