May 2, 2014 - A WONDERous trip through the Locks WBPC

Looks like we are pulling the trigger today for the IGT rate. We officially received approval from my sons school so now all we need to do is wait to hear back from the TA.

Just submitted the request to join the FB group. Honestly, I prefer FB for trip groups as subtopics are easier to discuss/follow. The Dis thread just grows and grows. So I probably will be spending most of my time on the FB side.

This will be our 3rd DCL. We sailed the Magic to WDW from Galveston in February 2013 and the Eastern Caribbean on the Fantasy in October 2013.

We are a family of four. We have two boys ages 3 & 5. Both are very excited about doing the fish extender again. It is a highlight for them. I need to read through the thread to see what the scoop is. We've found that each group seems to have a different way of doing things.

Looking forward to 15 nights. Our last two cruises are 7 & 8 nights and just didn't feel like long enough. I want a grand slam but I don't think I could bare 3 or 4 nights. :)

Hi there! I am the one running the FE. Brixton never gave me her list, so if you signed up with her, and haven't filled out the Google Docs form, you will need to re-submit, as I have zero information from her list.

The FE is being broken up into groups of 20 staterooms. If you want to participate in multiple groups, just fill out the form again after I close each group. Currently, as of 1/29/14, Group #1 is closed, and Group #2 has 10 staterooms (with 3 rooms duplicate from group #1). Once the group closes, I will send an email with the list out to all participants, and start the next group. This should give everyone time to sign up for multiple groups if they desire.

:) :)

Thank u for the info. I think groups of 20 are very manageable. :)

We would like to be in two groups. Will refill out the form tonight or tomorrow!

Is there a Facebook group? It's a great possibility we might join this cruise. :)

I did the FE a little different from most on our first DCL. I signed up for one group of a manageable number. For this group we gave out several nice home made gifts of relevance. Then as we wandered the halls we saw other FEs that were not in our group and my DD, 3 and1/2 at the time, would want to put something in, "everyone should get something" she said. So we would drop in pins, candy, etc. whatever we had.
This time we will do the same. We will keep our "real" group to 40 or less and then drop little somethings in every other FE we see. My DD is already collecting things to give out. So, if you find little things in your FE that looks like someone emptied the trash from their pockets, small shiny rocks, bits of sea glass, etc. it wasn't someone being rude.....Its a "gift":flower3:

On the 2012 EBPC, we had one formal and two semi formal nights if I remember correctly. Sorry I don't know anything about renting tuxes.

Susan and I noticed the IGT and OGT rates for this cruise and are thinking about moving our Venice 9 night cruise to this cruise. EBPC was awesome. :thumbsup2

Thanks (in advance)! :goodvibes What a good idea and great attitude for someone so young. :thumbsup2

We are VERY BIG :woohoo::banana::cool1: into pin trading (anybody else out there??? :magnify: Anybody? ... YOO HOO ... :confused3 ) and would sometimes drop one of our trading pins into FE's as we were walking around the decks.

We CAN'T WAIT for the Officer's Pin Trading Night on the ship! party: On one of the cruises, it was the youngest's birthday. :cake: One of the CM's saw his button, and asked if he'd like to stand up beside the Captain and his officer's to trade pins. Needless to say ... :hyper: :yay:

(Did I mention that we were BIG INTO PIN TRADING?!?!?) :dance3:

We are also big pin traders. When I was much younger, I was selected to be on Disney's Who wants to be a Mouseketeer on the Magic, and won $80 shipboard credit, which was mostly spent on pins. Since then, we've traded tons and tons of pins in the park and the rest of our cruises. We'll be bring lots in May :)

I say do it Jeff! =) I originally has the 9 night Venice booked as well but decided to do the WBPC instead because the EBPC was so much fun!!

The Med cruises seem so expensive after doing these repositioning ones. You aren't even on the ship that much with all the port days on the Med cruises either.

Hello Everyone.

Debbie from the Outer Banks of NC. Mature lady : ) 1 Disney PC cruise last year. Many HAL cruises.

I'm thinking about booking this cruise. I have joined the FB group as im not real good about finding this page again. Yes that old. LOL

Hopefully this will work out, and hopefully dh will agree to go. No casino, No cruise He says. : )

be blessed debbie

Hello Debbie

While there is no casino, there is Mickey :cheer2:
I hope your husband will agree to the cruise :thumbsup2

We are! :cool1: Too good to pass up. Susan and I have been working like dogs and have stockpiled lots of vacation time so what better way to spend some of it than on a 15 day Disney PC cruise! It'll be good to see you and your kids again. Also look forward to meeting new friends on this cruise. :grouphug:

We loved doing the two Med cruises we did. Yes, it was hectic but we saw and did so much in those 22 days. Cruise prices were less back then but when you combine airfare (from US anyway) and the cost of all the private tours we did it was expensive.

That's awesome Jeff! This trip will just be my daughter and I, leaving the boys at home with grandma! They both gave me a lot of grief about getting their homework done after missing 2 weeks for the last PC cruise. So it's better for my sanity and their well being if they just don't miss school. :rotfl2: Katelyn is just in Kindergarten so I'm not too concerned there! My boyfriend may also be joining us on this cruise but he won't know for sure until the end of March.

That's GREAT! We'll have to get together and check out each other's pins. Our family is me, DW (CaptJackFan), DS age 13 and DS age 11.

OK, Stupid question here {since we are about to become GOLD Castaway Club members :lmao: }

What does the "T" stand for in IGT, OGT, VGT :confused3
I figured out Inside, Outside, Veranda Guaranteed ... ;)

Also ... where does one SEE these rates?

I think the "GT" is for guaranteed, but I could be wrong. It's happened before. :rolleyes1

It looks like right now there are only OGT left. If you just look for our cruise on the website, they are listed with the other outside view choices.

We just checked in. It's getting real now!

Does anyone know for the Cabo San Lucas Port Adventure which resort the Cabo Resort Beach Getaway (CL45) goes to? Any feedback or experience with this tour?

A reminder, we are two adults and two toddlers (4&5), so not many options seemingly available at this port and we have never visited here before.

All ideas welcome!
