May 2, 2014 - A WONDERous trip through the Locks WBPC

I'm willing to organize a tour with Dora in Cartegenas. Last year we were to go on the WBPC cruise, but had to cancel due to my husband's stroke. We were to go on this tour and have kept in touch with last years organizer. They loved the tour. From what I understand the hassling by the locals was minimal and the trip was really fun. A few limited mobility folks went with and had a great time too.

If you are interested, PM me. If I get enough interest, I'll set it up and let those that sign up know what's going on. The cost is based upon number in van, last year it was $55/person.

PM me if you are interested - I will go with first come as priority for this excursion.

We were on that tour last May and can recommend it. You get to see all the interesting places and Dora is wonderful with children too.

Please forgive me, but I can't remember who is doing SM. I also can't remember if I signed up! FE and SM are our favorite parts of cruising!

How can I make sure that the boys are signed up? (separately -- we will also buy two people gifts)

Also, we have used this in the past. I believe that more info is way better than less. Hard to buy something for a kid who "likes travel and The Hobbit" or "likes sports and Indiana Jones". Not joking, this is what we had to work with last time.

Here is the form:

Extra info/anything you’d like your SM to know?

Hi TwoPeas!

We actually don't have anyone doing a Secret Mickey right now. I think Brixton was organizing and then she had to cancel the cruise.

If you'd like to do it, I can add you to the first message so people can send their info to you. If you'd rather not, maybe someone else would step up to organize?

The Taste of California menu is the one that I scratch my head over the most. I have lived in LA my whole life and I have never eaten anything like what's on that menu. The first formal night will be the Golden Mickeys menu. The second one will be Captains Gala. As for semi formal I don't have that info yet.

Thanks! I guess I'll just go ahead and try to make a Palo reservation and if it coincides with something I feel I must not miss (e.g. Triton's menu or Animator's pallate (both of which I missed last cruise) I'll try to move it when we're aboard :)

OMG no Secret Mickey??? NOOOOOOO! haha

It is definitely a part of the cruise that leaves my sons bursting at the seams. Here's the deal for me, though….in a very selfish way, I don't want to organize it, because that would mean I know who their SM is, and that is part of the fun for me. But I absolutely want to have it, so I will definitely do it if no one else wants to.

Anyone? Buehler? Buehler????

Not me. I already have enough to bring for our half of a month cruise. Don't need to bring anything I don't need.

Did Brixton leave a list? I think her name is Sarah?

Yes Brixton left, not sure of her first name, she was dealing with some health issues. There is a Sarah, she is doing the Fish Extender, but not same person....

I will be willing to organize the secret mickey, thanks for providing the outline :)

Oh Awesome, thank you!

Would you mind if I put a link to PM you on the first page of the discussion?

Hi guys, I will be organizing the Secret Mickey for anyone interested. Here is the link for the form to participate. Remember to fill it out for EACH person who wants to receive/exchange gifts. I will pm you your Secret Mickey on March 1st, if we have any extra's after that date i will pm them as soon as i get them in, so you have enough time to create/shop.

Secret Mickey is a single gift exchange, like Secret Santa. It is a more "personalized" gift exchange geared specifically to the receiver. Based off of other feedback the gifts should not total over $25...

Because we have a FE going on as well with no rules, the choice of smaller individual gifts on different days, or one big gift is still up to the giver.

However, when giving, the gift should be labeled that it is from SM. Could be left with Guest Services, in FE, at table at dinner, in stateroom etc.. You will have the option of letting them know Your'e there Secret Mickey the last day, with card or last gift, or we can organize a secret mickey meet, and reveal...

Let me know any questions you have or feedback. This is my first time organizing so any suggestions are welcome! :grouphug:

Hello all :goodvibes I'm Tim ... Wendy's ... (CaptJackFan) ... DH. She is pretty much in charge of our family's FE & SM. I just pop in and out of here pixie dust: at times to see what is going on.

Just wanted to say howdy, and we CAN'T WAIT to get on the boat :sail: for 15 NIGHTS! :cool1::banana:

Howdy Doc

I can't wait to get on this boat either!

I am ready to start packing. Already trying to decide what we need to take. I guess we are meeting at the Promenade Lounge after muster.pirate:

Work has been busy and just now catching up on the posts after a while - do I understand that the original person organizing the FE left? I thought I had PMed someone eons ago, but now see that is sign up via Google docs. Definitely missed something here , but excited to sign up now.

I am really looking forward to meeting everyone and taking a vacation away from cell and email!

I need to go ahead and book my flights before the price goes up any more. I waited too long already and the price jumped $75 per person! That would have paid for our photos!

I just picked a time and place since there wasn't one yet. It's definitely negotiable. :) And for 15 nights, I'm sure we can manage to fit more than one in.

I am itching to start packing too. If they said they had to leave 3 months early for some reason, I'd start driving now and buy stuff along the way. I can't wait!!!!

:woohoo:
