May 13, 2007 EARLY Roll Call… 5/13/2007 4-Night Wonder

Scottie that is great news. It sounds like it should all work out. I will keep thinking of you guys and keep my fingers crossed that she gets something real fast. Please keep us posted. Maybe we will all have to have a Drink on the boat for her new Job.

I think I may need a drink to recover from the flight the day before and getting to the ship in a timley fashion!
party:

I might need a drink just because I had a 3 and 5 year old in Disney World for the last 4 days. If I show up with no hair it is because they caused me to pull it all out the days before the cruise.:lmao:

Hey do most of us do Laundry on the ship and do they send it out or just use the machines?:laundy: What is the cost I know I did read it and might try to find it but someone here might know the answer.

Never did laundry on the ship yet because we do the cruise first and then WDW. AT WDW we stay at a DVC resort with a washer and dryer in the room. This allows us to just pack about 5 days clothes for a 10 day trip. Only need enough clothing for the cruise then do all that laundry when we arrive at the hotel before hitting the parks.:laundy:

Here is what I found about cost to use the machines:
It's $1 to wash, $1 to dry and $1 for any laundry supplies you need to purchase.

We did think of doing it at the hotel before the ship but We normally do the wash before we come home too so we can just put the stuff away.:laundy:
I hate coming hoe to work and doing the wash is not top on my list of fun things to do.

Oh my, laundry before you get home. I am impressed!! I might get to it a few days after. The luggage stays practically packed. I still had all of the WDW info and notes in my luggage from Jan.

Anyones staying at the Comfort Inn and Suites before the cruise?

I am been looking everyday and still no discounts. I think I might be out of luck this time. I figured with my mom and me (military) that we at least get one of the two. Ohwell. I booked and practically paid for the vacation last year. Now it is just the spending money.

Funny thing..My DH didn't want to go on this cruise 1.5 years ago. So I said, fine, I will go with my mom. My mom jumped at the chance. Now DH is jealous. Especially when I tell him about all of the activities Luke (DS) will be doing. So if I am lucky!!!, maybe I will get to cruise again this year.

Skyw you are very luck if you get to do two in one year. Can I hide in your suitecase for the 2nd one.

Two cruises would be great! We did look at staying at the Comfort inn and suites but booked the Radisson with a two king whirpool suite instead. The price was about the same as the Comfort inn. The kids picked the Radisson due to the pool.
We had stayed at Ron Jon in the past and LOVED it. They have the best pool area around! They also have a great indoor playground and beach access. The price was too high this time so we went with Radisson instead.

I woke up this moring a I was so sore. All the stress in this house right now. Something going on every weekend just about no down time of should we say fun time. My husband Mr. shows no looking forward to our trip says to me Boy am I ready for Disney. I must say it must be pretty bad for him to day that. So I am going to have to shout it from the roof tops in may we are going to Disney. Just to have some family time. Our very 1st family Vacation.Anyone else feel this way?

Hey is anyone else do a stateroom door sign?

Yes, I made a door sign. I am not creative so I ordered some foam letters and pictures and stuck them on a piece of paper. Then I glued on magnets. It is on my frig now. It just says "Luke's family cruise". I didn't think about putting my Dis name up. Maybe I should.

The thing that I love about vacations, is not just the trip itself but the buildup. I do tons of research. Hubby loves it because he is there for the ride. I have only disappointed him a few times. So for me, the planning is a great stress reducer. Maybe I should become a travel agent.

I agree on the no downtime! Ever since March has it things have just been crazy... you name it and we have been doing it or have it planned to do! I just can’t believe how fast the days are disappearing till vacation hits!

I am the chosen planner for all of our vacations. Skyw maybe we should go into business together! The family just says it is time we get a vacation scheduled and I do everything from there. The rest of the family just sits back and relaxes.

We are still trying to narrow down which stroller we are going buy for this trip. We have a stroller fetish, so we have been told, and seem to buy a new one with each trip we take. I need to search the internet for a medication maybe.
:confused3

That is so funny I just told my husband I should go into the travel Ind. and he said not a bad idea. I have taken a couple of classes only have like one or two left and I would be done. I might just have to think about. I love planning trips.

So had anyone actually done research to find out if you can actually get a job being a travel agent and have a little income too. (without spending it on vacations). I might as well be one!!

Scottie, I also had a stroller issue. DS is 3.5 and I still have a garage full. Now I am thinking about a jogger so I can walk in the mornings.:goodvibes

If I can make a decent penny at it and sit at my home computer part time, you can count me in! I will just work late at night after the kiddies head to bed. :surfweb:

We have been better the last couple of years of making sure to unload at least a couple of our strollers at the annual neighborhood garage sale each spring. Now that Dylan is the only one small enough for a stroller we are trying to be a bit more sensible....just a very tiny bit!

From the classes I have taken. It is a job where you can work from home but you make money on the trips you sale. So if you do not book anything you make nothing. There is a test to take to get the Cert. for it. You do get some deals on trips. But not much. It is a hard job because your idea of a perfect Vac. might not be the same as someone else's. I plan to finish up my classes next year and should be working sometime right after that. You also have to find a office to work with other wise there is ins issues and other stuff of that nature. Like paying for the different programs you need. I belive that is a monthly bill. I will let you know once I get back in class. Right now I am taking a break.

:) Hi,

Just a reminder this is mine, and if anyone would like one to PM me with the needed information...The sign is a little bigger than the room/cabin number on the door.

:surfweb: Hi Skyw,
This only a first draft.
I put your DIS name on it but need room/cabin # and your first name and grandma's first name also, that is if you like it, if not don't worry about it, just trying to help.
Anyone else liking the sign can PM me with the needed info and I will make it for them.
