May 13, 2007 EARLY Roll Call 5/13/2007 4-Night Wonder

I know. I can hardly believe it. I was a little sick and totally missed out on Brunch reservations!!! It was the only thing I wanted to do that was planned.

Any idea what time we should show up at port?

I believe they wont let you enter into the terminal area till 10am the vast majoirty of the time, though I have read where people get in a little earlier from time to time. In the past, we arrived a slight bit earlier, say 9:40ish and they had the early arrival cars line up till they opened then we headed on in to drop off luggage etc.

We were also considering booking the brunch when I saw it open online, but dragged my feet and missed out.

Well I finished my shopping for the trip yesterday unless I think of something else. Which sounds like me. I can not wait. But aleast now we are in spring and have alot of going on's this next month and even more the next couple of weeks.

I’m not sure we are even close to being finished shopping, lucky you! My wife was just telling me how she needs to go out and pick up a couple of outfits for dinner and some shorts etc. I think I am probably 99%. As for the kids, they don’t fit into most of their warm weather clothes from last year so I guess we will need to hit a few stores for them too!
Just haven’t been able to get in the mood to shop much, other then my shorts from Costco, for summer stuff when it is still in the 30's

My MIL did offer to pick up the miscellaneous items and bring them in the car with her so we don’t have pack stuff like diapers, shampoo, swim diapers, and all the other little things we need but not on the plane!

A recommendation for those who travel and end up with some wrinkles in their clothes from the suitcase… try the most wonderful product ever invented Downy Wrinkle Releaser. We now take it on every trip and find that it saves us from having to iron anything on the trip 99% of the time.
Now if you buy it and use it and dont like it, I am not offering a refund!!

I might try that. Other cruises, I just send my stuff out for press only. It is worth the money.!!!

As for shopping, my son is almost done. He also didn't fit into anything from last year. I just need a few more short and t's. But I don't have anything. I am convinced that I will lose weight before the cruise. hahahaha. I did buy the mickey mouse Kroc's for my son. There are so cute. But not cheap>

I knew our boys would grow so I hit the sale rack at the end of the season. Then santa gave them a ton of summer stuff. I did get mu summer crocs. As far as the wrinkle stuff We love it. I am packing it we to offer not refund .

FYI for everyone we where at the Disney Store they had t-shirt's for 4.99 not just for kids but even for adults. We picked up a couple and they are so cute. Perfect for those easter Baskets.

The girls each got a pair of crocks for their b-days from my sister. They love those shoes!
4.99 for a nice t-shirt is a good deal for sure. We may need to check that out!

Wow, everyone must be getting excited! I can't believe that I had two pages to catch up on.

We need to plan a DIS meet soon.

Yes I know boy have there been the posts. I can not believe how fast this is coming. I must say I do not think I could make it if it was any longer of a wait.


By the way my little Spencer came down sick today with the flu. He is being such a trooper. I worry so much we almost lost him at 9 months old from the flu. He has not had it since. I am so worried but he seems to be doing ok. We talked about the trip today with him and he said he would be better by then. So funny how a 3 year old is making mom feel better.

Is it just me or as it get closer to the time we leave it gets easier to plan and deal with the wait. I got our Refund so spending is here and we have talked about starting to pack and when. Plans are just falling into place. Now I just have to tell the school and the T-ball coach. And we should be set to have fun.

When should we get our next Disney Mail? I am so ready for some happy mail. I know they say not until about two weeks before. But is that the Sail date our the Land date part of our trip. Just wondering since we booked the Land/ Sea and added a day on to it. Should I look 2 weeks from our Land sate our is it the sail date? Just wondering if anyone knows that answer.

Mickey4, I hope your son is feeling better soon. At least he got it now instead of waiting until vacation.

Documents usually come about two weeks before the beginning of your trip. However, we once got them about four weeks before. So you never really know for sure. I know it's early but I keep checking to see if we have a room assigned yet. I am hoping to be upgraded from a gty. 12 to a cat. 9. I will be happy with anything though as long as I am on that ship!

I am so glad to here that. I was hoping they should be coming. I love Disney Mail what can I say. Thanks for the wishes about Spencer. He is really sad tonight. And yes I am happy he got it now and not later. I just hope the other one doesn't get it. I will keep you posted on how he feels in the moring. I hope better.

mickey4, I know how you feel when your child gets sick. My son has this really weird sleep disorder. It only happens every few months but when it happens I am sooooo worried. We go to a neurologist this Friday. Otherwise, he is a typical 3 year old.

Well everyone we are getting closer now. I just checked and it still shows us in the same stateroom. So I guess you can say so far no upgrade here. I will keep checking. It would be great to get one but if not that is ok too.

SkyW I will be thinking of your son. I hate to here about kids with the littlest problem. Spencer has kidney issues in the past like the both shut down at once. Not Good. but we are great today and he even asked if to we go to Disney Don't I wish.

Hope everyone is doing well and happy to hear Spencer is getting back to being a healthy kid again!

I am in completing paperwork to order DW a new copy of her birth certificate. I pulled them all out of the file last night to make sure we hadn’t misplaced anything and realized what bad condition her certificate was in. It appears to be an easy process with Kansas so I am happy about that.

I am looking at doing online check in for everyone and the kids club over the next day or two. Are there any surprises I should be aware of?

Just make sure when you do your online check in you print the contract and sign it and put it in a safe place so that yo do not forget it when it is time for the trip. You hae to bring it with you. We put our's right with our folder of stuff ofr the trip along with our passport's.

Is this not the best feeling doing online check in it must mean we are getting that much closer. I know boy oh boy am I looking forward to it. As I am sure you guys are too. I know that my boys are asking every moring how many more days.

I did find my family macthing t-shirts for our 1st day on May 9th and my husband is like we will look like dorks. Ok we will but the kids think it is cool and we are doing this for them. And hey they are only 4.99 shirt and it was a Disney Studio T shirt yhe real nice one's.

Has anyone heard or does anyone know it the flying Dutchman is still going to be at castaway cay when we are there? I was hoping it would still there as we love those movies. And not to say it would be super cool to see.
