Hi Guys...checking in. My wife is officially a Kindergarten teacher again. She is really excited to get back into teaching. The people at Dis were sad to see her go, but really were encouraging and happy for her decision. She was told that the door is always open for her to come back anytime - that was cool.

This has been a rough week for me, I lost one of my major accounts. They decided to take to work with another company in China to "save money." This is the 5th client I have had that has gone overseas the past couple of years. It is so frustrating. Arrggg! Anyways, enough of that nonsense.

Having a beautiful day here...going to enjoy it!

Well my in laws finally pin pointed when they are heading south for the winter... and it looks like it's February and into March.

So I won't be meeting up with Shelly there either unfortunately... but now I have to think about when exactly we would like to go.

Great news about your wife. When does school start for her? My kids start Wed. the 13th. I cannot believe it is that time already.

So sorry you lost a client. It is so hard to compete with the low labor cost there.

Good Morning!!!!
We'll we are now home from the great state of PA.


and we ..... LOVED IT!!! Pittsburgh ROCKS!!! lol

We jammed so much into our 4 days. The Incline, The Zoo and Aquarium, the Carnegie Natural History Museum with the Dino Exhibit, The Carnegie Science Center and Sportsworks, and the Titanic Exhibit, a Tour of Heinz Field, Station Square, we ate at Hard Rock Cafe, and Jerome Bettis's Grill 36, and also did the Children's Museum. We visited TARGET of course..and IKEA as well. We also went on a countryside drive one night and did a scavenger hunt with the kids looking for covered bridges...it was so much fun.

Unfortunately we were late coming through on Saturday ( because of another house showing), so we didnt get to stop at the Outlet and I wasn't able to meet up with Shelly...

But we'll be back another time.. so we'll do it then..
So many hills and bridges... it was awesome.

The drive wasn't bad... about 5 hours... it was closer than I thought.
And the kids thought it was great that they were in two countries and across 3 states in one day. ( It's always the little wonders).

No bites on the house yet... but at least we had a wonderful get away, and were able to stop focusing on it for a while. DH is back to regular work today... so now I have to get out of vacation mode and back into reality. Laundry and cooking... oh.. how will I ever do it..haha

Glad you had a good time. It is so nice to escape from reality from time to time.

nc - have a fun day - sounds busy and i don't think that i ever said thanks for all of the advise about the house - lots of scary stuff but also a lot of reassurance that everyone struggles at first - so, i really appreciate it

lake - glad that you had a great trip - i guess when you live somewhere for so long - you forget how awesome it really is

where have shelly and sea been?

i hope jo's move is going well!

I think sometimes people don't like to say that they have struggled as if it is a sign of weakness or something. The truth is most everyone struggles at some point in life with something. Just hang in there. Things will get better. Just have a positive outlook and work hard, things will look up. You'll still struggle from time to time, it just makes you stronger.

Thanks NC! My wife starts August 25th. She already emailed her classroom supply list and welcome letter to the school offices today. I think next week she will move in and start organizing her classroom. She is very anxious to start.

Hi Sea!

We are having the most WONDERFUL August weather! It is currently 89 and feels like 89 with only 40% humidity. We are loving it!

My DS is so glad as they are having afternoon football practices. They started yesterday, the same day the temps came down. They continue with afternoon practices Monday and Tuesday. Then Wednesday school starts. He has football last period, so football will be from 2 to 4:15.

Do any of your boys play football?

Hey NC - well the party well let me tell you i fell asleep like a baby that night. It was about 8 boys and 3 girls that came over. My mom's house was a WRECK when they left. It's funny the parents kept coming to pick their kids up and the kids would send them along since they were having so much fun. They all asked my mom when they can come over again... she wanted to faint...

Do any of your children have asthma?

The football coach asked my son yesterday if he had it due to the way he was breathing while they were sprinting.

So, I decided to call to get an appointment for DS today. I thought it was one episode, well today after football DS said it is everytime they sprint.

I am trying to get the appointment moved to a sooner date now.

Send me some pixie dust.

well, I was able to get the appoinment moved to Monday. Not with our regular doctor as she is out next week.
