Morning all....

Shelly - Sorry to hear about the house situation. That really is a bummer that the state will not do anything until there is a casualty. That is just irresponsible. I hope you guys find the solution soon. I could imagine how frustrating it would be.

Sea - GREAT JOB... love the pics.... Oh the jealousy kicks in that you get to go to DL whenever you want.

RF - That is a tough situation you are in. The pro is that you will save A LOT of money. THe only con is that you will be under your dad's roof again. But if he's a cool dad then there should be no problem. I would not be able to move with my mom again. I have been on my own for 5 years now and she is too demanding at times. But goodluck let you know what you decide.

NC - Sorry to hear about your son't diagnosis. It will all be ok. I'm glad that you are a great mother. There was this little boy in my DBro daycamp and he also has been wheezing and has had shortness of breath and his mother still hasn't taken him to the doctor. Some people out there get me so upset. But will the meds your son will be ok espcially with a mother like you.

Hey NC - Sorry to hear about son's diagnosis. Did your doctor order any tests for allergies?

One of the things we do is on a regular basis is to have our air ducts cleaned as well as the heating and air conditioning units. We have also have our home inspected for mold and radon regularly. We also have air filters running too. I think every little thing we do helps to keep us all healthy.

Sea

We are going to discuss that at our next visit. I think my son probably does have allergies. There are a lot of allergens here. We practically live in a forest so a lot of blooming things, ragweed, pollen, etc. I think he tends to be on the milder side, but I think he is getting pretty intense with his exercise so I think it is effecting him since he is needing greater lung capacity.

He was a little depressed yesterday after his diagnosis. I tried to tell him you are exactly the same as when you walked in to the office, except now we know how to help you.

Thanks Mari! I sent the coach an email this morning, thanking him for saying something to my son. I am not at practice so I have no idea what my son sounds like when he is running. And a 13 year old boy sure doesn't want his mommy hanging out at football practice. :sad2: I am so glad my son will talk to me though and tell me what is going on.

After watching my son take the test yesterday, I think I may have asthma. I cannot blow up a balloon to save my life. Normally, I just get my dd to blow up balloons for me. She is tiny, but that girl is full of wind. :rolleyes1

:rotfl:

The weather here is wonderful today. A nice gentle rain again, temp in the 70s. I am lovin' it.

I can't believe my kids go to school tomorrow!!!!

Morning MAYers! :goodvibes

NC - Sorry about your son. That's so weird that he is having problems now and not when he was younger. I have/had asthma. Very bad as a child, had meds and the inhaler. Not too bad anymore. My allergies seem to be getting worse, but the asthma is pretty much gone. DS6 has/had asthma too. Very bad breathing difficulties as a baby. In and out of the hospital. We actually had to purchase a machine to give him breathing treatments at home. Luckily he seems to be growing out of it. It's been about 2 years since we have had to use the machine! We will be praying for your son.

As for the house situation, we have thought about going the media route. Actually one of DH's co-workers suggested it. BUT, we are afraid that if we do that and still nothing comes of it and we decide to sell after that then everyone will know of the situation here and we will never be able to sell the house. . . . So, for now we are still thinking. . . and thinking. . . DH is going to get a contractor into the house we are looking at to get an estimate of the cost of everything that we would like to change. . . Then I guess we'll go from there. . .

3 weeks until the kids go back to school. :sad2:

23 weeks until we go to Disney!! :woohoo:

Good Morning Mayers!

Well - The kids are back in school. I don't think I know what to do with myself!

Hi NC - I can't believe your children went back to school today. My son starts back on Monday - 11th grade. My wife is organizing her school year now, and my oldest is meeting with his guidance counselor next week to go over his college classes. Everyone is almost back to school...except me! Sea

hey guys! another slow day... :rolleyes1

well, we've decided - we're moving in with my parents october 1st... :upsidedow

we know that we can save so much more money this way and we even still think that we may be able to have a vacation next year by using our tax return :thumbsup2 this is going to end up being a really good thing for us until bob gets his raise from the union next year. wish me luck - i don't know what to expect :goodvibes    :scared: :guilty: :worship:

lol - we'll see

nc - too bad the kids are in school - seems like you're really going to miss them! :)

where is everyone!?!?!

just a quick hi -- work has been brutal, but I try to pop on every day to at least read :surfweb:

RF -- good luck on your move! I know the thought of moving back in w/parents after being on your own for a while is a little disheartening, but it could be a really good thing, and a great opportunity to save up some money.

Sea -- seems like the kids are really going back to school early. My son, who is a senior this year, was bellyaching that he didn't get a full summer vacation, but they get a whole week off in October, and some other time off, so I think it all adds up the same.

NC -- One of my kids was diagnosed w/asthma when he was younger and prescribed an inhaler, but he seems to have totally outgrown it, never has problems now. I do have asthma, but don't have problems that often -- it's brought on by seasonal allergies (especially ragweed and cottonwood), second hand smoke, or like when we had those horrible fires here a few weeks ago. Hope things work out well for your son!

Shelly -- very sorry to read about the accidents near your property :sad2: I lived in a corner lot house a few years ago and people took the corner too fast and would hit our fence. One time a car went all the way through our chain link fence into our yard, just a few feet from my son's bedroom! :scared1: And of course, they pulled out and took off right away. But we took pics of the tire marks and the fence and went to a public meeting at city hall and showed them to the whole city council. It may have been the public embarrassment, but they actually installed a 4-way stop on our corner.

OK, that's it for me, back to work...

whoo hoo, go, ticker, go!!!

Hi Sea! I hope your wife has a great year and loves her new class and new school. I could not imagine having an 11th grader and a college student. Here's hoping everyone has a great school year!

RF - Sounds like you have some packing to do! Maybe you can borrow some boxes from Jo. :goodvibes Sounds like you have a good plan. How's Weight Watchers?

Hi Katiebell! Thanks for the asthma information. Hopefully people will start paying their bills correctly so you do not have so much work to do.

DD had a great 1st day!

It is time to go pick-up DS! We will see what he thinks of his 1st day!

WW is going pretty good - I could be doing better this week - but I was under a lot of stress and lots of decisions needed to be made. lol - no excuses though!!! i am down 13.4 lbs and i weigh in tomorrow - we may weigh in saturday because we are trying to find a meeting closer to home - so i'll check in either way with the results :goodvibes

nighty night MAYers!!! I am sooo sleepy - I think that I amy be running myself down a little too much, I may be fighting something off - I'm not feeling so hot

see ya tomorrow everyone! maybe we'll have a bigger crowd in here tomorrow!

shelly - is there any new details about your trip? i'm ---> :scratchin :mickeyjum :chat:

Hey RF - 13 lbs. is quite an accomplishment. That is awesome. Keep up the good work.

I need to get back on my plan. I have blown it the last few weeks. Time to reign it in again.

Hi all... Sorry i was MIA yesterday.... i wasn't feeling too good.....

NC - Sorry that the you are feeling down now that the kids are back at school. Everyday i miss my little munchkin while she is at the sitters. Soemtimes I even leave early pick her up and we just go get ice cream or something....

Rf - I'm with you on the WDW withdrawls.... i want to go like tommorow. I was so close to booking a trip for my and my DD for next month.
