Well, I know we have a few cruisers out of town this weekend, a few sick folks, Lisa is enjoying Daniel's visit, and the sports fans are probably wrapped up in watching a game. Everybody's busy or gone, so there's nobody here to play with me!

So tired from being mentally drained this week, I never thought I'd make it through the long day today. Now I get to hang out and relax on the couch until tomorrow afternoon! THIS time, I'm actually going to do nothing but sit around and watch tv because my brain needs to unwind. :goodvibes

Hope you had a really chilling evening and wake up feeling more relaxed this morn ing.

Feel better V!!!

I have to spend some time with DH (off the computer!!)
Catch up with you guys tomorrow!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Actually I feel a lot better. Still stuffy but I think through the weekend I will be ok. I must be allergic to work!:thumbsup2
Haley tried her best to take care of me today and Samantha - gosh, she acts like a spoiled teenager. I really need some sort of parent handbook these days.

Glad you are feeling better V.

so here's my funny "star" story..living in california, I've met alot of "famous" people doing charity work or selling statewide propositions. BUT my best one and (in hindsight) funny one is when I met Jerry Springer. Thats right, the crazy talk show guy. I was travelling for work from sf to charleston and had to change planes in atlanta. I was 5 months pregnant and had a heightened sense of smell. The guy sitting next to me on the first leg smelled so bad (to me) that I spent most of the flight standing and talking to the flight attendants. Well, when I got off the plane I went to get a snack in between my next flight. It was then I discovered that my wallet was gone. I had it on the plane because I bought a headset...back in the day when you had to pay...so I went back to the plane and the flight attendants helped me look (thinking it was on the floor at my seat) but it wasn't there. I didn't know what to do as I was on a business trip. So poor pitiful me sat and cried in the terminal while customer service made sure I could get on my next flight w/o ID. A man came up and sat next to me, put his arm around me and asked if he could be of any help. I told him my sob story and that the airlines were helping me out, but thanks anyway. He walked over to the CS counter and checked on me and then came back and said he was sorry that happened and wanted to give me $20 so I had some cash. I said no thanks, but he insisted. It was then that I looked up from my pathetic cry to see that it was Jerry Springer. I sobbed out, your Jerry Springer and he laughed and said yes, so take my $20 I can afford it. Then he walked me to my gate and said goodbye.
So even though, I lost my cash, credit cards, the ultrasound pictures of my daughter, I flew onto charleston a happy camper. It reaffirmed my faith that anyone including "celebrity" could be kind.

So there's my best celeb story. Hope you all have a good night. Tomorrow is "croptoberfest" and I'll be scrapbooking all day!

Good story. That's really nice of Jerry.

does anyone just ever have those days where you think this just can't be my child?

Samantha has really been not herself this week. We went grocery shopping. We get home, put it all away and she demands (not asks in a polite way) a yougurt...it was close to lunch or maybe dinner and I said no and she sat on the floor and had a fit. Haley looked at me and I looked at her and she started laughing which of course heightened the tantrum. "everyone hates me" she screamed and ran to their room.

I so fear the teenage years...can anyone send me a handbook for this?

We were on holiday in a mobile home in France with our son, daughter in lae and 2 granddaughters. Abi was only just 7. She had an arguement with her younger sister, was told off by her parents so ran full pelt into the van to her bedroom, slammed the door and threw herself on her bed - just like a 14 year old! I just didn't realise young children acted like this.:lmao: I laughed myself silly(out of view)!!!!:rotfl:

Just remember....being stubborn and knowing what she wants are qualities that will serve her well later in life! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

That is very true.

This story reminds me of my bosses daughter when she was 4 years old. She pitched some kind of fit and her mom and dad calmly sent her to her room. She stomped up the stairs SCREAMING "I HATE YOU........I HATE YOU......I HATE YOU....I HATE YOU....." then she stopped and turned around and pointed at her mother and said "AND YOU ARE UGLY TOO"

That was the meanest thing she could think of.....so funny:lmao: :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Our house is starting to get cold too - but I refuse to turn on the heat until Nov 1 unless it snows! House temp is down to about 64 at night, and the outside is in the 40's. I like lots of blankets too though - Amy is the opposite - she doesn't even like to sleep with a sheet!

 Get that heating on!!!

Hope you had a really chilling evening and wake up feeling more relaxed this morning.
Good afternoon Marilyn!

I really did have a great evening, thanks! :thumbsup2 I fell asleep around midnight and eventually wandered to my bed. Unfortunately, my thoughts woke me up very early. So I'll hang out a bit, then find something good to watch on TV and let myself fall asleep again. I normally need complete silence to get to sleep, but I find when I have a lot of worries rolling around in my head, I can fall asleep quicker if I have the TV on with the sound very low. That way, I'm listening to whatever show is on, rather than my thoughts.

Oooh, Holly, according to the weather page on Snowmancam you have a frost warning!!! Now that is different from your beach weather last weekend.

Keep snuggled under that alpaca blanket.

I think I am just like you there Holly!

I had a very strange dream last night. For some reason, Heather and I were roommates and we had been keeping Angel while Deb's legs were healing. A teenaged girl with long blond hair showed up one day to get Angel. The girl told us her name is Julie and that she's Deb's niece. I told her she looks just like a younger version of Deb based on the pics of Deb we've seen on here. She was telling us how Deb's legs are improving and that the only part left to heal is a small area on one leg, but that she's just about back to being herself. Then before Julie left, Heather gave her a stack of DVDs and told her she'll be sending her a new ipod soon. :rotfl:

Dreams can be so strange!

:lmao: How strange. I am sure Deb will have some answer to this one. Funny how things go from one thing to another in dreams, like Julie coming for Angel but leaving with DVD's and the promise of a new ipod!!!

Isn't it amazing how quickly weather changes? When I read your post, I got up to peek out the window. No frost, but the current temp is 38 degrees F (I don't know how to convert to C....sorry). BRRRRRRRRR! Monday is supposed to be back up to 70 degrees, so I better not put the shorts away yet. I suspect that will definitely be the last day to wear shorts. Our luck is running out in that regard. In fact, I'd better get busy and order Tyler's winter coat and snowpants today. He found a camoflage one in a catalog that he just has to have.

It is warm here today too and we were out in just tees and cardigans - lovely.

I do this exact same thing. I think I have taught my DH to do this too. I woke up at 4:30 and he was watching the TV. I hate when my thoughts during the night take over my life. They seem so much bigger during the night. In the morning, it is never as bad.....

I am getting Vanessa up at 9am (8:55 am here now) to go here her nails done for tonight. She thinks she wants BRIGHT RED to go with her shimmery silver dress. Her shoes are unbelievable. I could not walk in them (5" spike heels) to save the life of one of my children :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That's because in the morning, we're up and doing things to distract us from our thoughts. During the night we're stuck just lying there. But now I can't get thoughts of a Subway sub out of my mind! I've had this obsession for a week and just can't get enough Subway! :scared1:

:rotfl2: Well, have a great time helping Vanessa get ready! I'm sure she's excited!

I had very difficult pregnancies. With Daniel (he was over 8 pounds when he was born) I weighed 10 pounds less than the day I got pregnant when I went to deliver him. I threw up the entire pregnany. There were days when I threw up 50 times. It was horrible. I left the hospital weighing 30 pounds less than the day I got pregnant. I even had "morning" sickness for 4 days after he was born....then it just stopped.....no more.....strange.

Anyway, when I was pregnant with Annie, if I ate Subway...I did not throw it up.....I always seemed to think it was something to do with the bread. Altough I still threw up a lot, I was able to gain 2 pounds with the pregnancy because of Subway. I lived at Subway.....breakfast lunch and dinner......

I could not go back there for years and years after that.

Gretchen was much easier....I did throw up every day, but usually just once or twice no matter what I ate.

Can you believe I let meself get pregnant sevarl times?? Was I crazy or what?:lmao: :lmao:

I was 41 when Gretchen was born and my doctor had told me after Annie...no MORE. Well after Gretchen, she said made me sign the paper to have my tubes tied off. She said I would die if I let myself get pregnant again. She could not believe I made it though Gretchen.

Oh my goodness, how awful your pregnancies were! :guilty:

morning all!

Well I guess we are going to the Bucs Titans game tomorrow! John just called me, he's got four tickets..Yippee!!

It's a 1pm game so we should be home at a decent hour.

I guess I'll have to run out and get Samantha a bucs shirt...all her NFL stuff is mostly Riaders and Haley has a Bucs dress I had made -----! Mall here we come!

so much to watch this weekend....USF plays at noon today (I think) and I can't believe FSU lost to Wake Forest!

alright we are out of here...will check back in later. So far so good on the attitude this am. Maybe Samantha just needed a good rest.
