DGS has enlisted DrHug and I to chaparone school dance tonight. DGS chose to organize a dance with Techno music for his Senior Project. (he said he and his friends do not like to go to the dances because they always play Hip Hop ) Money earned will be donate to the band program. He has done a great job, got a very popular DJ from local radio station for only $200, got many donations from local businesses. Free printing for the tickets, etc. So, DrHug will take a few photos for DGSs presentation that he will have to put together after, I will sell cookies or water or man (woman) the auction table or whatever he needs me to do. He said we would just need to be prepared to listen to 3 hours of Techno music. I'm not sure what that means, but......

I worked in the nightclub industry for years and love techo, house, deep house all that. Good music but may annoy the h**l out of people who do not like it.

Wow your traveling year sounds so great! I want to take a year to travel but that is a long way off with the kids schooling.

It has been great! We are homeschoolers, so we have been doing school on the road...it has been great, hands-on education this year. This is my last year to homeschool, atleast for awhile. So we wanted to do it while we had the chance.

I've got a 5th grader who will have to do one too. He had to present a power point last week on a 3 month project so he's familiar with the program. It would be great to share pictures, at the very least. I also need to get on the ball finding books. We told the 1st graders' teachers this week but not the 5th, I'm a little concerned about the amount of work he'll have to bring. The good thing is that his school has immersion week one of the weeks we're gone so his PC report can count for that.

We have conferences at school on March 11 and I will be talking to the teachers then. I have a first-grader and fourth-grader. If the fourth-grader's teacher wants him to do a project on the canal, we'd be interested in getting together with the group project idea.

Earplugs are the best invention ever. There would have been murder in the house over his snoring if I hadn't found I could use them. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Did I tell you how fantastic they are?

My wife usually took care of it. I think she has gone to Micheal's (a large craft store). She always works wonders when I tell her what is needed for a service.

Still no room number for the Figment Suite? When I read that they were assigning rooms for the early May cruise I thought the PC cruise would be next. I hope you get them soon, It'll be difficult sending packages or ordering from Shirley.

I think the allocation over on the cruise prior to ours was just one cabin I believe so not as exciting as we had thought.

Fortunately Shirley really only wants a couple of weeks notice for her baskets so unless there is a big problem we should be ok.

Not a good time of the year to pass the hat here. Spring time seems to be fundraiser time for everyone. Think the hat has made it rounds so often not much left to give but HEY you wanna buy some girl scout cookies?

I wish you lived in TN, I know a couple of people who would love Girl Scout cookies. No one has tried to sell us any this year. I was very upset, I wanted cookies.

That is unfortunate that DCL can't get moving on the cabins. You have to wonder what the thinking is for holding out so long.

I keep vacillating between ordering from Shirley and ordering from DCL. It's good to know we can wait on ordering until a few weeks out.

I hope we don't get assigned at the terminal. What then? How will we mail ahead of time and get the Shirley baskets delivered and get the info on the mini navigators?
