I agree, don't they know the disney cruisers are there to take over the Disneyland Resort. Seems they would stay away in fear of being runned over by newbees trying to get to the next attraction. Get out of my way gotta gotta gotta get it all done today. For me and dh it's for 3 days. Once in a lifetime for many of us.

well I had never heard of See's candy before this thread....and today, the Controller, who just got back from California....brought us a box of See's lollipops!

We will have to introduce you to the whole line!!

We went outside to watch! The kids loved it. We had ice cream with brownies and hot fudge. Sounded like good eclipse food to me! Was cool to see and a nice evening with the kids.

Oh Nan, hang in there. It is just a terrible disease and it certainly doesn't help for her DH to enable her. Our prayers are with you and your family and for the safety of your MIL.

You should check out See's candy website... There might be others that interest you... Unfortunately the lollipops are our favorites here.. I grew in So Cal literally less than a mile from the factory so I was raised on See's...

Thank you tink and Marr for posting about Southwest credits, I checked my LAX flight a few days ago but just checked it again and it went down $40 a ticket, I got a $207 credit! Will that cover a night at the Grand Cali?

I think the base room at the Grand California is $360 but $200 can get you a room at Paradise Pier I am pretty sure.

Hey, what's going on here?? I went from work....to pick Tyler up from school....to karate....to drop him at his dad's....then to Mangos (my weekly Mexican restaurant hangout) with the girls, then I come home to find only about 6 pages waiting for me? What the heck happened? Where did everybody go?! Well.....I do see I have 5 PMs though, so I guess I'd better go see what those are about. Maybe SINGLE MEN from that thread I mentioned earlier!

Everytime I tried to get on here after the eclipse the boards were not working so I gave up and I got into bed to catch up on some sleep!

They all might want to if they know we are going to invade DL. By then we will all be buddies so just wait till we see a fellow cruiser in the park!!!

We were supposed to have clouds (well, we live in Oregon, of course we were supposed to have clouds!), but it was clear and beautiful. We had a great show from our deck!

The eclipse here was at 3am, so we didn't bother. We have seen one a couple of times and it can be really impressive, so I was annoyed at the timing.

Popping in late tonight asking for some prayers and

My MIL has fallen off the wagon and we've found out that my FIL has been enabling her buy buying and bringing her booze.

We checked her in the hospital for detox tonight and will most likely get her in the morning and have her stay with us thru the weekend while we look to get her out of town to a rehab clinic.

She has done quite a few programs around here and not had sucess, but always comes home to the same issues with her husband, FIL.

She is at a very low point and during the past New Years holidays she had 2 attempts at suicide. This was not the first time for this all became very clear to us when this all came to light.

Hopefully we have gotten between MIL & FIL this time to get her to a place that she can recover and make better choices. I'm just at a loss. I just spent the last hour online looking and not knowing what and where to turn.

It's hard being the outside DIL the boys (Paul and his brother) aren't assertive with there father and clearly he is not making the situtation better for MIL.

Wish us luck and strenght in dealing with this over the next few days and weeks.

Who put the bad idea into my head that maybe we should stay to see DL after the cruise? We've never been. The kids have school Tuesday. I'm afraid it is going to be incredibly crowded by the time we get there on Sun, and we really need to come home Monday at a decent hour. We have DW hopper tickets we could use, what to do?

It will be crowded on Sunday, empty on Tuesday! Take a day, every person should see Walt's dream come alive.

We are staying away from DL that weekend! and friends traveling with us are also going right home - so that's four people on the cruise who aren't going (and we're all So Cal too).

Yes, it is another rainy day in the southland! My flowers look great, but we're sick of it.

Here's a picture of our area - photo taken from the beach - the mountains surround us and have been covered in snow all winter. Our theory, snow should be seen and not felt.

You are pretty close, AAA rates for GC $325, DL $266, PP $216, HoJos way way less.

I can't pull the kids from school another day and feel good about it, two are missing 10.5 days and the oldest one is missing 5.5.

I don't think this is a once in a lifetime. I could make DL happen another time if we really wanted to, but from CO we always think may as well go to FL and really do Disney. But we will be right there...
