I'm looking forward to seeing him and you too!! What are you going to wear Holly?;)
Oh, I'll pick something up last minute. I think Jill on this board actually has the same costume Tyler does, so he'll get a kick out of that! I'm not sure yet what I'll get. He really wants me to get an Elizabeth costume, but I'll have to see what finances will allow as we get closer. :thumbsup2 I'll definitely have something though.

One more hour until I can go to lunch. Time is dragging today!

Nan,

So sorry to hear about your MIL. We have other issues with DMIL and I can totally understand your feelings about being the outside DIL. It certainly is frustrating. Perhaps DFIL,your DH and his brother will look into AL-ANON.

How lovely. Easy trip home for you on May 25th then!!!

Us, too. It's my second favorite part of this trip. I'll be home doing laundry (before heading for DLR) in about 10 minutes!

A friend has one and she says it is really good for your back....Me, I carry a backpack.....and no comments from the guys - "Please honey, hold this, and this and this. " "Can you put this in your purse". I started carrying a slim wallent on a string after that - HAH... back to the backpack.

The good news, with a backpack, he will carry it for me.....:thumbsup2

This is exactly what happens with DH.
Maybe I should look into a backpack, I use the LL Bean Healthy shoulder bag. I don' think he would carry it for me, but a backpack he would. :)

I got the pirate outfits on eBay (4 different vendors! Couldn't make it easy having them all come from one).

I downsized to a very small purse for this very reason! I got tired of being the family pack mule! Now either my dh or my ds carries everything in a backpack and my shoulders, neck and back don't hurt anymore!

They're mostly blue Hawaiian shirts & a dress. There are pictures of Mickey and other characters surfing. I bought them on clearance for only $14.99 each last fall. We probably won't be the only ones wearing them. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I also think I have the same sparkly beaded red top that Nan is wearing in her formal night photo. Just warning you, Nan, I'm bringing the same old top again this year. Two women with the same dress. :scared1: :rotfl: :scared1:

Lori - this is probably the same dress I have (the one I can wear if my tummy is flatter) :rotfl:

Well we got some bad news today and need some prayers.

I was supposed to spend the first half of my day scrapping with my mom, she even took the day off. Well this morning she called to say her friend who has lukemia was on life support and they think she was not going to make it. SHe was going to visit her, I told her to stay as long as she needed we would do our things another day. They think the chemo instead of helping her is killing her.:sad1: She has a daughter 26 year old daughter and new grandson. Yesterday she was haullcinating and today she is unresponsive. She still has a chance but it is small.:sad1:

Jill - I know this is late, but    and prayers to you, your mom, her friend, and her friends family.

Canon Rebel Help please....

So, last night I took the time to play around with my new camera and try printing pics and such....All the pics are really "grainy" I can't tell if it is our printer, that I have the resolution set too low or a step I am missing. I know a few of you have (and love) the Rebel...can you PM me for some possible help. I have some great shots that look great on the computer but when they get printed they look horrible.

Thanks for any advice.

Kaylee, if you don't get an answer, you might PM John1 your question. I believe that's his camera too, but he might not catch this post when he logs on next. :thumbsup2

Guess what...guess what....

My phone was stolen off the table tonight at my regular after work restaurant.

So you know what that means.... I NEED A NEW PHONE....

what do you think i should get???

You mean you threw your phone out of the car window? :lmao: Hmm I wonder what phone you should get..........we can sign up for classes together :rotfl2:

Sorry bout the phone though, maybe I should go eat there too. :)

I went to see the nurse for tetenus this morning but she told me that I already had it by March 03!! I cannot remember it oh dear maybe too many stress!! I think I went to Australia in 03, I must had it before went away.

Oh well no injection today phew!!

I asked for Hep A etc for Mexico and nurse checked it up and told me that we don't need it cos only one day each unless if visit the jungle or stay overnight. She gave me the paperwork to read it for the Cruise.

Oh well another no injection for us.

I hope we are safe while we are in tours?

It sure is interesting to see how different the protocols are from one country to the next concerning immunizations.

Our MD recommended we get the Hep A.

Just be very careful about what youeat or drink while you are in port.
It doesn't matter how many days you will be in Mexico. Transmission can occur through direct person-to-person contact; through exposure to contaminated water, ice, or shellfish harvested from sewage-contaminated water; or from fruits, vegetables, or other foods that are eaten uncooked and that were contaminated during harvesting or subsequent handling.

We have Hep A because we dive - different environment - but when I checked for the last trip, I received the same information. Plus I was told Hep A can be given "after the fact" if needed.

As for tetenus - it is good to keep up with it where we live - that is the first shot you get in the ER if you have any bad scrap or scratch.

Perhaps they meant IG as an "after the fact"

What are the HAV postexposure recommendations?

Persons who have been recently exposed to HAV and who have not previously received hepatitis A vaccine should be administered a single dose of IG (0.02 mL/kg) as soon as possible. Unlike IG, hepatitis A vaccine is not licensed for use as postexposure prophylaxis.

Now, I am not happy my phone was taken. I have suspended service, so whoever has it can't use it. It has a picture of my old cat, who died a couple of years ago...he was my favorite! So thats sad...and my whole address book..which sux...I don't have those numbers anywhere else!

The restaurant said they'll call if it turns up there, one can hope, but in the mean time, I'll be perusing the new phones to see whats out there...although we all know I've been waiting for an excuse to get the Iphone....

Well I know how it sucks to have all your contacts gone like that. I had my purse dissappear once and I cried for the purse, the money in it and my phone, make up, etc... list goes on and on. If your old phone does not come back you need to get a new phone that makes it easy to back up all your info to your pc.

hee hee hee
