any Canadians use it? I can't find the app in the App Store I went to the website and try to download and it won't work.

Are we out of luck?

I use Apple, got the App. Sign in with your usual Disney password. All your info is there from WDW acct. you may have to phone DL tech support for help.
Max pass is great. And includes photos.

I just went to Disneyland web site, they have a link to their App. I clicked on it, got a message about viewing in App Store, clicked on iOS (there was android option) and opened to the app in iOS.

You didn’t mention which platform you use, iOS or Android.

Same as Sue M, we have the app and have used it successfully for a few trips now. Max pass works really well with it. The one you want is just called Disneyland and has a blue background with the castle and a firework.

I used the app on our last 2 trips and love it! It’s been a couple of years so I can’t remember for sure but I think I also followed the website link to get it. I just quickly searched it through google though and a link popped up in the search results so maybe that will work for you?
Agree with buyerbrad, the wifi is awful. I put a US plan on my phone for our trip last month and I’m so glad I did because the wifi was practically non existent. It kept kicking in and out and was making it so hard to use the app so I finally just turned the wifi off and used strictly data.

Yes, wifi is awful. Make sure you have a roaming plan. With this new MaxPass relying on cell phone usage hopefully they will improve wifi.
I remember when WDW first came out with MDE, park wifi was awful. To see plans I had to screen shot each day before I left room.

Sorry. I use Apple.

So weird! Every time I try it just says unavailable.

Yeah I keep hearing the wifi is awful. Data plan it is!

That is weird. Have you updated phone? Do you have an Apple Store nearby? Maybe they could assist you. Or phone Apple support. Or maybe DL tech support.
I have a 7 and had no problem downloading app from Disneyland web site link.

Sparrow78 let us know if you’re successful with App. It will be fun to get PhotoPass with all the Christmas decorations. The Halloween ones were amazing. I’m looking forward to seeing the WDW Christmas decorations for the first time.

I downloaded the app less than 2 weeks ago on my iPhone without any issue. I searched for it directly on the app store and my account is canadian.

I'm going to wait a few more days. Trying to decide if I want to update to a new phone anyways lol

We used it for our latest trip and loved it. It's accessed from main Disneyland app. We had roaming or US plan and found it worked well. We purchased daily when we entered the park.

I'm a Canadian planning to visit Disneyland with my family. We would like to try MaxPass but US roaming data packages from Canada are not very reasonable. In the past, we used free roaming data/voice/text services from Freedompop but I'm concerned data rates from Freedompop won't be fast enough to use MaxPass efficiently. Can anyone suggest voice/mail/data packages that are available for purchase by foreign tourists in the Anaheim area? Thanks in advance for any insights!

If you have smartphones that are unlocked (or can be) the easiest and cheapest option is a US SIM card. We've used both Telaway (telaway.ca) and Roam (roammobility.com). The bonus with Roam is you only need to pay for the SIM card once and can keep reusing it. Super simple and pretty cheap.

Sorry @snootchiebootchies I forgot to include you quote in my reply

We bought two SIM cards from ROAM and they work really well. The only things is that you have to have an unlocked phone to use them. When I got my new phone this summer, I decided that it was not worth it to pay yet another $50 to get this phone unlocked so I will wait until December 1st when the new regulations are coming in and unlock it then. Until then, I just use the Telus roaming at $7/day.

Thanks for the responses. Our households only use unlocked phones. I've looked at Roam Mobility and Telaway and they're both pretty expensive. We plan to be in California for 14 days and their monthly plans are both $60+ for unlimited text, talk and 4 GB data.

Has anybody tried the T-Mobile's tourist package?

Pre-paid sim card with 21 days, unlimited text, 1000 minutes talk, unlimited data but only 2 GB on 4G. All for $30. How is T-Mobile's service in Disneyland?

How much is max pass? does it include photopass automatically or it's another add on? Thanks.

10$/day per person and yes it includes photopass automatically. Planning on getting maxpass in April for our 3 days at DLR but it’s only DH and me...

$10 per day is a good deal I guess. For us visitors anyway, it may save time... Unless everyone is getting it then there won't be any advantage.
