March 2009 Code Watch

Don't panic Nikki...it's only speculations....you may be able to apply whatever the deal is to your existing....everyone will know for sure when the announcement is released....hopefully later today!

Also you won't need to pay the deposit today....within 7 days.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!! You just calmed me down! :grouphug:

Oh crap but I don't have $200 right now to book a new reservation. Will they take from my old ressie. I have $1600 down on that ressie. (It's not paid in full)

yes this is all just rumor. No real work until later this afternoon.

If you do have to book a new reservation. you can ask them to put a 7-day hold on it. Then cancel the other and when you get the refund you can then call back and apply that to the new reservation.

For those looking at SW flights...Yes, the new prices are not that good but, use the Dings. I was able to change my "flights" about 2 weeks before we were leaving and saved about $150.00.

Good luck!!!

Just one more little question. :goodvibes

IF I do have to cancel my other reservation what do I do about my meal ADR's? Do they also get cancelled or do they stay in the system??

I know some CM's asked for my reservation # when I made some of the ADR's. Like CRT specifically.

TIA! :wizard:

I'd check with the CM when booking, but they can normally transfer them to your new ressie, if they are even actually attached to your reservation, most aren't since they're in the middle of adr systems.

This would be an awesome deal for us! Can't wait to see what happens!
Thanks to everyone who helps to keep me updated and sane :worship: :worship:

Great deal - 7 nights for the price of 4 at Walt Disney World resorts between January 4 and June 27! Plus, if you travel between January 4 and March 29, get a $200 Gift Card. Details are coming!

AHHHH! Right as I posted Mousesavers updated!

I got a GREAT CM! Terrific!

I upgraded from POP to CBR, saved $300 (would have saved about $550 if I just did POP but I upgraded) and got the $200 GC!!! I'm VERY happy! We have dining and tickets with this!

THANKS TO THE DIS!

Just revised our ressie too. NOTE: You must book a package! We already had tix so I had to spend the $300 for 4 1-day base tickets, but I guess that's still a deal. Or, could just one of us had bought a ticket?

Does anyone know...is the $200 gift card per room, or ressie? I just booked two rooms at POP on one ressie...if I made two seperate ressies I'm guessing I'd get two gift cards, right? (I'm trying to justify the $$$ I spent on park tix we really didn't need! :goodvibes )

I'm waiting to hear from DU to see if they could switch my ressies from room only to the package.

To answer my previous questions...the $200 credit is per ressie; if you book two rooms under two ressies (which I did), you'll get two $200 cards upon check in. (Need to have different names on the rooms I believe).

HTH! Have a great trip everyone! :goodvibes

Anyone up for Disney Math, Its too late for me to think, and I'm the farthest thing from an accountant
We were booked 5 days (tues till Sunday) at Beach club, water view, dining plan, March 17-22 2 adults 2 kids
Soooo
If I upped it to a week March 15-22, what am I looking at
I see us saving one day, but adding dining, getting a $200 gift card, but paying $150 a person to change airlines
Going only 5 days was not purely limited by economics, it was more about taking our 2nd grader out of school. but my wife has eased on that (cause the little guy is doing better)
Any thoughts?

My trip was going to cost $3500.....five nights at CSR with a room only the night before at CSR. So, now it is costing $3300 + $200 gift card to stay 7 nights. We were not able to save as much because we had to add the dinning, but it is still worth it. I get to stay Sat - Sat!!!

Yep me too...we didn't save a whole ton...BUT I switched my trip from POP 8 nights and AKL CL 3 nights to AKL CL for 7 nights and POP for 4!!!! But by the time I added dining for all 11 nights, I only saves a little under $200 but then add the gift card & I'll come out $400 ahead AND get to stay at my dream resort for 7 nights!!!!

I still might cancel the dining plan for the first 4 nights at POP....we arrive late Friday morning 3/20....plan on going to the P&P party that night so no TS that night, Saturday & Sunday we could easily grab quick CS meals & check into AKL early MOnday am - while the room won't be ready we can get out KTTK w/ dining on them....I have to see what that price difference would be.....

I guess all our praying to the pixie got us a not too shabby deal for March!!!!!!

We were originally booked at POP for March 28th - April 4th for 2551.39, and when i called last night all of the pop options were gone. So we then upgraded to POR for 2457.88 with 7 day MYW park hopper passes with water parks, dining. So we moved up in resorts, and came down in price YAY:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Just got off the phone with our AAA agent. We were only booked for 6 nights and I thought we would have to add a day to get the deal (wasn't really looking forward to changing our flight's $$$) but didn't have to. We saved $300 on our package and get the gift card. $500 extra bucks to spend is good with me!!! And, she is getting our Pirate and Princess Party tickets for us!! Great day and thank you DIS!!!:cheer2:

I was originally doing the Yacht Club, Water View, 5 days, dining plan, and park hoppers, including airfare, 2 adults, 2 children 7,088 (that had included a previous airfare change fee of $150 a person)
now everything the same, except 7 days, $6,500 (including another airfare change fee of $150 a person) for $6,500, plus the $200 Gift card
So I would have saved $1,200 plus the $200 gift card to stay a couple of extra days, not bad!
I needed this Disney pick me up because my original trip with my extended family was supposed to start this sunday, but we had to cancel due to my wifes pregnancy :) My entire family (parents, sisters, bro in laws, neices and nephews are still going next weekNot only did we get banged for the airfare change fees, we lost my dads 40% off room, so we are close to even again

Yeah!!
