Well this is a Bit of an Update on Disney's New Bus
System called "Magic On Demand"

Good News for those of you that like to ride the Bus
to Downtown Disney & Fort Wilderness. These routes will be taken out of the Magic On Demand System starting June 24, 2001. (also Typhoon Lagoon too)

The Magic on Demand system is still only being used in the Morning Hours untill 11 am. then Most Buses (see MK note) go on the old system of Count Sheets so the Buses don't have the Computers Dispatching Buses at least not yet.
The Magic Kingdom Routes however run a Limited Magic
on Demand system after 11am (They also tend to get the most Complants of all the Park routes).

Disney has put the Resort Greeders back in the Load Zones at Selected Resorts but not at all Resorts, also some Resorts only have one Greeder at the entire
resort. The Greeders are using the Palm Computers again but I am told that they are only keeping track of how many guest get on the Buses at the Resorts. The Resort Greeders Leave the Bus Loads Zones at 11 am.

Only the Major Themeparks will use Magic on Demand
after June 24, (well untill Disney Changes its mind again)
Other changes may happen too with the Major Parks,
won't know till June 24 so will see what happens then.

Some older Info about Magic On Demand from the First week back in March. it was said that Disney Got over
8 thousand Complaints just in the first Week because of this new System, and normaly Disney would only get that many Complaints in a Years time yet alone in one week.

Disney now has 17 new Nova Buses Being used around
the Disney property, they are kind of Neat to Drive.

Thats it for Now until next time.

Those new buses are awesome. Easier to get on with my wheelchair. Ramp ratio is perfect. I love them!

To J. Thornhill

There is about 30 more Buses expected to arrive
in Oct this year, for the opening of Pop Centry Resort.

There going to be a bit of a slow down on Building New
Resorts for awhile, so Disney is going to take the time
to Replace All of the Aging RTS Buses with Nova's, and will take about 5 years to complete the change over
to the Nova's Buses.

Also the Nova's are kind of Fun to Drive, sort of like Driving a New car. The A/C system is much Better than
the RTS's as it gets pretty HOT in the front of the RTS Buses where the Driver is sitting.

We used the buses on the 11th of this month. We tried to go from MGM back to AKL after Fantasmic. The driver we had going over to MGM told us that they were trying the bus on demand thing again especially in the evening. He said it was horrible and he was right. We knew that leaving when we did that we would have to wait but we didn't realize how upset we would be or we would have never tried this. When the 1st bus filled up we were next for the next bus. An empty new bus pulled up and we all began to load but the driver stopped everyone and told them that he was being sent somewhere else. We watched as he went to pick up NON resort guest and take them to the Animal Kingdom park where they had left their cars. After all the seats were taken he pulled back to where we were and picked up about 30 more people and all of which had to stand. We really got upset when he took the NON resort guest to the park and unloaded them first causing all of us resort guest to have to unload so the others could get off and then we had to reload. When you are paying close to $300 a night you would expect to be loaded first. From now on we will always drive our own vehicle.
