Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

I tend to go dressy tops and dress pants for dinner as I am always cold in the dining rooms.

You take the same approach as my DW. She tries to avoid skirts or anything sleeveless in the theater and dining room for the exact same reason. I'm not complaining because the sweaters and tops are generally cheaper than a new dress.

Who else has the early dining? It would be great if we could somehow get seating together!

We are in main dining too....it would be nice to know who you are sitting with before hand, eh?

Does DCL allow you to pick your dinner mates at embarkation?

Way cool! Er....uh.....COLD! Although we enjoy our "Lake Effect" gifts from Lake Michigan, we haven't seen THAT kind of dumping of snow in a VERY long time!

As for formal attire - I have two floorlength dresses and a semi-formal that will be coming with me. All three girls also have similar styles - so we have one suitcase already packed with only formal gowns!!!!

Thinking about packing.

Does anyone know if you can check more than two bags pp?

I might need one extra suitcase but i don’t want to be unpleasantly surprised at the port when we try to check them. Will the baggage handlers give you an extra tag?

Btw thank you to all those who gave feedback on making calls during the cruise!

Ok another mad day planned. I have to go pick up a perscription, go back to opticians, take my son to nursery, get some food in for the weekend, go to the gym and see my son's show. Just a few days to go now though I am so excited and Gatwick airport has finally reopened, so they have a few days to get everyone sorted before we get there .

O.K., so things have been crazy here. I was supposed to leave today but the rotator plane that was scheduled to pick us up has been hit by a bird!! So repairs have to be done and now I'm not leaving until tomorrow. Wow, I have had to change so many reservations, etc. that I'm a little stressed.

Once I leave tomorrow (hopefully), I will have VERY little internet access for awhile. I would like to ask that if anything informative, fun or exciting comes up on the board, could someone please keep me updated by sending me a pm, that way I can get on quick and check things out? I would really appreciate it.

Also I would very much like to join the Champagne Girls!

I tried to order a Back of the Pack T-shirt, but was never successful, so I guess that I will have to wesr something else that is Disney related.

In case it is needed our room number is 7560 and we're the "Adams" family.

A few days ago I purchased tickets to the MVMCP for the 16th, so we might see a few people there.

Thank you for any help you can give. I better go get busy because I still have not packed my suitcase yet!

So glad everyone is posting their packing thoughts, this is helpful. I'm still clueless and won't start packing until the week of, tho I will probably make numerous lists--does that sorta count as packing? Only issue is, how much luggage do I need?

We ARE going to Springfield tonite to pick up some stuff for DH which should be fun, then we have several Christmas parties this weekend, which I would rather skip bc of what I need to do!

Happy Friday everyone! In two weeks we will be driving to Kansas City to catch our 11am flight to Orlando!!! Whoopie!

Kimberly, I've certainly had nights like that! I think there are no limits to the bags you check for the boat, just need to get more tags from the porters.

Cold here today in Central Florida! It might have gotten as low as 40 F. Brrrr.... But those pictures of snow - wow! Remind me of my days growing up in Upstate NY.

We are a party of 7. Do you think we will have our own table, or will they put someone else with us? We are 2nd seating.

I know Joann posted this before, but we still have not heard anything from DCL regarding our DIS Meet. I am hoping we will hear something next week.

I also know that some DISers are or will be starting their vacations and may not have access to the internet. For those who might miss out on the location I will post a magnet on my cabin door (8048) with the location of the DIS Meet. Hopefully this will help those heading out on vacation early.
